Disclaimer: This is a sequel to my other Mafiatale book, called Mafiatale - Living Life Among Crime. If you have not yet read that one, I would suggest you do, for things to make more sense.
I don't know if I'll be able to always update this one as often as I updated the first, but I will definitely try my best. ^-^
Sans is a MONSTER and not a HUMAN, so he doesn't follow HUMAN biology like a HUMAN skeleton. Same with Gaster and Papyrus.
------------------------------------
Being 26 years old... Now, that's definitely an age Frisk never saw herself reaching the day she had lost her parents. It was funny how some things happened that you would never have expected to happen in a million years. She had no idea that her life of living on the streets after the murder of her parents would send her on this whole crazy, scary, but exciting adventure. There was absolutely no indication that meeting two members of the Mafia, would cause her to have some of the best moments of her life. Sans - he had started off as this big, frightening monster who she had been so hesitant to be around. Little did she know that one day, she and this monster would fall in love, and they would end up being parents together. Parents to little baby Luna and Leo. But they hardly felt like babies anymore, already being six years old. How time flies.
"Frisk? Frisk? Hey, punk!" A familiar voice screeched into an earpiece, definitely causing her ear to ache in the process. She winced, holding her hand up to her ear. "Now isn't the time to go spacing out. If you wanted to do that, you could have stayed at home." Undyne grumbled on the other end of her earpiece, which caused her to roll her eyes. Though, despite the fish's complaints, a small smile did still crack along her lips. Right now, she was currently lying down on her stomach in a tight fitting air vent, overlooking a bright room which looked almost like an office. She was dressed in black from head to toe - a black long sleeved shirt, with black gloves and black pants, lastly with black shoes. "You remember why you're there, right?"
"Yes, Undyne." Frisk whispered, wanting to keep her voice down. Since the CIA and the Mafia had butted heads, it wasn't until later that the two of them decided to become a team, deciding to help each other with issues if needed. Though, they only really ever used each other to their advantage if there was no other option. Right now, Frisk's mission was actually an assassination mission, which was no problem at all. The man she was currently after was said to be pretty dangerous by Undyne, who had described him to her before she had gone on this mission.
"His real name is Todd Sanchez. Goes by the name TZ for short. We've tried to catch him many times but... He always manages to get away just when we're close to catching him." Undyne had explained. The question was what was he guilty for, and it was soon after that the fish lady went on to say that he was known for the murders of countless people - mostly younger girls. And if he wasn't killing them, he was probably kidnapping them and sending them away, elsewhere. Many girls who were known to come into contact with him were never seen again.
Such a thing would have scared Frisk, had she still been her 19 - 20 year old self who was still getting used to the whole Mafia scene. It wasn't until one night where she had managed to track down her parents killers and she murdered one of them in cold blood, that she started going on solo missions more often. At first, it had freaked her out to know that person's blood was on her hands. Now, it was something that was too far back in her past to care about. Sans had tried to argue with her a lot about the idea of her going on dangerous missions alone; eventually he had to give in that she could look after herself, and it wasn't like she was that cowardly 19 - 20 year old girl anymore.
"This has to go down quietly, Frisk. If this goes wrong and you get caught... I'm not sure if we'll be able to rescue you." Undyne admitted with a frown, but to her surprise the Dreemurr girl said it was no problem. Nowadays, Frisk was full of a lot of surprises. It was quite amazing how much more of a confident woman she had become since this had all first became her life. "Well, if you say so. It's just that you have a family to get back to, so I would hate to see this all go south. But move in when the time is right."
"Got it." Frisk replied, nodding, even though the fish couldn't exactly see her. She didn't plan to fail this mission, as just like Undyne said, she had a family to get back to. Her son and daughter were likely at home with Sans, and if the skeleton was on a mission of his own, then they were bound to be getting babysat by Mettaton and Papyrus, or even Gaster, as he tended to volunteer to babysit quite often. That was what happened a lot of the time when Sans and Frisk were away from home.
That being said, the human continued to wait, and wait... The man who she was meant to take down was currently having what seemed like a meeting with three other men, and by the sounds of it he was telling them about a couple of girls they were planning on targeting. How disgusting. If she was able, she would have jumped down right now and try to take them all on at once, but such a thing was suicide, and she was here to kill Todd quietly, without attracting too much attention to herself.
After a couple more minutes, the three men went to get up, leaving the room. Frisk knew when they were clearly gone, as she heard a door slam shut once they had all left. Now it was just Todd, all alone. To her luck, he had turned around in his chair, facing towards the window he had wheeled his chair towards at the back of the room as he was grumbling to himself, something about hoping how they "wouldn't fuck up." That's when the girl went to silently lift the cover of the vent out of place, and she went to place it down, very carefully, as not to make a sound.
Around her waist, she had a belt, which had different pouches attached to it to contain things inside of them. In one of the pouches was a wire, which she could use to go down into the room. Taking the wire, she tied it around one of the screws that had screwed the vent cover in place, before screwing the screw back into place, making sure it was pretty secure before she would even dare to attempt going down into the room. Because if she fell and the wire fell with her, not only would she make a bit of noise, but it would make her escape route a little difficult.
Gripping onto the wire quite tightly, she allowed herself to fall through the opening of the vent, and she very slowly lowered herself to the office floor, lightly placing her feet on the carpet, watching carefully to see if her target had moved at all, or if he had turned around to see her. Luckily, he was still staring out of the window. Holding her breath, she reached behind her, at the back of her belt to pull a knife out of its sheath. It would just take her covering his mouth and one good strike to kill him in an instant.
Narrowing her eyes, she was thoughtful with every step, wanting to make sure she glided along almost as silently as a ghost. The grip on her blade tightened, as she was getting closer to take the strike. She did have a desk to step around, but luckily there was enough space between his seat and the desk for her to stay out of his line of sight. Staying on her toes, she was so close, almost being right behind him as she was ready to raise her knife. Her hand held no shakiness in it, as she was pretty confident with what she was about to do. She got her other hand ready to put it over his mouth so she would be able to make less noise when killing him.
However, just as her hand was ready to go for his mouth, he turned around in his chair and her eyes widened. "Well, what do we have here?" He smirked. That's when she decided to try and go in for a strike with the knife, but he simply forced it from her hand to try and use it to stab her instead. Luckily, she had gotten much better at fighting, so she did swing her leg up to kick it from his grasp, knocking it across the room.
With a growl, Todd grabbed for Frisk's neck, throwing her over the desk, which caused her to roll over onto the floor with a grunt. Their fight was already causing a bit of noise, which made Frisk concerned that other people were going to come into the room to also fight against her. To her luck, she noticed a lock on the door that didn't even need a key, so she quickly picked herself up and raced to the door, locking it. When she turned around, the man was pacing right for her. He tried to deliver a punch right to her face, which she managed to dodge as she moved her head to the side, so instead he just punched the door. He attempted again, only for the same result.
Frisk let out another grunt as he went to bring his arms up to pin her neck against the door, trying to cut off all the oxygen from her lungs. She brought one of her fists forward, going to punch him in the face. He didn't let go, so he tried again, only for him to put more force on her neck. She didn't go down easy though, as she brought one of her feet up and she went to kick him in between the legs, causing him to stumble back, and she took that opportunity to deliver a headbutt to his forehead.
With him on the ground, she ran to get the knife and knelt down to pick it up; when she heard him getting up, that's when she turned around and threw the knife right at him, still being knelt down, and she managed to catch him directly in the throat. Nice shot, she thought to herself with a smirk. "Undyne, I got him." She said into her ear piece, hearing Undyne let out a sigh of relief. "Though, I should probably get out of here. Sounds like there are a few guests on the other side of the door I wouldn't want to meet." She said, noticing how the door was beginning to get kicked in.
That's when she ran back to the wire that was still dangling from the vent and she pulled herself up it, managing to maneuver herself back into the vent. She pulled the wire back up, untied it and put it away into one of the pouches on her belt, before going to put the vent back in place. She managed to escape just in time as the door was bust open and by the looks of it at least six people rushed into the room to find their leader dead. "Good job, Frisk." Undyne was saying as Frisk was crawling back along the way she came from through the vent.
Mission accomplished.
