Chapter 8: The Detour of Draco
Madison Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Chapter 8: The Detour of Draco
After those happy thoughts of Hagrid, we had all decided to get our boring school supplies. Multiple times, creepy stalker people tried to peer pressure Mr. Weasley into buying these sort of amulets for Ginny, Hermione and I.
I suspect that those necklaces were probably cursed.
Anyway, it was finally time to see Weasley's Wizard Wheezes.
It was not my first time seeing the highly successful joke shop, but I was still quite amazed at what the twins could actually pull off some days.
We all walked into the joke shop, and I automatically went to the counter, where George was helping a young boy with choosing something for his younger sister.
"There you go! Why don't you go to Fred over there? He'll help you ring it up. Tell him that it's fifty percent off, just for you," George smiled at the boy. The boy grinned and ran to the register, where Fred was.
I grabbed my husband's hand and pulled him into the back room.
"What the- Madison!" George squished me in a hug.
"George!" I mocked his excitement.
"What are you doing here?"
"Well, currently, your family is here, and since Hermione, Harry and I are staying at your house..."
George rolled his gorgeous eyes at me.
"Madison, you're family now. My family is your family."
"I know, Mr. Weasley," I grinned.
"Glad to hear it, Mrs. Weasley."
George then brought his lips down onto my lips; I had to go on my tippy toes just to reach him.
The kiss soon became passionate and sparks flew everywhere; we were full on snogging now.
We made our way over to the couch in the back room. I lay down on the couch and let him get on top of me and kiss me. Everything got very heated really soon.
It went pretty far- I mean, George had his shirt off and my shirt was off too, leaving me only with underwear, pants, shoes and a bra on- until somebody had to come in and ruin it.
Cough, cough, Harry and Fred, cough, cough.
"Get off my sister, Weasley," Harry calmly said, his face turning redder and redder by each passing second.
I rolled my eyes as my husband got off of me and put his shirt back on. I turned around, facing the other way, and put my shirt back on. I didn't want Fred and my older twin brother to see me without a shirt on. It was already awkward enough.
"Anyway," Fred said after a slightly awkward pause. "How do you like the shop, Harry?"
Harry grinned in delight. "I love it."
After a few more minutes of Fred and Harry and George discussing random things, such as Quidditch, I stole one last kiss from George. Winking at him as Harry and I left, I mouthed to him, "Later."
"You can't control my life, you know," I told Harry, a bit pissed off.
"Yeah, well, you almost just had sex," he replied, angry.
"Who just almost had sex?" Ginny suddenly said, sneaking up behind us.
"Madison, with George," Harry said, blushing slightly at the sight of Ginny.
Ginny's face became disgruntled; she obviously thought the idea of her brother having sex was foreign and disgusting. She winced and then looked at me weirdly.
"I have no comment. Anyway, Madison, can I talk to you for a moment?"
"Sure," I replied, looking at my brother with a smirk. "Wait, are you going to let me Harry? Because you control me life?"
Before he could respond, Ginny pulled me away.
"What was that all about?"
"Harry thinks that he can control my life. Besides, I wouldn't go and have sex with George now. I can't handle it all just yet, and during the war... I wouldn't want my child to be born into that."
"Well you and George would be good parents, then. The way he was helping that little boy earlier buy a present for his younger sister."
"I know he would. It's one of the reasons that I love him."
Ginny gave me a true smile.
"Anyway, what is going on with you and-"
I was suddenly pulled away from the Weasley girl by my brother; he dragged me up to the top of the building. Hermione and Ron were also with him.
Crouching down so the four of us wouldn't be seen by bystanders, I whisper yelled at my older twin brother, "What the hell, Harry!?"
He sushed me and pointed towards a shop that I recognized as Borgin and Burke's.
"It's rude to point, you know," I sassed to my brother.
"Whatever, Madison," Harry sassed back.
Inside of the shop, there was a boy with slicked back blonde hair and tight black dress robes. It was Draco Malfoy. I hated that guy! He was the one who killed my cat Athena in my fifth year. However, I had my kitten Pippin now.
"What's he doing in there?" Ron asked, curious.
"Don't know, probably something dark," Harry replied with a shrug.
I glanced over and soon saw Malfoy taking a sudden interest in some sort of cabinet. I gasped in realization.
"Harry," I began to inform my brother. "That's the cabinet we hid in when we messed up saying Diagon Alley wrong!"
"It is!"
"Look," Hermione rudely interrupted our thoughts of our lack of a childhood. "He's looking at some sort of necklace."
We watched for a moment. Malfoy was indeed looking at some sort of necklace.
"Is it for his girlfriend? Oh wait, he's such a loser he doesn't have one!"
At least I got a laugh out of Ron for my rude comment.
While Ron and I were laughing, Malfoy had gone out of the shop with whom I assumed was his mother. Poor woman; she lives with Draco Malfoy.
"Come on," Harry said, motioning us to go in to the shop.
"No way," I said, stopping abruptly. "Harry, we can't go in there."
"How come?" Harry dumbly asked me.
It became very clear to me, at that sudden moment, why there was multiple reasons that I was the smartest out of the two of us.
"Because last time I checked, you're Harry Potter, and I'm Madison Potter- well, Weasley, but that's besides the point- we can't go in there! And Ron can't as well! They'd know something fishy is going on if any of us three just decided to skip in there happily!"
I glanced over at Hermione, who had a look of realization upon her face as well.
"Hermione, you have to be the one who goes in there."
"Fine," she sighed. My bushy haired friend went into the shop.
We went back to our original spot and pulled out an extendable ear to listen to the conversation.
"Excuse me sir, how much is that necklace?" Hermione asked, a hint of nervousness hidden in her voice.
"A half thousand galleons, but I doubt you have that sort of money."
"Is anybody... Buying it? Is it being kept for somebody?"
The man knew what Hermione was trying to do; in response, he said to her, "Out! And don't ever come here again!'

After listening for hours about Harry's theory that Draco Malfoy was a Death Eater, I simply said that I agreed with him and then walked out of Ron's room and into Ginny's.
"So," I began, sitting on the floor. She sat down across from me. "What on Earth is going on between you and Dean Thomas?"
She went slightly red. "We might be dating."
I grinned.
"Harry likes you, you know," I told her.
"No, he doesn't."
"Yes, he does! Ginny, I've known him for my whole entire life. I know that he like-likes you. It's obvious, too!"
"Whatever, Madison," she said, smiling to herself.
"Whatever, Ginny."

I sat at the kitchen table, Fleur sitting across from me with Bill next to her. Next to me was George; I had my head on his chest.
We were the only ones in the kitchen at the moment, and it was pretty awkward. Then again, it was nearly eleven o'clock at night.
"What waz it like, to finally be married?" Fleur suddenly asked me.
George grinned. I smiled and replied.
"It was nice. I was able to know that I would always have somebody to love me no matter what. I knew that I would be okay, and that everything would be alright, because even though we're in the middle of a war, and I am fairly certain that I will be someone who everybody is looking to jail soon, I can relax at night and know that I'm safe."
"What about when zou go to Hogwartz?"
I sighed.
I hadn't thought about that, not just yet.

I hope that this chapter is long enough for you all! I want you all to know something before I continue!
Every month as I have my full moon, which is also when Aunt Flo decides to make her grand appearance, I am in a crabby mood.
This might mean that I do some... Harsh things to characters.
Example:
READ THE LATEST CHAPTER OF HERMIONE'S SISTER AND YOU WILL GET WHAT I MEAN.
Anyway...
I have a question for you all!
Should I make a special for July 4th?
Word count at final: 1564.
