It was absolutely ridiculous for you to land in this kind of situation.
A lean young man, with wild silver hair and sharp onyx eyes that emitted a dangerous glint from the moon's light gazed at you condescendingly. Red ropes attached to his arms wrapped you tightly, closing off any chances of escape.
"You bastard..."
"I don't really appreciate being called that by the likes of you. Shut your mouth or I'll end your pathetic life right here, right now." He hissed. You were left with no choice but to comply. There's just no way you'll let this mission end to that. Dying was and will never be an option.
A rich man of power from your home country ordered a man named Ja'far be killed. For what reasons, you didn't inquired any further. Your job was to kill, it's the blades which only need to speak.
"Ja'far, stop." A voice commanded. Our heads turned to the direction of its source in a split second and saw a tall man with long purple locks tied in a ponytail that fell on his back. His golden orbs met my (e/c) ones. I gasped internally, and I immediately broke off the eye contact.
'These people... They're not ordinary.'
"But Sin..." Ja'far lowered his stiff shoulders almost hesitantly. The man he called Sin walked closer towards us, a calm smile curling his lips upwards. It honestly made him look more charming under the moon's ominous light shower, I think.
"You can let her go." He raised a hand up. Even if he was on his back, I can clearly see the white-haired man's expression- utter disbelief. Well, of course, that would be a giveaway. I mean, who would let a positively dangerous assassin on the loose when you have already pinned her on the ground?
That's right. I did thought they weren't ordinary, but they are stupid all the same.
"Don't even dare do anything reckless or else I'll..." Ja'far remove the red ropes binding me. Without wasting another second I took out my [weapon of choice] and aimed for his neck. This might be the only chance I can get. Let's finish this job before anything else happens. But alas, what awaited me was a lot different than I have expected.
He swung out his arms, releasing the red ropes that once captured me. They moved across the midnight air like snakes, and instantly wrapped themselves around my wrists, making me drop my [weapon of choice].
"Ack!" I winced, feeling an unusual stinging pain course from my wrist up to my arms. He pulled me closer to him by the ropes, and my lips, never have I expected it, landed in a gentle manner on his.
'What the heck?!'
Okay, so is this really happening. Woah there, my job is to kill you. Let's not make this some cliche movie scene, okay?
I struggled out of his grasp, but it was all in vain. He had me strongly pinned in his chest, and my strength seems to be fading away. I can sense it, something is definitely off. This is not just an innocent, ewww, kiss.
The last thing I saw was a pair of treacherous onyx eyes looking directly into mine before drifting into the unknown world of complete darkness.

"About time you wake up." He said. (Y/n) jolted upwards, only to fall back into the bed. Her head throbbed slightly with pain, and she couldn't remember much.
"Where am I?" She asked.
"In a room, obviously." Was the man's reply.
'Why you-!'
Then it hit her, everything all at once. She remembered now who he is, and why on earth she's on this unfamiliar place. While the vizier seems to be busy with something else, (y/n) carefully fumbled her hands around for her weapons, clinging to the tiny percent of hope that it was left to stay by her side.
"Even if it's in your hands you won't be able to kill me." Ja'far said, his back still facing her. (Y/n)'s eyes widened in surprise.
"Let me go already." She said.
"As if. You still have to pay for what you did." Ja'far spat, still on his back dealing with something which seems to look like important documents.
'What... I did...' (Y/n) pondered for a bit. Her mind made her see the events that has transpired only a few hours ago, but this time, she happened to notice something that she didn't know was supposed to be there.
"Y-you kissed me!" She pointed an accusing finger at the advisor. Ja'far twisted his head back a little, just enough to see the female assassin's red face. He raised on eyebrow, then lowered them down when he finally caught up to what she was referring to.
"Don't take it personally. I just drugged you that's all." He said in a steady voice. (Y/n) muttered a soundless 'oh.'
'Well, that explains everything... Still...'
Her fingers wandered to her lips, now cold and a little chapped.
'That kiss...'

It was around midnight. Everyone was supposedly be fast asleep in their own beds storing enough energy to keep them up the next day. However, there is a certain white-haired advisor roaming around the empty Sindrian halls. Traces of restlessness was visible on his freckled face.
He rounded the corner, shuffled his feet as silently as he could then turned again, leading him to the serene palace gardens. Ja'far isn't exactly an outdoor person, but during these times when he can't just find the perfect spell to put him to sleep he'd go to this place. Moonlight shone gloriously over the abundant shades of green and even a few hints of pastels.
Ja'far closed his eyes and stood there at the garden's entrance. He inhaled the fresh ocean breeze sweeping past him and let out a relieved sigh. He couldn't help but smile now that he's feeling a lot more relaxed.
Then in the middle of what should be a peaceful moment, he felt a nearby presence, the type that he wouldn't want hanging around.
"Show yourself." He demanded. Darts made of steel surfaced from his sleeves as he strained his senses to perceive more of the surroundings.
'Where could he be?' Ja'far squinted his eyes. The sound of grass moving made him spin his heel, and he attacked the nearest bush to him.
"Okay! Okay! I surrender! Geez!" A woman with (h/l), (h/c) hair and (e/c) eyes rose from the bushes. Ja'far retracted his darts back, which have caught the woman's left arm and glowered at her.
"(Y/n)...." He hissed. She awkwardly rubbed the back of her neck and smiled sheepishly at the angry advisor.
"Hey there, Ja'far-san!" (Y/n) waved her hand lightly.
"Don't fool around making yourself suspicious." He chastised.
"I wasn't! I just finished my work and was just about to go to sleep... Well, what do you have to say for yourself? You're still awake too!" She exclaimed, pointing an accusing finger at the white-haired man.
"I can't sleep."
"..."
"..."
"Want me to sing you a lullaby?" (Y/n) offered, a willing bright smile gracing her lips. Ja'far gave her a look of disbelief.
"No thanks." He replied.
"Oh, come on." She grabbed his wrist and dragged him towards the foot of a big tree. It almost surprised her that the advisor wasn't protesting, but then Ja'far has had enough to even speak up for anything.
"Now, close your eyes and try to relax." (Y/n) smiled. She already put them in a position that made Ja'far feel embarrassed to admit was comfortable. His head is rested on her folded lap, and honestly, this was better than his own bed.
"There I was, an empty piece of a shell...
Just mindin' my own world, without even knowing... What love and life were all about."
(Y/n) stopped, giving the napping advisor a cautious look. He cracked one eye open and urged for her to carry on.
"Then you came, and brought me out of the shell. You gave the world to me, and before I knew.... There I was so in love with you~
You gave me a reason for my being, and I love what I'm feeling.
You gave me a meaning to my life... Yes I've gone beyond existing...
And it all began...
When I met you~"
The wind blew again, softly, and Ja'far slightly opened his eyes. He smiled.
"You had a surprisingly beautiful voice." Then he closed his eyes again, but his smile remained there, unfazed. A small blush tinted (y/n)'s pale cheeks.
"W-well, thank you..." She stuttered.
"Please sing to me like this every night." Ja'far requested, his head still laying on the (h/c)-haired woman's lap.
(Y/n) raised a brow and scoffed. "What's that, a proposal or something?"
To her surprise, Ja'far suddenly lifted himself up and leaned close to her until their faces were only mere inches apart.
"Maybe..." He smirked. Without warning, the advisor boldly connected their lips, kissing her softly. (Y/n) was surprised. She didn't know how to react on these kind of situations but she just let herself melt into the sweet sensation of their lips moving in sync.
He got up after that, dusted whatever got caught in his robes and left casually as if nothing happened. (Y/n) wasn't able to say anything. She still hasn't gotten over about that kiss. With her fingertips touching her lips and a bright blush spread across her cheeks, she wondered what will happen to the both of them in the future, two former assassins brought together by fate in the island of Sindria.

Well, that escalated quickly....
