Sans is a MONSTER and not a HUMAN, so he doesn't follow HUMAN biology like a HUMAN skeleton. Same with Gaster and Papyrus.

Author note: Sorry for the lack of updates recently. I ended up getting sick so I had spent my time recovering, but also annoyingly at around the same time, I ended up getting writers block. So, sorry that this chapter is probably quite short, and that there isn't a lot going on. Just had to try and push past that writers block.

"Mommy!" Luna happily squealed, practically the moment that Frisk and Sans had come through the front door, and the two kids had seen them. Since waking up, Frisk had been staying in bed for another couple of days, and all the while Toriel had been happily watching over the two children, keeping them entertained and distracted from the absence of their two parents. Leo had definitely been the hardest of the two to keep pleased when his parents were nowhere to be found, but Toriel definitely managed it for the past few days.

"Careful, mommy is very tired, okay?" Frisk gently said to the small girl, who had been hugging at her legs as a way to greet her. But despite her warning to the 6 year old, Frisk was smiling from ear to ear, overjoyed to be able to have eyes on her own two children again. Leo of course proceeded to ask if she was really at aunt Chara's, and upon hearing that, Frisk went along with Sans' lie. "Yes, I was. Sorry that I didn't let you two know, but things were a little hectic. I hope you can forgive me." Frisk giggled a little, only for Luna to happily say that they would gladly forgive her.

Sans found it difficult not to grin at their two children interacting with their mom, before he glanced towards Toriel, who was also beaming, and he couldn't help but give her a look of gratitude for looking after them. Even if she had offered to babysit them for as long as was needed, he was still extremely thankful to her. Two kids could be a handful after all, but then again, he had to remember that she had to look after two of her own at one point. So, perhaps two kids were nothing to her when it came to the difficulties of parenting.

"they weren't much trouble, were they?" Sans muttered quietly to the goat woman, as the kids were more focused on their mom right about now, who was laughing even now at how happy they were to see her. Toriel shook her head at Sans' question, as they hadn't been a bother whatsoever. They were good kids, even if Leo took after his father, so he could sometimes have a bit of an attitude. Toriel wouldn't change those two no matter what. "well, thanks, again. for the help.

"Any time, Sans." Toriel replied kindly, as she and the skeleton continued to watch the kids fussing over their mother, until eventually the goat woman had to take her leave. Each of the kids said goodbye to the monster, before the parents proceeded to do the same. Once she had left, it was only Sans, Frisk, Leo and Luna now, and honestly, Sans had just missed being home; being with his future wife, and his kids.

"Mommy, daddy! I've been wanting to tell you for the past few days - we're doing a play!" Luna was later squealing, as the family found themselves in the living room as Frisk was allowed to sit down and rest, with the skeleton sitting next to her. Both Sans and Frisk rose their eyebrows, while Leo on the other hand just looked like he wasn't interested in the conversation. "It's about baby J-Jeswus, I think..." Luna went on, which made it clear to the parents that it must have been in the theme of Christmas. Leo didn't want to be a part of the play, just because he didn't really like standing up in front of everyone in their stupid class. He didn't want people to find him more strange than they already found him.

"I don't want to do a stupid play... Everyone is just going to laugh at me..." Leo pouted sadly from where he was sitting. Luna already knew how much he didn't want to do it, and she had been trying her best to make him feel better about the situation, but being a small child with only so much knowledge of trying to cheer someone up, she could only do so much for her little brother. Frisk looked saddened for her son who clearly just wasn't a people person, even at the age of 6 years old, and she was ready to say something, at least until Sans spoke up before her.

"it's only 'cause i'm sure ya would be able to act a million times better than them. they'll be jealous." Sans grinned towards his son, who for a second still looked unconvinced, at least until his comment slowly did begin to make Leo smile at the thought of people just being jealous of him. "just show that you're greater than they are, cause ya are." Sans told him, continuing to grin while Leo remained quiet, but he nodded a little. Yeah... He could do that, couldn't he? He could show that he was better than those meanies in his class who judged him with those watchful eyes of theirs. Just because they didn't understand.

"Not just that, but you'll have us watching and cheering you on, our little hero." Frisk beamed, earning a small chuckle and nod out of Sans, while Luna beamed with happiness at how Leo appeared to be getting a little chirpier as a result of their parent's kindness. It was difficult not to feel all warm inside when Sans saw that genuinely happy look on Leo's face at the thought of them being there to see him perform. Cause if anyone's opinions would matter to him, it would likely be the opinions of his parents.

"Yeah, you'll be so cool!" Luna praised her little brother, as all she ever wanted to do was make him feel good about himself, as a good sister should. Even being so little herself, she wanted to protect her younger sibling, and make sure that he was happy. She didn't like seeing him looking so sad, which is why she wanted to try hard to make sure that he wasn't unhappy, and that he would enjoy doing this little play that they were going to do. And it seemed to be working, as Leo did definitely look in a slightly better mood now due to everyone seeming to want to try and cheer him on.

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad... His dad was right, people were just jealous of him, that's what it was. He shouldn't have to care about what the others thought of him, because he could be better than them. Him and his older sister could show all the other kids in their class how you were supposed to act in a play. Yeah! He would show them. Then they would probably only want to be friends with him for being so cool at delivering a couple of lines. It was sweet to see, seeing how Leo went from being miserable about the play, to suddenly seeming excited. Both Sans and Frisk smiled at each other, glad they were able to make their son happy.

Good thing was that nothing would be able to interfere with watching his and Luna's performance, because by the time their play rolled around, Frisk would have likely quit the Mafia because they would have dealt with that scum of a guy who thought he could just attack and try to kill someone and get away with it, and Sans tended to have more free time on his hands these days anyway, (mostly by choice).

As parents, they were really looking forward to it.
