Nandini's POV

"Manik let me sleep!" I cribbed turning to the other side. But still he had to annoy me. Apparently we went to sleep late last night and -- Wait! If you're thinking because of doing it we slept late than let me tell you you're pathetically wrong!

Yesterday was a tiring day because we were supposedly married! Oh yes! I was now Mrs. Nandini Manik Malhotra! And although i was ready for it, my now sweet husband suggested that we should sleep as we both were very tired.

"Manik!" I whined swatting his hand away. But he still continued to run his fingers up and down my arm irritating me. Having enough I opened my eyes and turned to him angrily but before I could say anything he rolled on top of me.

"Good morning Mrs. Malhotra!" He grinned and pecked my lips making all my anger vanish.

"Good morning Mr. Malhotra!" I replied smiling and his grin widened.

"Slept well?" He asked and I nodded. Instead of getting up he dropped on me hiding his face in my neck making me sigh. I started caressing his hair as we stayed in the same position.

"Manik!"

"Hm!"

"We have to visit Mom!" I said looking at the ceiling. I could feel his smile on my neck and he pecked me there.

"You remember!" He whispered and my lips curved into a smile.

"Ofcourse I do! It's your only wish I know! You wanted us to visit her on the first day of our marriage!" I said and he brought his face up resting his head on mine.

"I know!" He sighed with closed eyes and I stared at his face. I caressed his jaw which caused him to open his eyes. The dark brown eyes now stared at me with such intensity that it made me shiver.

"Manik!" I whispered with my trembling lips as his gaze zeroed on them and his eyes darkened. He leaned down and captured my mouth making me clutch his hair tightly. This kiss felt different! It was our first kiss as Mr. and Mrs. Malhotra.

"Nan-nini!" A voice forced us to break apart. Manik groaned hiding his face in my neck and I giggled.

"She is already the villain of my romance!" He said grumpily and I pushed him off to open the door. I opened the door and Nandini jumped in my arms happily.

"Nan-nini! Good Molning!" She wished me and I pecked her cheeks.

"Good Morning princess!" I replied and she went towards Manik.

"Good Molning Monshtel!" She wished and I pursed my lips as he glared at me for teaching her in calling him Monster.

"Baby it's better if you call me Manik uncle!" He said and she frowned.

"No! It's Monshtel!" She said stubbornly and I giggled. Manik glared at me and I once again pursed my lips.

"Nan-nini let'sh go!" She said holding my hand and Manik sprang up.

"What? Where?" He asked impatiently.

"She ish doing (going) to tlay (play) with me!" She announced and Manik frowned. He immediately held my other hand pulling me towards him.

"No! Today she is going to stay with me!" He said being equally stubborn. Nandini pouted angrily trying to pull me with her teeny weeny hands but when she couldn't her frown deepened and Manik smirked.

"Monshtel leave my Nan-nini!" She said angrily but he didn't budge.

"No! She is my Nan-nini! Uh. I mean Nandini!" He corrected and wrapped his arms around me tightly not letting me go. Nandini stood there with her hands on her hips and glaring at Manik but he cared less. Suddenly her face fell and tears brimmed in her eyes. I immediately pushed Manik away and knelt down before her.

"Princess don't cry! See I'll come with you!" I said trying to stop her tears.

"Emotional blackmail!" I heard Manik grumble under his breath but I ignored him.

"See Manik uncle also agreed! Right Manik?" I asked him and he faked a smile.

"All yours!" Saying so he stomped his foot and left from there. I shook my head failing to realise who actually was the kid here. The rest of the day I was with Nandini as promised and Manik would just pass me frowning looks whenever he saw me.

At night when she fell asleep I went towards our room to see Manik lying on the bed with his eyes closed. I quietly moved inside and laid down beside him keeping my head on his heart and instantly his arms wrapped around my figure.

"So finally you got time for your husband!" He said and I sighed.

"Manik I'm sorry! But she's a kid Manik! I couldn't just deny her!" I said and he pulled me on top of him. Tucking my strand of hair behind my ear he stared in my eyes.

"I know! But I feel so jealous of her sometimes! You seem to give her the entire attention when only I should be the one you must concentrate on!" He said huskily and I blushed.

"Okay now quit romancing! We should leave now! It's already 10pm!" I said and he sighed nodding his head.

We spent the night at Mom's gravestone talking to her and laying there peacefully. It was one of the most beautiful nights which would remain captured in our hearts forever.

The next day Manik took me out where we could spend some time together without any disturbance. It made me chuckle when he said that the little mini version of mine would never let that happen if we stayed home.

And the place where we arrived was his farmhouse! He fucking owned a farmhouse too!

"Manik!" I called him and he just hummed nuzzling in my hair.

"You never mentioned you owned a farmhouse!" I said looking at the peaceful scene infront of me.

Currently we were sitting in the balcony with me sitting on his lap and him nuzzling in my hair from behind. His arms were around my stomach in a possessive grip as I enjoyed the beautiful view.

"I didn't?" He questioned and I nodded.

"Well things weren't real smooth with us Rose! Everytime something or the other came up that we could never spend a peaceful time together!" He said and I knew he was specifically talking about my sudden kidnapping.

I turned my face to him and pecked his lips taking him by surprise.

"What was that for?" He asked and I smiled.

"For being the most cute husband!" I said and he frowned. I chuckled instantly looking at his face.

"I'm anything but cute! Call me hot, sexy anything but cute?" He made a face and I rolled my eyes.

"You are cute for me! And I'll call you that! Cute! Cute! cute!" I teased and he glared at me.

"Rose!" He warned but I kept on going irritating him.

"Manik Malhotra is cu -!" My words were left incomplete when I felt a pair of lips on mine shutting me up.

His hands caressed my thighs and I shivered. I cursed myself for wearing shorts but I wasn't complaining. His kisses had become my addiction.

He trailed kisses on my neck making me squirm. He suddenly scooped me in his arms and carried me inside towards our bedroom. Dropping me on the bed he hovered over me.

"Time for us to get tired!" He winked at me and what followed was him making me feel the most beautiful woman in the whole world.

"Do you want a baby?" I asked suddenly after our intense love making.

"What?" He asked shocked.

"Manik I'm just asking!" I said and he sighed.

"Ofcourse i want Rose! But I'm just not ready to share you with anyone yet! I want all your attention! Its just that I want us to connect deeper, understand each other, be prepared for what life ever throws at us! I can't lose you again Rose! Not after seeing you on the deathbed and fearing everyday whether you will come back or not! Those two years were the most painful for me Rose!" He confessed and I snuggled more into him caressing the place where his heart was.

"It's all over Manik! The bad days are gone!" I whispered softly and heard him sigh as he tightened his hold on me.

"I know!" He said and pecked my head.

"Rose!" He said after two minutes and I hummed.

"I want to sing these two lines for you!" He said and I looked up instantly. I nodded telling him to go ahead.

My eyes teared up hearing him sing after almost all these years. I know it was difficult for him to even go through those memories but he was strong, so strong.

"That was beautiful Manik!" I tried not to cry but the tears betrayed me.

"Hey!" He instantly cupped my face wiping the tears away.

"I didn't sing to make you cry!" He said and I chuckled.

"You finally did it!" I said sniffling and he smiled.

"We did it!" He corrected making me smile as well.

"You make me strong Rose!" He said hugging me tight and resting his chin on my head. After that we slipped into slumber as we were tired.

The next when I got up he was gone and I got up rubbing my eyes. Wearing his shirt I moved down and saw him in the kitchen. As I moved closer I saw his frowning face which was now directed to a jar of salt. I tiptoed in the kitchen and slipped my hands on his chest from behind resting my cheek on his back.

"What are you doing?" I asked and he sighed placing his hands on mine.

"Trying to make something!" He said grumpily.

"But I don't know if this is sugar or salt!" He cribbed showing me the jar.

"Manik you could've tasted it and known!" I said and he pulled me in the front.

"Oh shit! Why didn't I think this before! Thankyou!" He said excitedly and pecked my lips.

"My over excited husband! Move aside! I'll make pasta for us!" I said and he pouted.

"But I wanted to make something for you!" He complained in his baby voice and I couldn't help but pull his cheeks.

"See this is why I call you cute Mr. Husband!" I said and he glared.

"Don't start it again Rose!" He warned.

"Okay! Okay! I won't! But we can do one thing! I'll give you instructions and you cook! How about that?" I asked and he nodded rubbing his hands excitedly.

"Perfect!"

After that I sat on the kitchen counter and instructed him on how to make pasta. And I must say he was a quick learner.

"How is it?" He asked nervously as had a spoon of it. I made a weird face and his face fell.

"Manik come here!" I said and he followed walking over to me with a sad face. I kissed his cheek and he looked at me surprised.

"This is the most delicious pasta I ever had!" I said and he grinned. I offered him some and he gladly opened his mouth. His eyes widened as he tasted it.

"This is amazing!" He said and I smiled.

"Told you!"

It was almost past 11 when I suggested Manik that we should go back.

"Who said we are going back?" He smirked and I narrowed my eyes.

"What are you upto Manik?" I asked suspiciously. He jerked me closer almost sticking me to him and encircled his hands around my waist.

"We are staying here for few days! And don't argue because I've already informed Navya and Cabir and they have no problem as they'll handle our princess!" He said and I shook my head knowing he will do as he wants to!

I placed my head on his chest hugging him and he rested his chin on top of my head.

"I love you!" I confessed.

"I love you more!"
