SIXTEEN
"Are they awake yet?"
"No Zarina ma, not yet." Replied the maid blushing.
Zarina shook her head sighing.
"These youngsters! It's already afternoon now! I can understand about Rehan and Muskan, they're newly weds but Yasir and Khushi? It's been 5 years to thier marriage but they still act like newly weds. No one even had breakfast. How am I alone supposed to take care of these 4 kids?!"
Meanwhile,
Muskan woke up for the 5th time now and again found herself entangled with her husband's bare body from behind.
"Rehan....we should get up now. Zarina ma will get mad." She said softly to her slumbering husband.
He groaned in response, hugging her tighter as he nuzzled her open hair.
"I don't want to let go of you even for a moment, butterfly." His voice hoarse.
Muskan giggled turning behind and kissed his chest bringing a smile on his lips.
"We can't sleep here all day. Rehan, please check the time. You know how Zarina ma hates when we skip breakfast."
With eyes still closed, he kissed her hair rubbing her bare back.
"She's going to yell at us anyways. We might as well....sleep in all day and save ourselves."
Muskan giggled. No other place was more perfect then her husband's arms at that moment. If she could, she wanted to stay like that the whole day....no, her whole life. Last night, he made her his. He was gentle and considerate. He even freaked out went he noticed blood on her thighs while thier lovemaking. It was a bit painful... But at the same time, it was the most magical feeling for her. She couldn't see so all her other senses were heightened making her feel more. Her skin was soo sensitive at his touched that she really came undone. She had fallen in love with him even more.... even soo that she would most probably find it even hard to breathe without him.
But, she really wanted to take a ghussal and eat that time! She was reaaaally hungry.
"Rehan please..... I'm hungry."
He finally opened his eyes groggily stretching his arms. A huge smile on his face seeing his angelic wife in his arms. Her mesmerizing emerald orbs dancing with joy, her body flushed pink, her lips slightly swollen...she looked hypnotising.
"Me too..." He groaned sucking at her neck.
Muskan giggled getting ticklish and tried to push him off of her
"I meant I need food...."
Rehan sighed reluctantly getting off her.
"Butterfly, u break my heart."
Muskan finally took a breath of relief and reached for the side to get off but gasped sitting back down when she realised she was naked.
Rehan chuckled.
"What are you hiding butterfly? I've already seen everything."
Muskan turned crimson.
"It...it was different. We were in... bed."
Being in bed was different than walking bare in front of him.
"Well, about that...." Rehan scratched his neck sheepishly
"... I've even seen you like that too once before."
Muskan's jaw dropped.
"W...what....wh...wh...when.. how!?"
"Um...a few days ago. U just came out of the shower in your towel and I guess you didn't notice me. I didn't make a noise because I didn't wanted to scare you. And you took off you towel...."
She was waaaay too embarrassed and angry now. So feeling for her pillow she lifted it up while her husband was busy blabbering, reminiscing the scenario and slammed it over his head.
".... you're body was covered in water droplets. You looked soo beautiful and your b....ow...!"
"How dare you?!..... I hate you....how could you do that to me!!!"
"Ow...ow sorry butterfly....it just....ow.... happened....hey.... I'm sorry....."
She didn't listen and just kept hitting him while he was kneeling behind trying to save himself from his angry wife. She didn't seem like a cute kitten this time.
"You're still naked u know...." He said only putting fuel to the fire
"Shut up!"
A loud thump echoed throughout the room ...and out, as he fell of the bed.
∆∆∆∆
On the other hand,
Khushi roughly ruffled her husband's hair as he was still fast asleep over her chest. In response he moaned in annoyance rubbing his face between the valley of her breasts making her giggle.
"Wake up already my sleepy head."
"Let me sleep Jaan. You've completely exhausted me last night." He groaned cuddling.
"Hah! Me?! Liar. You're the one who was soo insatiable last night. Now enough whining. It's already past 12 pm. Zarina Ma will cook us both for lunch now that we've skipped her breakfast." Khushi said a bit shuddering. Thier Ma was a sweet and kind lady, but if anyone dared to waste the food made by her....she turned into a hungry lioness.
"She's going to rip our ears out." He groaned and then immediately jolted up his head.
"Jaan.... let's run away."
Khushi was laughing hard. She remembered the last time Ma had pulled Yasir's ear and dragged him across the whole living room in front of all thier men.
"You'll look cute though."
He pecked her nose scowling.
"Stop laughing. She'll do the same to you."
Khushi sat up controlling her laugh.
"Yeah, let's run away then."
∆∆∆∆
Both the couple got out of thier rooms at the same time.
"You too?" Khushi, Yasir and Rehan both asked eachother in unison.
"Assalamualaikum. Yasir bhaijaan, Khushi didi." Muskan smiled her huge innocent smile unaware of the scary situation.
"Walaikum assalam little sparrow. Looks like she's oblivious. Good for her. Ignorance is a bliss." Yasir smiled nervously.
"Cutie.... you need to help us escape ok?"
Muskan blinked confused.
"Ji didi?"
With careful steps they walked into the living room.
"So, you all finally decided to leave your rooms huh?"
They all 3 flinched seeing Zarina ma right in front of them with a slipper in her hand.
"Assalamualaikum Ma. We're soo sorry.... we slept in today and missed your delicious breakfast. It won't happen next time. Please forgive us and don't be mad." Muskan requested.
Seeing her innocent puppy face all her anger drained out.
"Haaye my bacchi. Come here..." Zarina grabbed her hand taking her closer.
"How can I be mad at you my bachi Don't worry. Your ma isn't mad. You must be hungry no? Come. I've made you delicious lunch. All your favourite. Come my baby." She caressed her face treating her like a child and her heart melted seeing Muskan smile.
"Haha....yaay....ma isn't mad anymore." Khushi grinned nervously only to flinch at Zarina's firey gaze settling on her.
Her smile vanished and she hid behind her husband.
"I only meant my Muskan." She announced.
"Ma...." Yasir began but shut his mouth at the lioness' grunting.
"You 3! No food for you today!"
"Huh?!"
Muskan felt bad for everyone.
"Um...ma?"
"Yes my bacchi!"
"Forgive us all this once please."
"Yes ma.... we're your good kids." Yasir joined hugging her from the side.
"Please ma gorgeous ma..." Khushi hugged her too buttering her....and it was working. She looked at Rehan who stood thier silently.
"What about you? Aren't you going to try buttering me like these 3?"
Rehan grinned and went to them and hugged her too from behind Muskan, taking his chance to hug his wife too. Zarina smiled happily as it was the first time Rehan had hugged her like that. He had changed a lot, and it was all thanks to Muskan.
"Ok...ok.... I'll forgive you all this time, but next time be careful. If any of you wastes my breakfast again...." She warned.
"We understand." All 4 of them said in unison.
∆∆∆∆
The smell of something sweet cooking drove Rehan inside the kitchen. A huge smile came on his lips when he found his wife making gulab jamuns for him.
Walking on his tippy toes, he quietly went and hugged her from behind making her jump.
"Are these specially for me?" He murmured over the crook of her neck kissing it.
"No, they're for everyone!" She snapped.
"Ouch, is my butterfly still mad at me?"
"Yes!"
He brought his lips close to her ear.
"Even after what happened last night?" He whispered ever soo slowly.
Muskan flushed red remembering everything which didn't go unnoticed by Rehan. He kissed her heating cheek.
"Butterfly....you said you feel like kissing me whenever you hear my voice. Don't you want to do it now?"
She shook her head blushing harder. She couldn't believe she actually said that.
"Really? You really don't want to kiss me?"
She reluctantly shook her head again.
"But I want to."
Turning off the stove he gently held her chin and swooping his head down, captured her lips. Failing to resist after trying soo hard, she turned to him responding to him almost as desperately as he was
"The things you do to me butterfly!" He breathed as she rested her head over his chest trying to control her own breathing.
"Should I give you a surprise in return?"
Muskan nodded excitedly.
"You wanted to go on a picnic with everyone right? Let's go!"
∆∆∆∆
They finally reached thier destination but Muskan had fallen asleep on her husband's shoulder in the van.
"Butterfly....were here now. Wake up." He said softly, smiling, pushing her hair behind her ears.
She moaned a bit in response but didn't open her eyes.
"Oh right, bhai, cutie said that she'd not travelled like this for a long time so she was afraid she might get car sick. So I gave her some meds. Maybe she's still drowsy." Khushi informed from behind.
"Oh, never mind. I'll carry her to the room." He said turning towards his sister.
"But baccha, what's wrong with you? Why do you look soo pale?" He asked frowning, caressing her cheek.
"Ugh bhai, I think... I'm car sick." She replied gagging but holding it in with quite difficultly.
"Hey hey Jaan, do you want to throw up?" Yasir asked immediately holding her shoulders as she covered her mouth.
She nodded and Yasir took her out of the van and she rushed towards a tree throwing up. He rubbed her back till she finished.
"You ok now Jaan?"
"Much....better!" Khusi replied holding her aching stomach.
Rehan came out carrying his wife in his arms.
"Yasir, take her to your room to rest and take good care of her. Do you need a doctor baccha?"
"No bhai, just some sleep and food." She smiled weakly.
Rehan gave her a tensed expression. It was obvious he was worried.
"Rest well, hm?"
He turned to the bodyguards.
"Take Zarina ma to her room."
Khushi nodded and watched her brother go, swooning over how he carried the sleeping Muskan like a princess all the way to thier hotel room.
"Aww..... MashaAllah! I want to be carried like a princess too." She pouted.
Yasir bent down and sweeped her off her feet in one swift motion.
"Let's go my queen."
Khushi giggled.
∆∆∆∆
Muskan woke up finding herself laying on a soft surface. Feeling for it dhe realised she was on a bed. It was cold but she was covered in a warm blanket. She could hear sparks and smell smoke at a distance like someone had lit a fire.
FIRE?!
She immediately sat up, her heart and breath racing.
Was there a fire? She was all alone?!
Memories of that night flashed through her eyes like a living nightmare.
"R...rehaan.... REHAAAAN!"
There were hurried footsteps on the wooden floor and she desperately turned her head in that direction.
"Butterfly? What's wrong? Hey?" Rehan rushed towards her worried seeing her panicking.
"Re.... Rehan, we need to....we need to get out of here. There's.... there's a fire!" She stammered breathlessly.
Rehan pulled her in his arms trying to calm her.
"It's ok butterfly. There's no fire.... I just lighted a bornfire. It's ok." He kissed her forehead rubbing her back.
"B... bonfire? Please.... please put it...put off. I'm scared.... Rehan." She was already sobbing hiding her face in his chest.
Rehan felt his heart breaking seeing her condition. He completely forgot she had a trauma. Although, the bonfire was outside the bedroom.
"I'm soo sorry butterfly. Just give a min. I'll be back. Don't be scared." He said slowly getting up as she reluctantly let go of him and hugged her knees turning into ball.
He immediately came back putting off the fire. The room was cold again, and he took her on his lap cradling her like a child.
She was calm after a while.
"It's cold." She muttered.
"Hmm, we're in Lonavala after all and it's sunset now." He replied.
Muskan gasped lifting her head off his chest.
"Sunset?! Did I....miss Asar?"
"Yes, sorry, you were sleeping soo soundly, I didn't had the heart to wake u up."
Muskan sighed.
"Sorry, I got scared."
Rehan kissed her forehead.
"It's ok butterfly. I'll arrange a heater for us."
She nodded.
"After Maghreb everyone's gathering for dinner downstairs. Should we join them or shall I order something here?" He asked.
"I want everyone. Let's go downstairs then." Muskan replied with a smile.
"Of course u do. U love everyone else more that me. Especially Khushi." Rehan frowned.
Muskan giggled forgetting all about her fear a minute ago.
"That's not entirely true."
"We can have dinner soon then everyone can sleep early. I could sleep thanks to you, but you need to sleep too right." She said feeling for his face and slipped her hand up the side of his neck.
Rehan smirked and rested his forehead on hers.
"Butterfly....who said we're gonna sleep tonight."
Muskan gasped making him chuckle.
"I meant I'll read some books to you or something? Why? What did u think?" He teased.
"N... nothing." She whispered turning red.
His smile grew and he whispered in her ear
"Well.... whatever u thought was right though?"
∆∆∆∆
They were having quite a lively dinner in the downstairs hotel. Khushi had literally stolen Muskan from her brother and was feeding her herself much to Rehan's dismay. He was quite soo often giving chilling glares to Khushi who as usual was unfazed, on top of that, teasing him more by sticking her tongue out at him.
"Muskan....look, your hubby is glaring at me."
"Huh? Why?" Muskan asked cutely turning her head towards Rehan
"Uh....of course not butterfly. Why would I?" He said gently.
"You must've been mistaken didi." She smiled.
"Awww.....my cutie! You're soo cute. Will you sleep with me tonight in my room."
"No!" Both the husbands said in unison.
Zarina laughed at thier silent brawl.
"I thought this was a family picnic but you all are making it your private honeymoon. This won't do. The woman will sleep in one room and the men in another." She announced.
"What?!" Again the men almost yelled in unison.
"Ma, this son of yours will end up killing me in the middle of the night." Yasir grumbled pointing towards Rehan.
"I wish I could!" Rehan snapped smirking.
"See! And u know I can't sleep without my Jaan." He said and winked at his wife.
"I bet Rehan bhai won't be able to sleep without Muskan either." Khushi cooed nudging Muskan who was a blushing mess and Rehan cleared his throat looking away embarrassed.
The ladies giggled.
"Oh right, cutie, come to my room for a while. I have a surprise for you."
"For me?" Muskan asked excitedly.
Khushi took her to thier room holding her hand. Muskan inhaled a sweet scent as soon as she got in.
"Wow, it smells like flowers. But I don't know which, something like roses but something mixed with it."
"Oh! My cutie has a sharp nose. Come sit." She made her sit on the bed beside her.
"Yasir bought me a lot of flowers as I felt sick a little."
"You were sick? What happened? Are you ok?" Muskan asked worried feeling for her hand.
Khushi held her hand.
"Nothing serious cutie, I just got car sick. I'm ok now."
"Oh Alhumdulillah."
"Oh, BTW, here, I got you this dress."
Muskan instinctively took her hands back remembering the last time she gifted her a 'Dress'.
"What's wrong?"
"I.... don't want it. Thankyou." She said sheepishly. Blushing.
Khushi was laughing.
"Oh Muskan....relax, it's not that kinda dress. I got myself one so I bought 1 for you too. Here, feel it. The fabric is soo soft."
Muskan reluctantly took it a was really surprised.
"It's soo soft."
"Yeah, it's a purple frock. Wear it tonight."
Muskan frowned suspiciously.
"Oh comeon, you've already been to your honeymoon and I know....you two have already gotten too close ..."
Muskan flushed red making Khushi giggle.
"So don't be shy. It's not like that revealing nighty. It's a simple frock so that you can be comfortable with your hubby instead of wearing these dresses all the time. Take it. I bet you'll love it."
"Ok...if you say soo. Thankyou didi."
"You're welcome cutie." She said placing a kiss over her forehead.
