Part: 45 Powerless
"Andrew, look at what she did to me. She's betraying you. She always tries to seduce me when you aren't around. When I warned her that I would tell you, she did this to me. She's a liar." Dan accused Chloe, pointing a finger at her. Chloe stood still, looking down, silent because of her Aunt—she was already suffering enough because of her. Yet deep inside, she hoped Andrew would have faith in their love.
Today was the test of his love. If he failed, he would lose her forever.
Andrew's eyes blazed with anger as he stared at her. He strode over to her, his voice stern. "Is what Dan says true?"
"Ye-Yes," she stammered, clutching her hands, her eyes fixed on the floor.
"Get out. Now." He roared at her in a fit of rage, causing her to flinch, and a devilish smile flashed on his face.
She had thought he would trust her. But her heart shattered when he believed Dan over her. Tears welled up in her eyes as she ran from the room, covering her mouth to muffle her sobs.
Outside, she became hysterical, crying uncontrollably. She was broken and deeply wounded.
The marks on her body could prove her innocence. She could show Andrew the evidence that Dan had tortured her. But the fact that he had believed Dan over her hurt more than the physical pain. She no longer wanted to prove anything.
Inside, Andrew stood frozen in shock, staring straight. Dan placed his hand on his shoulder, bringing him back to the moment.
"I can't believe she betrayed me, Uncle. I loved her so much. I changed myself for her, and this is what she did to me," Andrew cried out, his voice cracking.
Dan embraced him. "Everything will be fine with time, Andrew. You need to move on and forget her."
"You should forget her because now she's mine, Andrew," he thought, a smirk stretching across his lips. Andrew cried in his arms, heartbroken and appalled.
They broke the hug. "You'll get through this. You're a strong man," Dan said, placing a hand on Andrew's face.
Andrew pursed his lips and nodded, wiping away his tears with the back of his hand.
"Uncle, I need to be alone for a while," he sniffled.
Dan nodded and left the room with an evil smile on his face.

Chloe drove home at full speed, tears streaming down her cheeks. She was completely shattered. Her phone rang repeatedly.
When she entered her mansion and saw the caller ID, 'Dan,' her face twisted in fury.
"Fuck you, bastard!" she screamed, throwing her in a rage.
She stormed to her room and began throwing things onto the floor, trying to release her pent-up anger. She was still crying, overwhelmed with agony.
After messing up the entire room, she ran her fingers through her hair and sat heavily on her knees with a thud, clutching her hair and crying uncontrollably.
"Why didn't you trust my love, Andrew?" she cried out, heartbroken.
Between hiccups, she whispered, "I thought you would trust me. I thought our love was strong, but you destroyed everything, Andrew. You destroyed us."
After some time, Chloe lay like a lifeless soul on the edge of the terrace, unafraid to die. She wasn't crying anymore, but her heart still ached with unbearable pain. She stared at the sky with a deadpan expression, her hair fluttering in the cold breeze.
She wondered, 'I wish I could kill that fucking asshole. He's an animal and made me relive my dreadful past. Back then, I was weak and endured all the torture, but now I'm strong. I'll never be weak again, and I'll show that bastard his real place very soon. I won't let that fucking bastard torture me anymore. It's enough. But before that, I have to find my aunt.'
She closed her eyes and a lone tear slid down her cheek as she murmured, "I wish you had trusted me, Andrew."
"Why the hell aren't you picking up my calls?" Dan's voice startled her, and she opened her eyes instantly.
Her anger surged as she saw him standing in front of her.
"Get the hell out of my house, or I'll throw you off this terrace!" she screamed at him.
Dan seized her jaw harshly, pinning her against the wall. "When will you learn to respect me?" he growled, tightening his grip.
Chloe sneered. "Never."
He glared at her. Her badass attitude was frustrating him.
"Do you want me to order my men to cut off your Aunt's hand, just like they took her finger?" he asked, and Chloe continued to glare at him, unflinching.
"Maybe you'll understand if I have both of her hands cut off." He jerked her face away and pulled out his phone.
Chloe felt utterly helpless. She wanted to kill him, but she couldn't—he was holding her Aunt's life hostage.
"Stop!" she shouted, and Dan paused to look at her. "Do whatever you want to me, but leave my Aunt out of this."
"Why should I listen to you?" he smirked, raising an eyebrow.
"Because I can tell Andrew everything," she threatened.
He laughed wickedly. "He doesn't trust you, Chloe. He trusts me. He threw you out of the house right in front of me."
She closed her eyes, devastated by the memory of how Andrew trusted him over her.
"But the wounds you inflicted can prove me innocent to him. So if you don't want Andrew to know how evil you truly are, you'd better listen to me," she retorted, turning the tables on him.
"You bitch!" Dan raised his hand to slap her, but this time, she caught his wrist before he could strike.
"Not anymore," she spat, pushing his hand away.
"I guess you don't care about your Aunt. Go ahead, tell Andrew everything. I'll just kill her," he snapped, his fury boiling over.
"Now stay quiet if you want to see your aunt alive." He moved dangerously close to her, and she stared at him with pure hatred in her eyes.
He grabbed her hair and attacked her neck like an animal. She squeezed her eyes shut, clenched her fists, and tears rolled down her cheeks. She wanted to push him away, but she felt helpless, unable to do anything because of her aunt.
He swiftly turned her around, yanking her hair harshly before pinning her face against the wall, bruising her face. He started biting her neck from behind like a wild animal, leaving deep marks on her skin. She cried silently, praying to God to stop it all.
She had the strength to stop him, but she couldn't do anything because of her aunt. The feeling of powerlessness and weakness was breaking her, hurting her more than the pain. Despite being strong, she was forced to endure this, and it was killing her inside.
"Aaaa..." she cried out in pain as he struck her wounded buttocks.
Then, the sound of a gunshot startled them both.
