Part: 41 Helplessness

At night, Chloe was waiting for Andrew, lying on the bed in sexy lingerie. As her phone beeped, she immediately picked it up from beside her.

It was a text from Andrew.

Andrew: I'm sorry, Sunshine, I'm stuck at work. I'll be late. So you sleep. Good night.

She pouted sadly.

"Busy Mafia," she muttered.

Chloe: But I want to sleep in your warm arms.

Andrew: I'm really sorry. Tomorrow, I promise.

Chloe: This is the first and last time I'm letting you off.

Andrew: And if I do this again, what will you do?

He asked, curious to know what she meant.

Chloe: I'll punish you hard.

Andrew: Oh really?

Chloe: Yes, you don't know how strict I can be.

Andrew: I'm scared of my strict girlfriend.

She chuckled after reading his message.

Andrew: Well, can I know what kind of punishment you would give me?

Chloe: I won't let you kiss me or touch me. I'll tie your hands and tease you.

Andrew: Now I'm really scared.

She laughed.

Chloe: So don't repeat this in the future.

Andrew: I won't, I promise. Now, to you later, I have to get back to work. I love you so much.

Chloe: I love you more.

Later that night, Andrew came back. He admired his sleeping Sunshine and then crawled into bed, hugging her from behind after pulling the duvet over them. As he held her in his warm arms, she smiled in her sleep and placed her hand over his.

The next day,

Andrew left for work early in the morning before Chloe woke up. Dan was deliberately keeping Andrew busy at work.

Chloe woke up with a sad pout, not finding Andrew beside her. She picked up her phone from the side table to message him, and her eyes fell on a folded piece of paper left on the table. She picked it up, and a smile flashed across her face as she read the first line of the note he had left.

'Good morning, my gorgeous Sunshine.
I know you must be angry about me leaving early this morning.
I have some important work. I'll come back in the evening, and we'll spend time together then.
Your love,
Andrew.'

She kissed the spot where "Andrew" was written and carefully folded the note, placing it in the drawer.

On the other side, Dan had obtained Chloe's information, and an evil smile spread across his face.

"Now, let's bring you to the bed, Chloe Walker," he said, smirking.

That evening, Dan knocked on Chloe's door.

She opened it, wearing a sexy crop top and denim shorts. His eyes gleamed with lust, as they always did when he saw her.

"Chloe, I need to talk to you about something important regarding Andrew," he said, controlling his desires. Her brows furrowed in worry.

She nodded and stepped aside to let him in. "Come in."

As he walked into the room, she closed the door. Then they both sat down on the sofa and he took his phone out.

"See this." He handed his phone to her.

Her eyes enlarged in shock, seeing a video of her aunt tied to a chair.

"What the hell is this?" she growled, shifting her angry gaze from the phone to Dan.

"I kidnapped your aunt." He gave her an evil smile.

"Why?" She asked, shocked and furious.

He stared at her with his eyes filled with lust, making her feel uncomfortable.

"If you want to save your aunt, you have to leave Andrew and become mine." Chloe was taken aback, listening to his condition.

"In your dreams, you bastard," she spat, swiftly taking out a gun from the drawer and pointing it at him. Her hands were trembling with uncontrollable anger. "For Andrew, you're like a father figure, and this is what you're doing? So disgusting. I'll kill you right now for betraying him, for kidnapping my aunt, and for even thinking about taking me from him." She barked, gripping the gun tightly.

He tried to snatch the gun from her hand, but she held on fiercely, unwilling to let go, her eyes filled with rage fixed on him.

Finally, he managed to wrestle it from her. She sneered at him.

"You're smart, Chloe, but I'm smarter." He taunted, lifting his to touch her, but she jerked away from his hand.

"Fuck off," she snarled.

He grabbed her arm roughly. "You made a mistake by shouting at me. Now you'll face the consequences."

She rolled her eyes defiantly. "I don't care. I'll tell Andrew everything."

He made a phone call and ordered his men, "Cut off Zia's finger."

"Stop! What do you want?" she exclaimed, fear finally breaking through her defiance.

He smiled triumphantly. "Now you're acting like a good girl," he murmured, moving closer. She shot him a deadly glare.

"I already told you what I want. You have to leave Andrew and come to me," he repeated.

"You're making a huge mistake, asshole."

Dan suddenly grabbed her by the jaw, forcing her to look at him. "Watch your language when you speak to me!"

"I won't. You deserve this, bastard—"

He slapped her hard across the face, causing her to fall to the floor. Her forehead hit the table, and blood began to trickle down. He bent down and yanked her hair back roughly, pulling her head up.

"Now do you understand?" he asked, still pulling her hair. She glared at him, seething with rage.

"Yes, I understand that you're a huge asshole." He slapped her again.

"You'll regret this kind of behaviour. Mark my words," he warned.

"I will never regret calling an asshole what he truly is."

"Well, I like your attitude and bravery, but soon I'll teach you some manners," he said, letting go of her hair and standing up.

She rose to her feet, still glaring at him.

"I'm giving you two days to turn Andrew's love into hatred so that he'll throw you out of the house. And don't even think about telling him. If you do, your aunt will suffer," he warned, pointing his finger at her.

She clenched her hands, trying to control herself from punching him.

He handed her a necklace. "Wear this, and don't take it off. It has a microphone and camera attached, so you can't betray me. I've also installed cameras everywhere, so no tricks. Or else, I'll kill your aunt."

"You'll regret this," she warned.

"You'll see who will regret it," he said before marching out of the room.

"Bastard!" she yelled, throwing a vase on the floor in fury.

After an hour, Andrew returned and knocked on her door. She stood up and rushed to open it. She wanted nothing more than to hug him tightly and tell him everything about Dan.

But she stopped as Dan's words echoed in her mind. "If you want to save your aunt, you have to leave Andrew and become mine."

She took a deep breath and shouted, "Andrew, go away! I don't want to talk to you. Go back to your work."

"I think someone is really angry. At least open the door, Sunshine. I'll make it up to you," he said, knocking again.

Tears brimmed in her eyes. She was feeling so helpless in this situation.

"No, I won't open the door. Just go!" she shouted, on the verge of breaking down.

"Okay, if that's what you want. I'm sorry again." He walked away, heartbroken. He thought she was angry because he hadn't been able to spend time with her since the previous day.

A tear rolled down her cheek. She longed to open the door and stop him but couldn't. She had never felt so helpless.

Once he left, she flung things around the room in a fit of rage. "I'll kill you, Dan," she growled, grabbing another gun from the drawer.

She stormed toward Dan's room and smiled darkly as she found him sleeping. Holding the gun, she approached, her eyes burning with hatred.
