Nandini's POV

Why does this person always keep yelling all the time? Does he think we are deaf?

"Nandini!" He called loudly as he stood exact 20 steps away from me.

And then he covered those 20 steps in his monster speed but before he could reach me Cabir bhai stood in between us glaring at him. He was no less as he glared back at bhai.

"Cabir move!" He gritted with his eyes fixed on me but I chose to play with Alex.

"You don't get to go near her!" Bhai warned.

"Fine! Let me talk to her atleast!"

"You can talk from here!" Bhai said and Manik uttered some curses under his breath before looking at my way.

"Who is this fucking Alex Nandini?" He asked with his jaw clenched.

Suddenly Alex barked at him and he glared at him too. An evil thought came in my mind as I put Alex down so that he could go and scare him.

As soon as Alex got down he barked and ran towards him but instead of getting scared he picked Alex in his arms.

And Alex?

He made himself comfortable in his arms!

Traitor!

I glared at Alex as he paid no attention.

"Cabir!" My trance was broken when Navya called bhai.

"Nandini come with me!" Bhai said as he was going to Navya's room.

I stared at bhai then at Alex! No how could I leave him with the monster.

I was going to deny when Navya called again so I gestured bhai to go. He asked me with his eyes whether I was sure and I blinked my eyes. Giving last glare and warning to Manik he went off.

It was then I noticed Manik standing with a smirk on his face. I scowled and went forward to take Alex from him. But instead he moved away and gave me a stern face.

"Nandini who is alex!" His voice demanding.

Is it weird that I've kinda started hating him when he calls me Nandini?

When I didn't answer Alex did by barking telling him that its him. But how can the monster understand that? He scowled at my poor Alex which made him hide in his arms.

Aww my poor Alex!

That's enough!

I marched towards him and snatched Alex from him. It was sudden for him so he didn't understand what happened but when he came into his senses he yelled.

"Nandini!"

I made a pissed off face and walked in my room with the monster following me. Taking out a paper and a pen I wrote something in anger and handed over to him.

He looked confused but took the paper and read it aloud.

"Alex is my love!"

And if looks could kill i would have been dead atleast for 5 times now! I gulped as he kicked the door shut and took a step towards me.

A step back - A step ahead!

This continued till the stupid wall decided to come in the picture. Alex was still in my arms while I was now trapped.

"Your love huh!" He gritted and I nodded a yes stupidly but quickly nodded a no seeing his murderous gaze.

He leaned down but before he could come more close I held Alex between our faces. Peeking a little I saw his face which showed utter frustration. He was trying to control himself to not burst out on me.

Suddenly Alex was not between us anymore! What the hell? That monster snatched him and put him down.

Again Alex?

He started playing around!

Again a traitor! This is the second time he betrayed me!

"Rose!" I looked at Manik whose face was now an inch away from mine.

Oh wait! Did he call me Rose?

I don't know why but my eyes softened as he called me that and he noticed it too as he smirked.

"You like it when I call you Rose, don't you?" His smirk was irritating me.

I snorted and turned my face away. But he held my chin and forced me to look at him. Once again his face turned stoic and rigid.

"I'm asking you the last time! Who is Alex?" He was serious and that scared me.

He waited but I didn't answer. Finally his patience waived off and he got away with a jerk.

"Fine! You don't want to tell me! Then go and fucking stay with Alex!" He said loudly and I nodded innocently.

This made him more angry as he punched the wall and marched out as always banging the door behind him.

I frowned at his behaviour! Why is he getting so angry?

Did he see me going out in these days that he thinks I'll talk about a guy?

Monster!

I chucked all the thoughts and moved down after making sure Alex is asleep.

It was 11pm in the night when I moved down in the living room. Bhai and Navya were asleep and I wasn't sleepy. I checked on Manik but he wasn't in the house. I cheked everywhere but he was nowhere to be seen.

Where did he go?

I waited for him in the living room but there was no sign of him. At exact 12:30 the door opened and in walked a drunken Manik.

I was going to help him but he wasn't alone. A girl was with him holding him from stumbling down. She was clinging to him like a bee.

Manik saw me in the living room and he turned angry. He pulled that girl close to him by her waist and she smirked at me as she put her hand on his chest.

I thought he was changing but no, he will never change!

A tear slipped from my eye as I ran from there in my room.

I didn't know why I was crying! Was it because I saw him with someone else or he was trying to show me that I meant nothing to him?

Wiping my tears I laid down on my bed and shoved my face in the pillow. I muffled my screams of frustration in the pillow.

Just then the door opened and I quickly closed my eyes pretending to sleep.

I knew it was him as he sat beside me, I could smell the alcohol.

"Rose!" His voice was husky which sent shivers down my spine.

"I know I'm bad! I'm bad for always making you suffer! These tears - I have done nothing but made you cry!" He stopped and I clutched the bedsheet in my hand.

I know he was saying all this because he was drunk. He won't even remember any of it tomorrow morning.

"You know when the first time I saw you I thought you were my just obsession! I thought I'm just obsessed by your outer beauty and your body and once I'll get what I want it will be over! But - But you know with each passing day with you I feel different! These feelings are something else! Its like they are telling me you're not just my obsession and something more! I don't understand what is happening!" He sounded frustrated.

I was on the same boat! I sighed inwardly.

"Each time you say you hate me something inside me dies! I don't want you to hate me Rose! I don't know why but not you! I don't care if everybody else in this world hates me but you - I can't stand your hate!" He voice held pain that made my heart sad.

"That day when you asked about my past I completely lost it! I have a very bad past Nandini and I'm scared once you'll know about it you'll leave me and hate me more! I can't and don't want that to happen! And about today when I heard about Alex - your love I was so angry! How can you love someone else? I wanted to make you jealous so I brought that girl home and see I made you cry once again." I could imagine his pout and I so badly wanted to chuckle.

God he is jealous of his own gift? A puppy? Seriously?

So that girl he brought was only to make me jealous!

And surprisingly I was jealous with a mixture of hurt!

"Please don't leave me!"

"Please don't -" His voice faded as he lost consciousness and before he could hit the ground I quickly held him.

I managed to drag him on my bed and laid him down. Adjusting the blanket on him I kissed his forehead and was going to leave when he held my hand.

I thought he was awake but when I turned he had his eyes closed.

"Don't leave me Rose!" He mumbled.

I sighed at his state and made myself comfortable beside him. He wrapped his arms around me as soon as I slept beside him and I smiled snuggling into him.

"Good night monster!" I whispered and kissed his heart.

The monster is not that bad!

Next morning I was the first one to wake up and I was thankful for that! I quickly got up and moved out of the bed only to see Alex already up and waiting for me.

Aww my Alex!

I picked him up and played with him for some minutes before going for a bath. After having bath when I came out Manik was still sleeping.

I decided to make lime juice for him as he was going to have headache when he wakes up. I kept the glass on the table beside and moved out with Alex to Navya's room.

"Navyaa!" I chirped.

"Someone is happy!" She teased.

"Yess!"

"Why so?" She asked without looking at me.

"Because of him!" I said referring to Alex.

Finally she looked up and noticed Alex in my hands.

"Who is he?" Confusion was written over her face.

"Alex! My baby love!" I said happily.

"So this is Alex!" A voice said from behind and I turned to see Bhai in the room.

"Yess!" He nodded his head and went to Navya.

"You know?" Navya asked him.

"Long story!" Bhai sighed.

"By the way where did he come from?" Bhai asked curiously.

I pressed my lips as I looked away from their scrutinizing gazes.

"Monster gifted me!" I blurted quickly and closed my eyes waiting for their reactions.

"What?" As expected it came from them.

I smiled sheepishly looking at their shocked faces.
