Half way into third year, Madison remembered she needed to write her father back.

"Well done in quidditch today!" She yelled to Cedric. "Thanks for coming, see you tomorrow!"

"Okay! Goodnight Cedric!" She yelled as he walked up the steps. "Goodnight." He called back.

She grabbed a quill and began writing.

"Dear Father,
There's a boy in my house his name is Cedric Diggory. I'm asking for one thing, his immunity. He's a little bit older, but I think he might be into me. I was to late to the chamber. There's a first year Ginny Weasley. After she opened it the damn basilisk petrified me! She got to it first- but the only parselmouths are Potter and me. It happened at the end of last year, but I've only been able to write to you now. I've been investigating it for a while but I don't know how! She hasn't been expelled so it couldn't have been intentional. Perhaps it was the imperio curse or even accidental."

She brought the letter to the owlry and sent it.

She hadn't heard from her father all of that year, when partly into the next year around the 1st task of the Triwizard tournament (which to Madison's dismay Cedric was in)

She caught the letter at breakfast. "Oh? You got post?" Cedric said. Madison didn't respond. "Are you okay?" He asked.

"I'm fine it's just someone from home." She said. "Are you okay though?" He asked. "Yeah I'm fine I've just got potions so I'll catch up with you later?" She said

"Okay. I love you." He said, "I love you too."

She opened the letter, and began to read.

"Daughter,
Let me start with DONT involve yourself with boys. Unless you want me to put a curse on them? Which I guess you want to avoid. Next, look further in to how the Weasley girl got in. No one knows how expect you and I, unless she's been... Wait the diary! I left it in the possession of Lucius Malfoy! If I can't contact him, try to find out more about my diary through his boy. I'll be able to see you in person soon, for now stay safe. You mean an awful deal to me, my plans they've been delayed. Oh, and one last thing about the Diggory boy. If you continue seeing him, you may have just sealed his fate."
