Morgiana was forced forward by the chains that had bounded her hands.

She took an unwilling step, then another, and another.

Being a slave was a hard life. Your owners would more than likely see you as a mere puppet.

Something that had no soul or will, but if moved the right way, then it'd do whatever you wanted them too.

Morgiana looked to the floor bitterly. She kept walking, only kept going by her master's constant yanks on her chains.

She hated her life. She hated how her chains no longer held just her physical body, but her soul.

It was enough to drive anyone insane, but there was something keeping her going.

The thought of meeting her soulmate. Sure it was a silly dream, but it was something her mother would say to her.

She could almost hear her mother's melodic voice singing to her.

Grey to blue
Maybe even red or green
So many colors to explore
Await your soulmate
He'll be in plain sight
Waiting to be seen
It's already been determined by fate
He'll love you
And you'll love him too

That's what she'd say. That was the only memory Morgiana had of her mom, so of course she clung to it as her last hope.

" Hurry up!" Jamil hissed. He pulled on her chains roughly.

Fear struck Morgiana like a cold wave as she thought about what he would do to her.

She hurried up, mumbling a quiet, " Yes master Jamil."

And yet again she was reminded of the reality that there probably was no soulmate for her.

She'd never be able to see color. In a way it probably didn't matter. Grey was a very fitting color for a life as tragic as hers.

" Go get me some fruit. You have five minutes to do so." Jamil said suddenly.

Morgiana stared at him curiously as he handed her just enough money for fruit.

Before she could go, he roughly grabbed her arm.

With a scary and sadistic grin painted on his face he said, " You know what'll happen if you do something wrong."

His words shook Morgiana to the core. She could hardly look away from his amused eyes, but she somehow managed to tear her gaze away from him.

" Yes master Jamil." She said. She shakily walked away from him, almost afraid that he'd try to stab her from behind.

When she got farther away from him, she felt more at ease. She looked around for any type of fruit she could.

She bought a good amount of them and put them all in a basket. As she walked back to where Jamil was, someone bumped into her.

A terrified gasp escaped her as she realized that all the fruit she had fell out the basket.

She barely paid the person any mind as she hurriedly picked them all up. However, she could hear some of the things he and his companion said.

" Alibaba! Apologize!" A young voice scolded.

" I-I'm-" His sentenced stopped as he let out a surprised gasp.

Slightly concerned, Morgiana looked to the young man.

As their eyes met, their world around them changed. No longer was it the dull grey they had been accustomed to, but colorful.

So many colors, all of which they didn't know the names to.

Tears of joy and sadness ran down her cheeks as she stared at her soulmate.

She had finally met him, and just like her mother had said, it was all in plain sight.

Alibaba looked at her pink orbs with a look of wonder and amazement.

Morgiana stared into his golden eyes with the same look. She already loved the warm and loving look they held.

They made her feel free.

" You're so beautiful." He said. As he realized what he said, he suddenly became flustered.

A small grin tugged at the edges of her lips, along with a small giggle that threatened to escape her.

" Morgiana."

Just like that, her fantasy was pulled from right under her, and now the chains holding her soul were back.

Icy cold fear gripped its hand around her heart. She trembled as she turned around the meet the murderous eyes of her owner.

" Who do you think you are disobeying what I said?" He snarled, " Now you're really going to pay."

As he reached out to grab her chains, warm arms pulled her back.

She heard a snap and felt the weight around her hands and feet disappear.

Before she could comprehend what was going on, they were high up in the air.

She could hear Jamil's angry cries and curses towards her. She shuddered and started to struggle in Alibaba's grip.

Her struggling stopped in an instant when she saw his worried eyes. More tears streamed down her eyes.

" Please don't cry. I'll protect you, I promise." He whispered in her ear.

Morgiana found comfort in his words, whether they were true or not.

For the longest time they stayed like that. Just comforting each other with sweet promises and warm embraces.

After a while, Morgiana fell asleep in his arms.

" Alibaba, is she going to be okay?" Aladdin asked. He had been staring at the two curiously, but didn't question them.

" She will be. I'll make sure of it, even if it kills me." Alibaba promised.

A year passed, and a lot had happened. With the whole soulmate thing and the constant chaos, things were never truly normal.

Alibaba kept true to his promise and helped Morgiana the best way he could, but it wasn't enough.

She still had haunting nightmares of her past, and a ghost of her chains still held her down.

Morgiana didn't care though. As long as she had Alibaba, she felt free.

Not only free, but happy. There were sad moments along the way, but he always helped her through those.

That's why her heart burst when he said the words, " I love you."

She looked at him with a cheerful smile. " I love you too." She replied.

She stared into his golden eyes while saying that, remembering the day she had met him.

His eyes were the first colorful thing she saw. She loved looking at them.

They were a reminder that her dull and gloomy past was gone, and now a beautiful and colorful one awaited.

The best part was that Alibaba would be there to help her explore it.
