Chapter 3: He Did Not Look at Me

I wanted to see what was behind that door. I really wanted to open it, but whenever I had gotten the chance to have the ability to open the door, I woke up, sweating. It never stopped.

"George?" I asked one night as I snuck into his room.

"Yeah, love?" he asked, sleepily.

"Can I sleep with you again? I keep having the dreams."

"Alright, love."

He snuggle me as I buried myself under his comforter.

"You need to tell Dumbledore."

"I did. But he has not done anything."

"He's Dumbledore, though."

"Yeah, but he won't look me in the eyes anymore."

-------------------------------------------------------

"Wait- so my twin brother is at my Aunt Peatunia's and Uncle Vernon's house, and he just fought a bloody Dementor?" I asked that night at dinner, in pure disbelief.

"Yes, and we are going to get him." Lupin smiled.

"Well can I go? I mean, he is my brother." I said, longing to see my older twin brother.

"No, Madison, you can not go." Sirius said, protectively.

Ron, Hermione and George came to my rescue.

"Sirius- Harry is her brother." Ron said.

"If anything, she has the right to see him before any of us do." Hermione added to Ron's statement.

"Their family. So why won't you let her go?" asked George.

"Because she is too young." Remus said protectively.

That was when I snapped.

"I am fifteen years old! I am not too young! I think I should be able to see my brother, who, must I remind you, is my only blood relative left that I actually love."

"What if you get hurt? You know Harry would feel like it was all his fault-" Lupin began.

I cut him off. "I would rather get hurt if meant keeping him alive. We are in a war, Remus Lupin, and people are going to get hurt. I just don't want Harry to be one of them."

"He probably feels the same way, excpet he does not want you to get hurt!"

"Well, I think that Harry and I have been hurt in the other war, too. Our parents died. And knowing us," I said, not thinking about what I said. "we will get hurt even more in this one too."

There was a very pregnant pause, and Dumbledore spoke up.

"I think, Miss Potter, that they are correct- you can not go with them when they retrive your brother."

What was one of the things that hurt me the most when he said that?

He did not look at me.

Sometimes, I had realised then, that most of the time it is the simple things that people do that make you angry. That make you feel like they hated you, when it was actually the oposite.

It seems that whenever I need Dumbledore the most, he does not look at me. He does not notice that I am there.

Well, Dumbledore, I am ready.
