Break, or known to most as recess.. probably my favorite place to be in. a time to catch up on work and to talk to friends. Lira was out of sight before i knew it, but that didn't really bother me. She probably had more friends than just me.. thats usually how it is. With that thought in my mind,
I decided to look for some more people to call friends.
Popular people usually aren't what I want. Most are just simple jerks.. no offense to anyone reading this. Nerds.. i guess i am one a little.. I do know a lot about tech after all. Truly I just want someone that respects me. Someone I can talk to whenever im down... same would go for them.
I saw a girl about my age sitting alone. She seemed to be worried. Ok Maggie, now is your chance. I walked over to the girl, and she noticed me right away. "oh.. hi there.," she said almost faintly. "Hi.. i couldn't help but notice no one is near you..". The girl looked down. "I'm not good at socializing.." "well.. may I sit here?" I asked. The girl nodded. I sat next to her.
"My name is Maggie. What's yours?".
"Rosie..," she answered. Haven't I heard this name before? "Rosie.. nice to meet you... Do i know you from somewhere?" I said. Rosie thought for a moment. "Well.. my brother Draco is part of our kingdom's army. Maybe that's where." I thought I heard of her. "Regardless... its nice to meet you two," she said faintly. "Are you ok Rosie?" I said. She shook her head slowly. "Draco hasn't come back from his mission.... it's been a month now.. and i'm left here to worry.." "I'm sorry... I'm sure he is okay Rosie." Rosie looked at me. "I hope so... I just wish I had some sort of clue.."
Poor girl is worried for her brother. I don't know what I would do if Greg went missing. Like last night, I was worried sick.. but he was in the room the entire time. I don't think it's the same for her. Draco is out there, doing his job. She must really look up to him.
Maybe I should try to cheer her up... but how? Welp here goes the most stupid way ever. "Is there any way I can help?" I asked. "I don't know.. I guess I need to stop thinking about it." she said. "worrying won't get me anywhere." "If only it were that easy," I said. "yeah. if only.." she looked at me. "Thank you.. i feel a little better," she said with a smile. "of course," I said back.
For a moment we sat there in silence. Then she broke the silence. "do you want to be friends?" she asked. "yeah.. aren't we friends already?" i said back. She chuckled. "yeah, i guess so." The bell rang, and that means recess is over. "cya Rosie," I said and went my way.
On my way back, I noticed a little booth near the cafeteria. Two people, one about my age and the other slightly younger, were there. The left boy had amber orange eyes with classy brown hair, and the right boy had blue eyes with short hair. The booth said "Make a Cause! Join the Legion!" I went over to the booth. "excuse me, what is this Legion?" I asked.
"The Legion is another word for simply support of the army, or basically any work from the castle," the left boy said. "anyone can join, but must meet conditions, like trust, skills, and much more. Usually Catherine is pretty persuasive with recruits.. since she trains them herself," the right boy said. So Catherine the Ruler of our kingdom is behind this. Maybe they could use someone in the tech skills.
"I will have to think about it, thank you!" I said and took a flyer. "you can go to the castle if you decide to, one of us will lead you from there," the left boy said. "have a wonderful day miss!" the right boy said.
Those two are pretty cute, not gonna lie.
However, that shouldn't be the reason I join. I wonder if Rosie has thought about joining. Hell, she probably already has. Maybe the Legion would be just what i need.. but for now, back to school. I headed towards my next class.
