Hux woke up slowly, his vision coming back into focus. The monster was right next to him...it's eyes were like two black holes and it's mouth was full of sharp teeth. He looked over to his right at the door when it opened. It was Doctor Rey...
"Ah, you're awake, that was quite the episode you had yesterday."
Hux slowly sat up, he was so tired....he didn't understand what she was saying. "I thought I was going home..."
Rey sighed. "No, Hux, you're staying here." This became a daily routine. Every time she returned to Hux he was asking when he'd go home. It was just sad at this point.
"But...But Doctor Kylo–"
"Doctor Ben is gone, Armitage...he's been gone for months." She didn't understand why she always had to deal with the batshit crazy patients. "You requested a new doctor, remember?"
"No...No I...he was here to take me home!" He wanted to go home to his Papa...to his Mommy...
"Listen Hux!" Rey snapped. "We do this every time. You are staying here! Ben is gone and it's not going to change!!"
"Liar! Liar! Pants on fire!" He snapped and pulled at the chain connecting his straight jacket to the wall. Hux had the tendency to lunge at people now, snapping at them. "I'm going home! I'm going home! I'm going home!"
Rey crosses her arms, watching the man throw his tantrum. It was pathetic.
Once Hux was done he was sitting against the wall, staring at the floor, panting, tears in his eyes...he felt so weak and alone.
"Can we talk now, Armitage?" She sat on a chair. "Let me understand you."
Hux looked up at her slowly. He missed Kylo...
"Do you know how you got here?...Do you know the people you killed?" She barely finished her question before Hux began his mumbling which she's made out to be Christmas carols. It was eerie.
Huxs father killed his mother and then himself on Christmas Day...three years later on the same date Armitage snapped and killed three people. He's been here ever since. That was ten years ago and he never fully recovered. He wasn't put to death because of his mental disorder.
Hux felt like he was tumbling down a hill, trapped in his own mind. He wanted to kill this girl in front of him. He didn't like her. He didn't want her. He wanted Kylo. Where was Kylo?
"Fine...sing on, don't speak to me," she sighed as she gave up and left the room.
Hux sang the lyrics under his breath over and over until he snapped out of it and begged for food at the door.
It felt like he was stuck like this, he kept having such bad days. He tried his best to stay calm as he was fed, knowing that there was some kind of medicine in the food. It was so scary to not know what he was really eating...
"There you go, that's a good boy," the nurse cooed.
"Don't call me that. Why does everyone call me that? I'm not...I never...I..." Hux looked up at her and sniffled as she dabbed a napkin under his eyes. "I want Doctor Kylo back, please. This woman...I hate her."
The nurse nodded slowly and bit her lip. "I'll have him come visit you when he's free..."
Christmas was right around the corner and it was imperative that he didn't know or he'd throw a horrible fit. Maybe Kylo visiting was for the best.
