Manik's POV

"Have a difficult time Manik Malhotra!" She coughed out and I was confused.

What does that mean?

But I didn't had time to think as she got up and staggered a bit causing me to immediately run by her side.

"Oh hello Monster! Leave me!" She struggled in my arms trying to get free.

"Rose listen you're drunk so let's go to bed!" I said as she was clearly not in senses and courtesy? Manik Malhotra!

Oh now I know! I'm going to have a difficult time handling her! God give me strength.

While I was busy talking with God I didn't realise when she escaped from my hold and ran away.

"Rose!" I yelled and ran behind her.

"You can't catch me Manik!" She said giggling and still running.

"Nandini wait!" I warned and she stopped frowning.

She walked towards me and glared at me. I looked at her confused at the sudden change in behaviour.

"Manik Malhotra!" She poked my chest.

"I know you are dumb but you don't have to prove it everytime!" She said furiously and I glared at her.

"Stop looking at me like that! You know I hate it when you call me Nandini! Still you love to irritate me!" She pushed me a little and I was startled.

"Okay fine! I won't call you that! Now come with me!" I said and held her hand but she jerked it away.

"No! I don't want to sleep! It's very boring!" She pouted and I so wanted to kiss her.

"Manik!" She stumbled as she took a step but steadied herself before falling.

"You know I -!" She started biting her nails and I stood there listening her.

"Say no what! Ask me!" She whined.

"What?" I asked not wanting to piss her off anymore.

"I-I forgot!" She said sheepishly.

"Huh!?" I shaked my head in disbelief.

"Now let's gooo!" She said trying to walk but stopped and held her head.

"Wait! Why ish everything moving? Stop! Ayee I said stop!" She frowned and I chuckled.

"Okay enough now!" I said sternly but she looked at me with teary eyes.

"I hate you!" She said and even if she said this in her drunk state still it affected me.

I hate it when she says she hates me! It hurts, I don't know why but it does! I jerked her towards me holding her waist and she was caught off guard as she stared at me with those innocent doe shaped eyes.

"You are not allowed to hate me!" I whispered huskily tightening my hold.

"Manik!" She called me and for a second I got lost in her eyes.

"Leave me!" She struggled and frowned but I didn't let her go.

"No! Not this time!" I just wanted to keep staring at her beautiful face all my life.

"Leave me noo!" She chided and I let her go reluctantly.

"Are you feeling the same what I am?" She asked suddenly walking towards the stairs.

"Feeling? What feeling?"

"Areyy it's soo hott!" I didn't quite understand what happened but the next thing I know is she was going to remove her top.

"Listen! Stop! Stop! Stop!" I ran to her stopping her while she tried to keep her eyes open.

"What are you doing? You are not in your senses Rose! Get a grip over yourself!" I said angrily.

"Now no more arguments! Come with me!" I held her hand tightly and started walking.

"But -!"

"No ifs and buts! In the room now! I'll switch on the AC!" I sighed.

"Wow Manik! From where did you get such a smart idea? I mean! You don't look that smart! Areyy you look like an idiot!" She poked my cheek and I glared at her but she cared less.

"Good boy! Very good boy! Hm! Good boy!" She ruffled my hair and I gritted my teeth.

I so was going to shout at her but her next words brought a smile on my face unknowingly.

"AC thanda thanda! Cool cool!" She sang and I wondered if she could be more cute than this.

After that I brought her in the room and she kept tripping over anything and everything that came her way.

"Now straight to the bed!" I ordered but she nodded a no.

"Nandini!" I called her in my Mafia's dangerous voice but instead she moved away from me.

"Monster!" She stumbled but then caught the nearby table.

I rolled my eyes and cursed myself for even giving her that drink. I should have known she won't be able to handle it. I mean why? What was I thinking?

"Manik!" She called and when I looked at her my eyes were ready to get out of its sockets.

"Nandini no!" I panicked but she giggled.

Great! She is finding this funny!

"Nandini listen! Put that gun down! It's not a toy!" I tried to get near her keeping her occupied with my talks.

"Noo! Stay there Mr. Monster Manik Malhotra! Don't even try coming near me or else I'll shoot!" She narrowed her eyes and I gulped as I saw her forefinger on the trigger.

"Nandini please listen to me! I promise I won't tease you or even irritate you from today but please keep that down!" I pleaded and she smirked.

What is going on in that small head!?

"Goodbye Manik Malhotra! You called me 'Nandini' ...one ..two ..three ...yes! Three times so now I won't leave you!" She said evilly.

My eyes widened when she pressed the trigger slightly.

"Okay okay! Wait! Wait! Wait! I'm sorry! Rose! I'll call you Rose and not 'Nandini' I promise!" I pursed my lips helplessly.

"Noo!" She nodded her head.

"I'll give you a punishment!" She said and I clenched my jaw and fists.

"Punishment?" I gritted and she nodded a yes.

"Yesh! You remember you gave me a punishment once when I didn't obey you! So now it's my turn!" She said and I remembered when I had asked her to strip infront of me.

I know that was very cruel of me but I didn't care about anyone back then.

"What do you want me to do?" I sighed.

"Sit ups!" She said arrogantly and I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Are you serious?" I asked in a no nonsense tone.

"Yes! Now come on! Do sit ups and that too 50! Start!" She clapped her hands and I faked a smile.

"Hold your ears!" She ordered and I glared at her which she royally ignored.

"One!"

"Two!"

"Three!"

"Fifty!" She clapped her hands and my head snapped at her.

I stared at her astonished while she stopped clapping.

"I'm not cruel like you!" She pouted and for the first time I felt guilty for doing all tortures to her.

"Rose I -!" She again aimed the gun at me.

"Now let me shoot! I want to learn!" She said and before I could stop her she pressed the trigger causing me to shout.

"Nooo!" I pressed my eyes shut waiting for the bullet to pierce through my skin.

But when nothing happened after 2-3 minutes I opened my eyes and saw Nandini standing with the gun in her hand.

"Aww Manik Malhotra got scared?" She pouted and I checked myself to see whether blood is oozing out from somewhere or the other.

"Manik!"

"Huh?!"

"The gun is empty! There are no bullets!" She showed me the gun and started laughing.

"Manik Malhotra is a fool!" She laughed and I got angry.

I marched towards her and gripped her by her arms tightly.

"This is not a game Rose! So don't try to play with me!" I gritted and she frowned.

"So only you can play games with me!" She jerked her hand and in that process the gun hit my forehead.

"Aah!" I covered my forehead and she panicked.

"Manik!" She said worriedly throwing the gun away.

"Come here!" She made me sit on the bed and checked my forehead.

"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to ...!" She pursed her lips and then blew air where I was hurt.

"Is it hurting?" She asked worry clear in her eyes.

But then without waiting for my answer she leaned forward and kissed my forehead making me close my eyes in pure ecstasy.

"I'm sorry!" She was trying her best not to cry but then a tear slipped from her eye making me sigh.

I pulled her and made her sit on my lap and to my surprise she snuggled in me keeping her head on my chest and playing with my shirt buttons.

"Rose it's okay! It doesn't hurt much!" I assured and she looked up.

"I'm very bad right? I keep on hurting everyone! First Mom Dad and now you!" She sniffled hiding her face in my chest.

"You're not bad Rose! You can never hurt anyone! And I'm sure your Mom Dad are proud of you and are blessing you wherever they are!" I didn't know how I could comfort her but I guess she brings out the best and worst in me.

"Promise!" She asked cutely as she looked up and I couldn't help but peck her lips making her blush.

"Promise!" I smiled and she returned it.

"You know Manik when you had kidnapped me and brought me here I hated you the most!" She was opening up and I stayed silent.

"I hated you for being such a monster! You always behaved that you don't have a heart but then somewhere I knew you are just pretending to be a monster!" She continued and my heart thudded in my chest.

"I don't know the reason behind your this facade! I know it's related to your past!" She spoke and my grip tightened when she mentioned about my past.

"But I promise I won't ask until you yourself share it with me! And I also promise I'll bring you out of this darkness! I'll shine for you Manik!" I know she was drunk and so she was saying all this but I wonder will she remember all this tomorrow?

"You know why?" She asked and I looked at her.

"Why?" I whispered staring at her intently.

"Because I think I like you!" She blinked her eyes and kissed on my heart making it skip a beat.

How could she be so pure? So innocent?! I never had imagined my life to be like this! So peaceful it is with her!

We stayed in the same position enjoying each others warmth until I found her grip loosen on me. I looked down and saw her sleeping soundly which made me smile.

Picking her up in my arms I carefully laid her on the bed and switched off the lights before laying down beside her. She immediately snuggled in my chest making my heart swell with happiness. I too encircled my arms around her waist and closed my eyes drifting to sleep as tomorrow is also going to be one heck of a day!

Next morning I woke up first as I knew the hangover she is going to experience will be the worst! I immediately freshened up and got down to get lime juice for her.

But the problem is -

How do you make a lime juice?!

As I've never entered in the kitchen I don't even know what all things we put there. All I've done is ordered what I want! Sighing I entered the kitchen and looked around weirdly.

Where is the fucking lime now?

And how the hell does it look?

I was just looking around when someone tapped on my shoulder and I turned around to see Navya staring at me with her raised eyebrows.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"Uh! This is my house! I will be wherever I want to!" I replied arrogantly and she narrowed her eyes.

"Fine!" She said angrily and was going to walk away when I stopped her.

"Okay! Okay! Wait! Can you - Can you make lime juice for me?" I asked hesistantly as I didn't want her to be more angry.

Pregnancy hormones scare me!

"You started drinking again? Manik we had warned you not to drink alcohol but still you don't listen! When will you listen to us!?" And she went on and on scolding me where i was getting irritated.

"Navyaa!" I said loudly and she stopped.

But slowly her eyes started to water and my eyes widenend.

"Oh no no no no! Don't cry! Please! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to shout!" But it was already late as she was wailing loudly.

"Navya I'm sorry please!" I pleaded and she sniffled wiping her tears.

It wasn't like I said sorry to her for the first time. Cabir and Navya were very close to me as they are my only family and now Nandini too is a part of it.

"It's okay! Now get aside!" She pushed me and entered the kitchen.

I breathed in relief and then turned around seeing her holding a small yellow ball in her hand. I scrunched my face and went to her.

"Navya what is this?" I asked confused.

She looked at me and then at the tiny ball before laughing loudly.

"Manik Malhotra doesn't know what a lime looks like!" She said giggling and I glared at her.

"Wh-What nonsense! I-I know this is a lime! I was just checking your knowledge!" I looked away as she chuckled shaking her head.

"Here!" She handed me the glass and I smiled at her before she walked away.

I was going to walk towards my room when I heard a shout.

"Manik!"

Oh shit! I am in big trouble!

Okay so i personally think this is the most crappiest chapter i have written!
