Chapter 9: Luna Lovegood

Madison Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Chapter 9: Luna Lovegood

The morning started off with Mrs. Weasley yelling at Fred and George. She was yelling at them because apparently, they nearly apparated on top of Ginny, resulting in nearly killing her. I highly doubt that they would actually kill her, but whatever.

"Come on, Madison." Moony said, pulling me aside real quickly.

"What? Aren't you going?" I asked him.

"No, I'm sorry. I don't think that it would be a smart choice." he said with a sad smile.

"Oh."

"Well, Madison, promise me that you'll try to stay out of trouble this year." he said, looking sternly at me.

"I'll try. But Uncle Moony, I'm the daughter of James and Lily Potter."

"And your father looked for trouble. Your mother seemed to get into trouble." he softly smiled, as if there was a memory about them.

"Yes, well, I have their genes, then?" I smiled.

"Madison, just try."

"I will. I promise."

"Really?" he asked, raising his eyebrow at me.

"Well what am I supposed to do with those Filibuster Fireworks? Fred got me those for my birthday."

George, on the other hand, had given me a locket with a picture of me and him in it.

"Well... Be careful. I don't need you burning yourself."

"I love you, Uncle Remus." I said, attacking him with a hug.

"I love you too, Madison." he replied, hugging me.

"Well, I have to go. We have the Hogwarts Express to catch, remember?"

"Come on, we haven't got all day." Mad-eye Moody grumbled, obviously ticked off.

So, we got on the train. We had bid goodbye to the people in the Advanced Guard who had brought us all here. Mrs. Weasley gave us all big, bear hugs. She nearly caused my lungs to burst so I could not breath anymore.

I kissed George on the cheek.

"I'm gonna go sit with Harry, alright?"

"Alright." he smiled.

"I'll ride the carriage up to the school with you, though." I said as he kissed my forehead.

We bid one another goodbye. Running up to Harry, I found him talking to Neville Longbottom. The three of us decided to share a compartment together.

There was only one compartment left, and it had two people in it. I recognized one of them as Ginny.

I opened up the compartment door, and asked, "Ginny, do you mind if we sit with you?"

"Of course not. Come on in."

So, I sat down next to my brother and Ginny. Neville sat next to a girl. He looked very uncomfortable.

The girl was wearing a Ravenclaw uniform, and earrings in the shape of radishes. Her hair was long, wavy, and dirty blonde. She wore glasses that were red in one lense and blue in the other. She pushed them down so we could see her eyes. They were an icy blue color.

She was reading a magazine upside down. It was called "The Quibbler".

"I'm Luna, Luna Lovegood."
