Chapter 5

While those entertainers were fun to look at and listen to. I feel we must be getting back on track, there is so much to look at within this story and I can feel everything beginning to change. I must say this is the point where things get interesting.

Dream's POV

'His hand traveled up my leg, making contact with the waist band of my jeans. Slowly pulling them down a little, revealing unmarked pale skin. His other hand traveled up my chest teasingly pulling up my shirt, his hand made quick work before he was grabbing my chin forcefully. Turning my head to connect a kiss, our tongues danced, slowly and passionately. I lost the fight for dominance and let him do as he pleased. Using his hand he kept my head back, resting in the crook of his neck-the smell of blood and vanilla filled my senses-while his other moved from the waistband of my pants, traveling down my tight jeans towards my crotch. He rubbed over the tented area slowly palming me, I let out a small whine once he stopped. A low chuckled filled the room as he bite my ear and undid my buckle opening my pants, sliding his hand down into my underwear-'

I woke up in a cold sweat, rubbing my eyes I looked around the room and groan. I fell back on my sweat filled bed and looked over at my clock '4:30', I turned on my side towards the wall. It has been a week since college started and I have been finding myself waking up earlier and earlier in cold sweats after a wet dream, the same dream over and over again. I don't even know why I am thinking these things. Might as well make some coffee while I'm up...I walk into the kitchen and pull out a coffee pot and a mug. Waiting patiently for the coffee to finish brewing, I looked on my phone at Facebook.

Breaking News!!!

3 people shot and killed downtown, reports say the victims were part of the drug trafficking group. Police saying it's a deal gone wrong, but others are suspecting foul play. Earlier today we were brought some surprising news, apparently the FBI has arrived in town. They were seen at the police station late last night, an inside source says they are here to investigate the mysterious man known as XD. Other are saying it is related to the recent killings of the suspected drug dealers.

In other news today we have a local kids group volunteering to help rebuild the church prime garden, they are hosting an event for anyone who would like to volunteer and help later this week around 12. Now onto the weather...

I felt myself smile at the news, XD? He was starting to pop up more and more in the news, almost as if there is finally evidence against the man to an actual existence. Of course they would finally be pointing towards the old folk lore tale, the police are shit in this town. It's run by the mafias and loonies of the world, somehow the SMP draws them all here. People should learn to never trust some one who is happy to live here. But I can't seem to understand is why the FBI are interested.

If the police have barely been able to believe in the legendary fairytale, why the hell would the FBI? There must be something definite for the FBI to be so sure, I wonder what mistake the infamous XD could've made. That thought rang in my head...what mistake was made?...They wouldn't be here unless someone brought them evidence proving he is in fact a real person but who would do that no one has ever caught evidence of him in action. At least people have seen these Mafia groups in action on the streets, no recorded evidence besides a couple of photos but everyone knows there is no rumor without some truth to it. Nothing to worry about for now... I grabbed my coffee and moved to the couch, wrapping myself up in blanket. There wasn't much more to the news this morning, which was unusual. Normally there would be article after article about different topics with either a new story or an update. It was currently 5 and I didn't have any classes until 10. I watched YouTube, trying to distract myself and pass the time...it didn't really work out so I decided to go to the library.

The quiet apartment seemed to echo as I moved back towards my room, I grabbed clothes that seemed to be clean and walked back into the hallway, the door next to mine held our shared bathroom, as much as I felt the shower was screaming with noise as I turned it on I knew it was just a illusion being played by the silent apartment. This still didn't stop me from taking a very quick shower. I had put on a green crewneck and black ripped jeans. All to familiar with the routine, I made my way out of the dorm. I left a note for Karl on the fridge telling him where I was going, just to alert him I wasn't kidnapped.

The air outside was brisk, the due laid heavy on the ground and seemed to build up as I walked to the library, There was a sharp cool breeze that flowed past me. I almost regretted the ripped jeans but realizing it was still only 6, I figured it would eventually heat up. I arrived at the library and saw the library almost completely empty, although I didn't expect it to be the liveliest joint as of now, I felt that there should've been at least someone else here. I quickly walked towards the war history section which was towards the back of the library. I did make a quick stop at the fantasy non-fiction, I was interested in this one book for the past week but never had the chance to grab it. I skimmed the spines of the books, finally noticing the book, 'Prince of Thornes' I smiled to myself as I pulled the book off the shelf. I finally settled down at my own table, I heard the library doors open but thought very little of it.

I felt myself being engrossed in the book, I could feel myself imagining what was taking place, felt as if I was apart of the story. Slowly I began to ignore my surroundings. I didn't notice someone walking up on me, I couldn't hear them calling out my name, trying to grab my attention. "Clay!" I heard my real name, my blood ran cold, only a few people have ever known my real name. I silently went through the list of people who had known my name and silently prayed for someone I was on good term with. I peeled my eyes away from the book, as I looked up I noticed the familiar disheveled suit, as I kept moving up I made eye contact with Schlatt.

"Schlatt? What do you need?" I heard him sigh and he sat down next to me, the stench of his late night partying had filled my senses. I felt a grim expression bolt onto my face and leaned back, putting some distance between me and the smell. He placed a pile of papers onto the table in front of me. I could see a sticky note on top of the papers but his arm was blocking the writing.

"Jeez kid, you could have gotten hurt if I was a stranger. I have some papers for one of my students and he's in your next class so I was wondering if you could give it to them since I don't see them until Monday." I grabbed the papers seeing a tiny sticky note on top labeled 'Fundy' I looked back at him and nodded, he seemed to relax into his seat. This college tended to act quite a bit like high school, many of the professors were more like a mix of high school teachers and college professors. The weirdest thing about this college was the requirement of study groups among students from the same majors. The first year of college is usually when groups are decided but since we had all those new kids there had to be a new group made. Which is what Karl had volunteered for almost a week ago. I hadn't learned much more about the new kids since the first day, none of them were very open about their lives or anything for that fact.

"Great, I'll let you get back to reading like a loser" He slowly made his way back up, his suit was even more crinkled then when he came here. He gave me a pat on the shoulder as he made his way past me, a final bid goodbye. I watched as he disappeared from the library. I rolled my eyes once he was out of sight, he always was the weirdest professor I had.

Seeing Schlatt reminded me I still had a class to go to, since I was out of my trance I decided to look at the time for the first time since I arrived here. 9... I chuckled at this, I'm still on track, it seems this is a much better way to spend my time... I put my phone down, I picked the book back up, there was only a couple chapters remaining. In a race to finish the book before I had to leave, I slowly zoned out again too focused on the plot of the story. I wasn't focusing on my surroundings again. I didn't even realized a shadow was creeping up onto me. I only realized when it had crept up close enough to me and touched my shoulder. I followed my instincts in a split second, I slapped away the hand, standing up as fast as I could. The book fell off the table and I paid no attention to it. I grabbed the arm twisting it behind their back. Using my other hand I grabbed the persons neck and pushed their face into the table. I finally fell out of the pure instinct mode and took note of the persons appearance, a black jacket and orange hair. I felt all sense flood back to me. I realized who I was holding down on the table in one big rush, I felt my mask slip as I squeaked and quickly released the person. "I'm so sorry! I really didn't mean to do that-well I did-but not like-I didn't want to do that. It was like a reflex. I'm so sorry! Are you hurt?" I felt myself ramble out an explanation and apology, only to receive a laugh from said person.

Karl's POV

I woke up and stretched, looking at the clock it was 9. I moved towards Dreams room and knocked, there was no answer so I peaked my head through the door, I saw an empty, unkept bed. Moving towards the kitchen I see something on the fridge.

Hey Karl,

I will be at the Library, if you want you can come meet me here and we will grab some brunch.

:) Dream

I rolled my eyes and pulled out my phone, clicking on my messages app. Scrolling through my contacts I found the one I was looking for.

Karl: If you want to make your move make it, he's at the library.

Read.

I rolled my eyes and went back to my room, smiling at myself like an idiot 'Dream, you better thank me'
