Sandra finally woke up late that afternoon. She opened her eyes and didn't find Kidrey beside her on the bed. He must have woken up first before her.
Sandra didn't worry about that as she felt safe anyways in the place Kidrey took her. The sound of the ocean waves wasn't too far away, too.
Sandra got up from the bed and walked straight to the bathroom to take a shower. She felt sticky and dirty from the events last night.
The warm shower touching her face and body gave her instantaneous relief all over her core, and once she was done, it felt refreshing.
Sandra turned off the shower as she dried herself off with the towel while staring at herself in front of the mirror.
Her wide eyes staring back at her were a reminder of the events last night she still could not believe that she made it and is still alive today.
Memories flooded her mind and the truth about her brother's death made her want to tear up again but then Kidrey's face came up in her mind and it calmed her right away.
Right, where is he? Sandra wrapped herself up with the towel and walked out of the bathroom. She opened the only closet in the room and searched for clothes that would fit her but didn't find any. She ended up wearing the smallest size of a guy's T-shirt that she could find.
She is sure Kidrey owns what she's wearing. Good thing the size was enough to cover her ass. She wore the smallest shorts she could find in the closet, too, but she still had to tie it tightly around her waist so it wouldn't make her naked down there.
After Sandra was done dressing up, she looked for Kidrey downstairs.
Sandra didn't find him right away. She passed by the dining area and there was already food waiting on the table. She wondered how long were those foods were waiting there. Kidrey didn't seem to touch them yet too.
Sandra's footsteps were light but still created mild noises on the wooden flooring while roaming around the rest house to look for Kidrey.
On the balcony outside that's overlooking the beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean, Sandra finally found him. Her heart skipped at the sight of him.
Kidrey was sitting in one of the rocking chairs there. He was rocking himself back and forth as he watched the ocean view of the sunset ahead of him. He seemed to be drowned in his thoughts, too.
Sandra sighed as she slowly opened the sliding door leading to the balcony, making her presence known to Kidrey.
Kidrey looked in her direction as he smiled at her automatically.
"Darling." Kidrey greeted her.
Sandra's heart thumped at that endearment. She will never get tired of hearing that from Kidrey's lips.
Sandra joined him and settled herself on the other rocking chair beside him.
A comfortable silence ensued between them afterward. They just watched the sunset and the soft splashing of the waves ahead of them.
It is so relaxing and calming that Sandra wished time would freeze so she could stay here a little bit longer. This place seemed to take away all her worries and burdens the past few days. She could stay here forever.
Sandra glanced at Kidrey, and there was a somber look on his face again. Whatever he is thinking right now must be deep and important.
Sandra sighed as she raised her legs to the chair and then hugged her knees after. Her gaze was still on the ocean view of the sunset when she broke the silence.
"Falling in love with you was not part of my plan when I was plotting my revenge against the gang." Sandra began saying. "The feelings I felt and showed to you while we were together were genuine on my part, Kidrey." She glanced at him and found him already looking at her. "But I am still sorry that I have taken advantage of your feelings towards me to get my revenge on Mad KingZ." She sighed after saying it. She was not proud of it.
Kidrey continued watching her. She looked so fragile in his eyes right now. She already was before but even more now. With his oversized shirt and shorts she's wearing right now, he just wanted to hug and make love to her again right this moment. But it can wait. They needed to talk first.
"When I think about it, I don't blame you for the things that have happened," Kidrey told her after a moment of silence between them. "If not for your plan to wreak havoc in Madtown City, I would have not met you." He smiled slightly saying it. "I have a feeling that whatever the circumstances will be, I would still fall madly in love with you, Sandra Grace." He confessed. "It's too bad that we have started on the wrong foot but I don't regret it nevertheless. It's just you almost died in the process of doing it, and I won't forgive myself if that has happened. I was scared to lose you." Kidrey's hands on the chair tightened at that thought again.
Sandra stood up and slowly walked towards Kidrey. She stopped in front of him and looked at him straight in the eyes.
She is still here because of him. Her word of thanks might not be enough to convey her gratitude but he should never blame himself for what could have happened to her.
Sandra held his hand for comfort, but Kidrey easily pulled her closer to him. She didn't stop him as he helped her settle down on his lap. She just breath on his neck after. She felt him calming again. What's important right now is she is finally safe. She owed it to this man.
Kidrey caressed her back as he planted a soft kiss on her hair, too. "We can stay here however long you want. But when you are ready to talk about it, we can go back to Madtown City and," he sighed at the next words. "you can decide what should happen to TOP." He tried to look at her straight. The anxious look came back into her eyes again. Kidrey kissed her on the lips to comfort her. "Don't worry. He won't touch you ever again. In the meantime, the members put him in an asylum. This is for everybody's sake. Especially for your safety." He stared seriously at her. "But if you decide on something else that should happen to him, tell me and I can make it possible." The danger in his tone promised her those words.
Sandra got chills because of it. She wouldn't doubt that. Kidrey can do anything. She knew what Kidrey meant, too. But she doesn't want it. Too many things have happened already. Enough with the tragedy. She just wanted it over. "TOP in the asylum is fine. He needs the proper help." She decided.
Kidrey's breathing relaxed when she said it. He seemed to prefer that option, as well. He nodded to her as he held her closer after. "Your wish is my command, darling." He said in a yielding tone as he softly kissed her on the lips again.
Sandra smiled as she answered Kidrey's kisses on her.
"I love you, Sandra Grace."
A tear fell from her eyes because of his sincere confession again.
"I love you too, Kidrey. So much." She mumbled on his lips.
Kidrey deepened their kiss as he lifted her up and brought her back to their bedroom and made love to her over and over again that night. Promising her a future that exists only for the both of them.
Sandra wished the time would still and this moment with Kidrey would stay forever. She will never forget this night.
Many things might not be clear and still vague for them. Sandra doesn't know what will happen in the future, too, but in the meantime, she will take refuge in one thing that is clear and certain for now - she can finally let go of the past, hold on to the present, and take comfort in Kidrey's arms which promises her a warm future for the both of them.
The way Kidrey kisses Sandra right now, tells her that he will take care of her...and she would do the same thing for him too. A future that is away from harm, deception, and lies is not impossible to happen. It is never too late to start anew in this relationship. Kidrey promises her new beginnings. And Sandra already welcomes it.
