Sans is a MONSTER and not a HUMAN, so he doesn't follow HUMAN biology like a HUMAN skeleton. Same with Gaster and Papyrus.

---------------------------------

It was weird to think, that she had a little office to herself now, with a large desk chair that had the capability to spin around, if you were feeling like a little kid. To tell the honest truth, it was a little bit overwhelming to know that she - Frisk - was now a Mafia boss. This definitely was not the direction she imagined her life taking, when she was growing up at a vulnerable, 19 year old girl, and she was brought into the Mafia for the first time. It was funny, the kind of directions life sometimes decided to take you in, because it definitely did things from time to time that you did not expect.

She knew it would take some getting used to. Sans of all people was having a hard time accepting the fact that Frisk had gone ahead and taken such a position, even though he had seemed like he had warmed up to her the other night on the sidewalk, as he had held her close. He gave her a warning, sure, and that was not to screw up, (or to miss their children's play in a couple of days), and she knew she wouldn't do that. She wouldn't go and put work before him and their children - that's what she told him.

However, despite her saying that, later that night, when they were laying in bed together, he wasn't much for cuddling. In fact, he seemed to lie in bed, with the covers pulled up close to his chest, while his back was turned to her. Any time she tried to cuddle up close to him, he seemed to edge away a tiny bit, making it clear he was still angry with her. But she didn't know what else to tell him, other than the fact that she was sorry, and her reasoning for doing this. She wanted to help everyone in the Mafia by stopping it from shutting down, and if her being the boss was what was going to do that, then she was willing to take up such a task. She would be able to handle it.

Sans on the other hand, didn't have much faith in her. If a much older goat man, who had a family of his own, was terrible at handling his time despite how much his family meant to him, then he couldn't help but think that the same fate would only fall upon Frisk. The monster did not want to think that he would end up giving up completely on Frisk, but if she kept testing his patience, he wasn't sure if his love for her was going to be enough to keep him around. Once again, he was sadly fiddling with the ring on his finger, while Leo and Luna were playing, with a friend that they actually made at kindergarten. The parent of the child had dropped them off earlier that day, so the three could play together. The third child was a human boy, with brown hair and brown eyes, and his name was Kyle. It was nice, because despite Leo feeling like he was the outcast in the class, he had actually managed to make a friend, and from what Sans could see and hear, they were having a nice time.

What would he actually do if him and Frisk didn't work out? He couldn't believe he was actually thinking this, as he glumly glanced towards Leo and Luna playing with their friend, with smiles and giggles. He wanted to believe in his future with Frisk, like he always had done ever since they had fallen in love and they had gotten together. Frisk did love him, didn't she? Otherwise, she wouldn't have wanted to propose to him. He knew she was likely just trying to do a good thing for everyone else, so they didn't all lose their jobs, but what about him? What about Leo and Luna? It may have sounded shit, but he could give a fuck less about everyone else, if it meant Frisk wouldn't have so much of her time getting taken up by this. And what about her cafe job? Was she just not going to go to that anymore?

He so badly didn't want to lose Frisk. Matter of fact, he so badly didn't want to be the one who would end up putting his foot down and saying that he wanted to put an end to the relationship; it just wasn't working out. He didn't want that to happen, whatsoever. But if Frisk missed Leo and Luna's play... He sighed. All he had to do, was believe that she wouldn't be so stupid, that she would just stop and think. Because he didn't think that she was stupid. Frisk was a very smart girl for her age, in his opinion. He could tell, she wanted to do the right thing, by doing this whole thing, but by doing so, she was affecting their relationship.

"Daddy? Why do you look super sad?" Luna had asked, looking upset herself, as she didn't like it when people around her were feeling down. "Is it because we didn't ask you to play? You can play with us if you want!" She said, feeling worried that perhaps their dad felt left out of their games, and her saying that did crack a small smile across his mouth. He chuckled and shook his head, as he gently patted her on the head, before deciding to move some of her hair out of her face.

"no, don't worry. daddy was just thinkin' about some stuff, that's all. ya can go back to playin'." He reassured her, not wanting her to think that she and Leo were the reason for him feeling sad. It was just him, overthinking, as usual. Chances are, everything would be okay, and he had no reason to begin worrying about him and Frisk. In fact, a part of him felt extremely terrible that he was even questioning her, and it made him ponder if he was even worthy of her if he was choosing not to believe in her as much anymore.

"Okay... But you can play with us if you want!" She said, before going back to playing with her brother and their newfound friend. Again, Sans gave a tiny smile, but it soon faded when the kids weren't paying attention to him anymore. He frowned, staring down towards the floor, until he heard his phone buzz within his pocket. Pausing for a second, he glanced towards his pocket his phone was in, until he reached for it and pulled it out, only to see he received a text from Frisk.

"I love you. x" Was all it said, and admittedly, it slightly made his soul swoon, because she was still thinking of him even as she was working. She hadn't just completely forgotten about him. Frisk wasn't a bad person, so he knew that perhaps she would try her best to arrange how much time she would spend on each thing. Hell, perhaps she would find someone else who would be able to be the boss, and she would be able to go back to her more normal job. He would have preferred if she was just working at that cafe, with her friend Kai, where things were more natural than working at the Mafia. It likely wouldn't be that simple though.

"i love you too. x" He texted back, before sending it. Because he did. He was crazy about Frisk. Ever since falling so hard in love with her, he found it crazy to believe it was possible to love someone this much; to care about someone this much. He didn't even think he was capable of feeling such things anymore, until Frisk caused him to fall incredibly hard for her. He would never forget the day he confessed to her, and the way she looked at him when he told her he loved her for the very first time. Never, would he forget the very first time he trusted her, and she trusted him, for them to make love. That was an unforgettable night that they had shared, and Sans had adored every second of getting to show just how much he cared about her. Any moment they shared like that together always meant a lot to him, not just because it was sex, (and sex was obviously fun), but because... It was just, so romantic.

There was so much that he adored about his relationship with Frisk, that he just couldn't stand to lose it. So, he would try his best to hold on, and to keep remaining patient. He just had to keep having belief in Frisk, that she knew what she was doing.

Frisk knew what she was doing. Right?
