Deserve [84]
No, no, no, no. Sans hadn't meant for that to happen! He really hadn't! In that single moment it almost felt like no one had spoken for an eternity. All he could do was stare down at his girlfriend in shock because of what he had just accidentally done. Until he got over the shock, he couldn't move. When he could move, he was at her side in an instant, feeling so fucking guilty. "oh my god, frisk, i'm so, so sorry. i... i didn't mean..." Sans stammered, sounding genuinely apologetic. Hell, even his eyes flitted at a rapid pace, not being able to look Frisk in her tearful eyes because he was so fearful she would now hate him for this. He just had to fuck everything up now, didn't he!? Just when things were going so well! Just when they were going to move in together. She would want to leave him. He was nothing special. Just a raging maniac, that's all he was. That's probably all he would ever be.
"Sans, it's okay..." Frisk answered, snapping him out of his depressing thoughts. He looked back at her, while she smiled at him through her tears. "I know you didn't mean to. You were more focused on Andrew and being angry with him... I know you hadn't meant to hit me." She gently spoke, trying to keep the crying out of her voice. Seeing as it had hurt. Not wanting Sans to feel bad though, she wanted to stay as calm as she could.
"Good job there, skeleton man." Blair mocked from behind the cell bars, while Sans went to growl at her, telling her to shut up. This never would have happened if it wasn't for these two fuckers. Andrew had made things complicated ever since he had dated Frisk. And Blair just had to come prancing back into his life when he had just been trying to get over all the emotional and physical scarring she had dealt to him. Before he could go into another rage, Frisk gently went to put a hand on Sans' cheekbone, and pulled him in for a kiss. Not really caring that there were two other people in the room. If there was one thing that could calm Sans down, it was that. And it seemed to do just the trick as Sans was a slight blushing mess when she pulled away, and he had now fallen quiet.
"I'm sorry... I know that you hate her, Sans... I do." Andrew spoke from where he was standing, worried that he was going to go and get super angry at him again. "Truth be told, I was fearful of what you would say once you found out I had been giving her food... I thought maybe you would think I was trying to help her to go against you, like it was some kind of evil plan. I started doing it because I was scared. But... Then I started doing it because I wanted to. Because... Well... I like her." Andrew shrugged, while Sans scoffed.
"ya like her? as if. why would ya like such a soulless bein' like blair? i bet ya anythin' she doesn't give a shit about--" Sans was saying, until he glanced towards the fox and saw a strange look upon her face. Wait... No fucking way. Was he seeing what he thought he was seeing right now? Blair and Andrew? Two assholes. Okay, maybe that did make sense. But there was no way the fox would gain any kind of affection for anyone! She would probably betray Andrew the moment he decided to trust her. And what then? He would only regret it. They would all regret letting her out.
"She's really not that scary, Sans... I've been talking to her more and more since giving her food. I know she might have done terrible things to you. But that's in the past." Andrew said, causing the skeleton to glare at him once more and instantly the human felt terrified again that he was going to snap like a rubber band. However, after what had just happened with Frisk, how he accidentally hit her... He just sighed, trying to calm down.
"...fine. don't blame me if in a few weeks-- no, make that a few days and she'll break your heart. i don't believe she's capable of any kinda love." Sans mocked, before looking back towards Frisk, who had been sniffling a little and wiping her tears away. Dammit... He felt so awful. Holding out his hand to her, he waited for her to take his, before going to help the both of them up. Sans paused for a moment, looking towards Andrew, then towards Blair. "if ya really wanna let her out, you're gonna have to talk to gaster about it." Gaster was pretty good with gadgets after all. Maybe he could make something for her to wear that would stop her from exiting the building. He didn't trust Blair at all. But he didn't want her to constantly remain his responsibility. Otherwise he would never get away from her.
Holding onto Frisk's hand, he went to pull her along to leave the room with him, leaving Andrew and Blair alone once more. The moment they had left the room, Sans went to pull Frisk in for a hug without another word, not really knowing what to say. He felt like a disgrace. It might have been by accident, but he had gone and struck his girlfriend. What kind of man was he? He never wanted to hurt her ever and yet...
"Sans, look at me." She told him, wanting him to look her in the eyes while she spoke. She could tell he was extremely hesitant, but leaning back away from the hug a little, he frowned while staring back into her blue eyes. "I know that you didn't mean it. Okay? You don't need to go blaming yourself."
"but frisk... i hit ya... even if it was an accident, it happened because i couldn't control myself... i... i just got so angry and..." Sans muttered, going to look down at the floor, really not being able to look at her as he said all of this. How was it okay? He felt like she was far too forgiving sometimes. Especially towards him. He had done so many terrible things to her over the span of knowing her. And yet every time, she still came running. She still treated him like this amazing flawless guy, when he was anything but that.
"I know... I know. But come on, we can't let this ruin everything. We're moving in together, aren't we?" Frisk mentioned, smiling at that thought. Saying that slowly got the skeleton to look nervously back in her direction. "Because we want to keep moving in our relationship. Because we care about each other. No matter what, I'll always love you. And we don't need to ruin this thing between us over some silly little accident. I never want to lose you."
"i never wanna lose ya." Sans repeated back to her, feeling like he might get a little tearful himself. Frisk really turned him into such a crybaby. Before meeting her, he hated the idea of crying. The only person he really ever cried in front of before meeting Frisk was Grillby. But that was because he would sit at his bar getting stupidly drunk at least until his friend would tell him enough was enough.
"Right. So, try not to fret over it, okay? I love you, Sans. Never forget how special you are to me." She whispered, going to gently kiss him on the cheekbone. "After all, I didn't spend that amazing night with you on our date for nothing. I spent it with you because I believe you're the one I'm meant to be with. The one I hope to always remain with. Always."
"...why do ya always have to be the one with the nice things to say?" He quietly joked, while Frisk giggled in response. It was still hard to believe. Andrew and Blair, huh? They were two fools though. So perhaps it shouldn't have been so surprising that maybe they would have started falling for each other. They just had to be careful if they were really going to have Blair walking around the headquarters. People would have to keep a close eye on her.
"I do try. Now, come on. Let's head back to your place. Then we can get things unpacked and we can start enjoying the next part of our relationship together." She beamed happily. He could only stare back at her, amazed.
How did he deserve such a fantastic, forgiving woman like Frisk?
