Step by step, you trudged the narrow path of a dangerous cliff carefully. It wasn't like you to be out here in this kind of places. Heights, deep waters down below and small space- triple kill to your soul. But you know what they say, love can make people do foolish things.

This whole venture rooted from an event that transpired earlier that morning, where you thought everything will start off as normal like how it is everyday. After sleeping in (again), you rushed to the kitchen for breakfast. While you are eating with others who also woke up late (namely Sinbad) you noticed something was off.

"Hey, why are you late?" You asked the king who was seated at the master's chair of the table.

"Oh. Ja'far did not wake me up this time so..." His eyes wandered off to the side as he chuckled lightly.

"Geez, what a bother. Can't you wake up early on your own?" I complained after gulping down a spoonful of rice

"Ummm..."

"You spent the last night drinking again, didn't you?" I asked him through squinted eyes. The king immediately denied my statement.

"N-no! Ahahaha, I already stopped drinking (y/n). Didn't I made a promise?" He smiled coyly.

Yeah. I remembered that. 2 weeks ago he promised me not to drink wine for the whole month. Only for the whole month though, he can't survive without wine for too long. Of course I let him, it's better than nothing. Besides, I don't want to be blamed for this idiotic king's death.

"Okay. But I should check to make sure." I stood up from my chair, went over and leaned to him real close. "Eh? What are you doing (y/n)-chan?"

"I'm going to smell your mouth for traces of alcohol."

"Or you just want a morning kiss? All you need to do is ask, my little kitten." He winked. I almost smacked him. This royal flirt! Ignoring his advances, I leaned closer so that my nose would be at the right proximity. But before I can even do anything, someone yanked my face away.

"Hey. Stop flirting so early in the morning you late wakers." Ja'far complained with a visible irked expression. Sinbad and I jumped in surprise.

"J-Ja'far-sama! Good morning!" I greeted. Sinbad looked at me in disbelief. "Seriously? With the 'sama'?"

"Shush! He's angry!"

"Don't even try. I can hear the both of you." Ja'far dully said.

"Hey, you don't look good today Ja'far. Are you sure you should be going to work in that condition?"

His skin is paler than usual, and the bags under his eyes looks horribly heavy. Hahaha that's funny. I suddenly felt guilty for just goofing around.

"No. I need to keep the gears of this country moving or else it'll die."

"But what is king Sinbad for?" I asked.

"Yeah what am I for?" The king pointed to himself.

"You... YOU SHOULD BE THE ONE WORKING. NOW QUICKLY FINISH YOUR MEAL AND CLEAN UP THE MESS YOU MADE AT THE BROTHEL LAST NIGHT, SHAMELESS MAN." Ja'far threatened.

"So you did not drink... But you went brothel hopping. Are you testing my patience, king?"

"W-what's with you two? Someone help me!" Sinbad wailed, as two angry viziers tortured him mercilessly.

"Ja'far-san is grumpier today." I sighed. It was already afternoon and I decided that maybe I should help out Yamu at the lab, considering that my schedule for today is practically empty. Yamraiha hummed in response as she added another teaspoon of glittery powder on the potion she's making.

"I think you should just let him be (y/n)-chan, Ja'far isn't getting much sleep these days." Yamraiha explained. I let out another sigh.

"He won't take a break either. He keeps on working even if it's his day off. I wish I can do something. Like some sort of medicine that can give him energy." I said.

"Oh, about that, I've heard that there's a special herb growing in this island. It can give instant stamina to those who'll drink it's essence. I was able to purchase one before, but that's that, it's too rare to be seen in the market everyday." Yamraiha said.

"Then where can I pick it?" I asked eagerly. Yamraiha clicked her tongue and wiggled her finger in disapproval.

"You can't go there (y/n)-chan. It's the scariest place here in Sindria." She said.

"Scariest? Oh, you mean that cliff where you are confronted with your greatest fears?"

"Yeah, that's that. But I'm telling you (y/n)-chan you can't go--- (y/n)...chan?"

And you were gone before she noticed it.

Back to the present.

"Almost... There..." You said between grunts. The farther you go, the narrower the path gets. And for the first time you were thankful that you have Cinderella feet or else you wouldn't have gotten this far.

You took two more deadly steps, and from that distance you can finally see what you were searching for: the most precious white flower, Camella.

Fueled up with determination, you continued onwards. All those fear stirring up your heart earlier have miraculously disappeared upon the sight of your almost reached goal.

'I wonder if it can also cure phobias.'

And snatch. In your hands right now were a beautiful bunch of Camella. It has a sweet smell, almost making you lose focus. Carefully stuffing it in a small bag, you began another journey on the narrow edges of the cliff.

As you were going back, a horrible image appeared at the last end of your path just before it round the corner. A dead body as you presumed was soaking in its own pool of blood. You gasped. How can this happen so quickly?

But this was all just an illusion. True to its legend, this cliff is dangerous for supernatural causes. Right now, the body you are seeing is not real. However even with a little knowledge of the horrifying story that lingers around this place, you can't help but tremble in fear. This would be the fourth thing that would kill your heart.

Tears slipped out your (e/c) eyes. You can't take this anymore. The remaining of your willpower and courage ebbed away as you let go of your hold to the cliff's walls.

Resulting to your fall.

It was already too late when you realized your mistake. You screamed for dear life, but soon realized that everything was in vain. No matter how you struggle you wouldn't be saved.

Would I really die like this? How pathetic. If Ja'far learned of this he'd surely...

That's right. I came here because of him. I wanted him to feel better but in the end there's nothing I can do.

You closed your eyes, the remaining of your salty tears escaping.

At the very least I want to accept my tragic fate before my death.

You smiled. How are you able to think of that when faced by danger? Then you wondered if that's the reason most of the time you can't get along with Ja'far. He's always serious and dour looking. You on the other hand, is living life the easiest way. The two of you are polar opposites.

Even still, I learned to love that guy. What a shame really, that I wasn't able to tell him.

"I'm still angry with you, you know." Ja'far said as he restrained himself from wrapping the bandages in your arms harshly. You were luckily saved by this man by the way. It seems that Yamuraiha was able to get help immediately. However after that whole Camella incident, you two have been caught in some sort of disagreement.

"I don't care. Why are you the one replacing my bandages anyway? You're a vizier not a nurse... A friendly reminder in case you unintentionally forgot what your real job is." You snorted. Ja'far rolled his eyes in reply.

"I just want to see how you're doing... And also to say thank you. The Camella essence have helped me a lot." He said quietly.

"You-... How?"

"Yamraiha."

"Oh." And that was more than enough. You beamed him the brightest smile you can and pet his hair.

"You're really cute Ja'far!" You said. A faint blush dusted across his cheeks.

"Am not." He argued.

"Yes you are." You teased.

"If you don't stop I'll have to force your mouth shut." He threatened. You smiled ever so sweetly at him as you leaned closer.

"And how are going to do that?" You asked, with a challenging smile lifting your lips upwards. It was the end of the line for Ja'far. Everyone knew how short his patience is to be foolishly tested. Without warning, he connected his lips to yours.

You freaked out. The nerve of this guy! Ja'far was the one you least expected to do this kind of surprising gestures. However this kind of change isn't bad at all. His lips are actually soft and sweet.

"I think it worked." He said, quite satisfied. You on the other had was blushing at the deepest shades of crimson.

"Just you wait..." You clenched the sheets on your lap. Ja'far chuckled.

"I hope next time you would be the one to initiate. Get well soon okay? You have a lot of work to catch up to." Ja'far picked up the medical supplies he brought with him and left the room. You stayed in bed, steam literally going off your head.
