Nandini's POV

Manik and Bhai walked in with furious faces and it scared me.

How did they know?

"Cabir bring them in the room right now!" Saying so he walked away without even looking at us.

I turned to Cabir bhai but his face gave away no expressions and it was making me feel nauseous.

I hated this feeling!

Soon we were in the room which Manik wanted us to be in. He was already present there with a cigarette in his hand. I cringed at the sight as I hated smoking. I then looked at Navya and she was also having problem with the smoke and also it wasn't good for her and the baby's health.

So I built up some courage and spoke.

"Can you please stop smoking! Its not good for Navya's and baby's health!" I asked him politely.

After I spoke there was pin drop silence in the room as Manik dropped the cigarette and crushed it with his foot. I didn't care anymore about the silent treatment. Navya was suffering and I can't let that happen.

He then turned towards us with a cold look and stared at Navya.

"What were you two doing out of the mansion?" He asked Navya and for the first time I saw Navya little scared.

"We went for a walk!" I spoke instead of her.

"Navya you know its dangerous to go out like this! Even if there are guards around you, you know that our enemies out there are ready to attack any of us at any chance! Then why? I thought you were mature and sensible enough as you have stayed with us from a long time!" Manik said coldly.

I looked at Navya who was looking down and her eyes were started to turn misty. I couldn't see her like this so I decided to cover up for her.

"It isn't her fault! I forced her to come out with me!" I said and Navya looked at me shocked but I ignored her.

"Cabir out with Navya now!" Manik said looking in my eyes.

"But -" Navya tried to say something but Cabir dragged her out.

Now it was only me and Manik in the room and suddenly I found the tiles on the floor more interesting.

Wow! They are white in colour and so sparkling clean! Why didn't I notice it before?

"Nandini!" He called in a serious tone and I fidgeted nervously.

"Now tell me why did you both go out?" He asked in a calm tone that surprised me as I expected him to shout.

But I knew this was before the disaster that was about to happen.

"I wanted to go o-out so I forced Navya -!" He cut me off in between.

"The truth!"

"Huh?"

"I want the truth!" His intense gaze on me was making me nervous.

"I-I'm saying the t-truth!" I stuttered badly.

"Don't test my patience Nandini!" He said as he squeezed his eyes shut and clenched his fists.

I gulped looking at him and clutched the side of my dress. Taking a deep breath I decided to tell him the truth.

"Okay! Navya wanted to go out for a walk as she was getting bored so we went for a walk to the nearby park. There were guards with us but then at the park -!" I stopped as I remembered about the attack.

"At the park what?" He said loudly and I know he was losing his patience.

"At the park I felt like someone was watching us so I told Navya but she said I was just overthinking. Then suddenly Alex -"

"Again Alex! That fucking -" He started yelling without listening to me so I cut him off with a glare.

"Alex is the puppy you gifted me!" I glared at him and he stared at me dumbfounded.

"Then?" He changed the topic to hide his embarassment.

"Alex started barking looking somewhere and so the guards went alert. Two of them went to check if anyone was there and the only one followed us as we started leaving. But then out of nowhere a guy came and attacked us. He shot the guard on the shoulder and he died!" I said remembering the horrible incident.

"He is not dead! He was unconscious!" Manik said in a rigid tone.

"What?" I asked confused.

"The bullet he was shot was drugged and so he layed unconscious!" He explained and I got lost in my thoughts.

"Continue!"

"That guy then started dragging me but Alex jumped on him and bit him on his leg due to which he kicked Alex far away!" I stopped as tears formed in my eyes.

"Then Navya tried helping me but the guy was way too strong! He won't let go of my hand!" I could see Manik gritting his jaw so hard.

He was trying to control himself and that was clearly visible.

"That fucker!" He cursed under his breath but I still heard it.

"And then I did the only thing that any girl would do! I kicked him! He fell down and in my anger in kicked him few more times till he was unconscious! After that we hurriedly left for home!" I completed and looked at Manik who was staring at me with a weird emotion.

Suddenly something clicked in my mind and I asked him.

"How did you know that something was wrong?"

"That guard who was shot and you thought he was dead, he called me and informed about it! He informed us about you being attacked so we left as soon as possible!" He said and I nodded.

He came towards me and held my hand due to which I hissed and he immediately withdrew his hand. He then took a look at my injuries and shut his eyes in annoyance.

"I'm fine!" I said awkwardly.

"I can see that!" He gritted.

"Listen Nandini! From tomorrow you are not going anywhere! And I mean it! I can't afford to let something happen to you! So you will stay at home!" He ordered and I made a bad face.

"But my college -"

"I'll arrange the notes for you! I know only few days are left for your exam so study at home! You will also give the exams from home!" He said strictly and I stared at him shocked.

"What?" I said loudly.

In return he glared at me but still i opened my mouth.

"How can I give the exam from home?" I asked annoyed.

"I can arrange that! And don't argue with me on that!" He gritted and I nodded meekly.

"Anything else?" He asked and I nodded a no.

"You can go!" He said coldly.

Monster!

"Oh no!" I stopped as I remembered telling him about the hospital incidence.

"What?" He asked confused.

"I forgot to tell you something!" I said nervously.

"And what is that?" He raised his eyebrow as he waited for me to speak.

"Uh! I - When I was in hospital Ar-Aryaman had come to my room!" I said and dared to look up.

He was fuming! In a flash he pinned me to the wall and yelled.

"Why the fuck didn't you tell me!" He was beyond furious.

"I-I was not talking to you and -!"

"Fuck the talking! Tell me what he did to you? Did he harm you? Speak up dammit!" He yelled as he banged his hands on the wall.

I placed my hands on his arms to calm him down but he jerked them off.

"Speak!" He said loudly and I flinched.

"He-He said that he will take me away from you!" I said and he was ready to burst.

"Please calm down! I -!"

"You.are.mine! Do you understand? You are mine!" He cut me off as he yelled.

"I know! I know!" I spoke calmly.

"I'll show that motherf*cker who is he messing up with! I won't spare him I swear!" He kept on cursing in anger and all I did was try to calm him down.

But he didn't listen so atlast I yelled.

"Manik!" He stopped.

He then turned to look at me and stared at me intently.

"Will you please calm down?" I asked but he just continued staring at me which made me squirm.

"What did you just say?" He asked.

"Will you please calm down?" I repeated confused.

"Before that!"

"Before that? I -!" I stopped as it striked me I called him by his name.

This was the first time I called him by his name. I looked away from him biting my lips.

"Uh you-you should start controlling your anger! It can sometimes land you in big trouble!" I said changing the topic.

He sighed.

"Will you help me?" He asked and I looked at him surprised.

"Will you help me in controlling my anger?" He repeated looking at me hopefully.

"I will! But how?" I asked.

"That's for you to find out!" He shrugged.

"Okay!" I sighed.

"I should go!" I said and tried to move but he stopped me blocking my way.

"No! First say my name!" He demanded.

"First let me go and then i'll say!" I said and he thought for a while before letting me go.

"Monster!" I shouted as I showed him my tongue and ran away.

"Nandini!" He yelled and I laughed.

As soon as I ran out I bumped into Navya.

"Oh shit! I'm Sorry! Sorry Navya! Are you alright?" I asked.

"Cabir see I told you to not leave them alone! See what he did to Nandini! She is laughing! Don't worry Nandini! I'm with you! You don't need to pretend infront of me!" She said emotionally.

I looked at Bhai confused and he just mouthed 'hormones' to which I chuckled.

"Let's go!" She said and I nodded.

"Where is Alex?" I asked.

"In our room!" Bhai informed.

"Nandini everything is okay right?" He asked concerned.

"Yes Bhai!" I smiled and assured him and he too smiled in return.

As we were leaving Manik called me from behind but I ignored him.

"Nandini!" I kept walking and Navya looked confused.

"Nandini wait!" He called a little loudly but I still ignored him and Navya said.

"Nandini are you not talking to him again?" She asked and I nodded a no.

"I am talking!" I said.

"Then why aren't you listening to him?" She asked confused.

"Rose!" He yelled and I stopped and looked at Navya grinning while she chuckled.
