Chapter 16: Why the Hell Is Katie Bell In The Air?

It was starting to snow; I couldn't believe that time had passed by that quickly. It made no sense what so ever, but I had to deal with it.

Dumbledore hasn't called Harry and I to any lessons recently. Whenever we would ask McGonagall where he was, she would just say he was taking care of some business with the Order. I wasn't worried about the old man. He had enough skill to hold of Voldemort if he had the tragic chance to meet him.

Then again, Dumbledore was the only one that Voldemort ever feared. Voldemort didn't even fear me, but he should, because I can be quite scary some days.

Anyway, I was getting ready for Hogsemede. George would be meeting me there at Honeydukes.

I put on a pair of jeans, and sweater, snow boots and my winter coat. I put on a hat over my red waves and I put on slight make-up. I decided to put on my glasses because I was too lazy to put on contacts today. My wedding ring was on a chain that was around my neck, hidden from view unless I showed people.

Standing outside of Honeydukes, I thought about how I got an O on my essay in Defense Against the Dark Arts. Surprisingly, Snape actually looked at my work, and gave me a good grade. I can't say anything about Harry's, because he wouldn't let me see it.

I saw George out of the corner of my eye; I ran up to him and kissed him hard on the lips. God, I had missed him so much...

"Hey," he stated once we broke away from the kiss, a dopey smile on his face.

"Hey," I replied back to George. I took his hand in mine.

Together, we walked down to The Three Broomsticks. We talked about little useless things, such as cats and Pippin.

Once we got to the pub, we got a table and sat.

"How's school been, love?" George asked me, curious and concerned.

I sighed and held his hand across the table.

"It's been... Sucking, honestly. There hasn't been anything good about it... Except I am Harry's assistant captain."

"Well I certainly I hope everything gets better," he told me, hopeful.

I shrugged in response. There was a chance that maybe things would suddenly turn around and become good, but it was very small. Perhaps it wasn't even there.

"George... Look," I stated, pointing to a familiar redheaded Weasley girl in a booth with Dean Thomas, who was sucking her face off.

He made a noise that sounded a lot like a cat meowing in a blender; he seemed a bit mad.

"Hey- I'm pretty sure Ginny and Harry will get together soon... Really soon, okay?"

He nodded his head.

About forty five minutes later, the two of us kissed good-bye and whispered sweet nothings into each other's ears.

"I love you," I told him.

"I love you too," he replied.

With one last hard kiss, the two of us parted ways.

I began to walk down the main road that was covered in fluffy white snow; I caught the eye of my brother. He too was heading down the same road: back to Hogwarts.

I ran to catch up with him, Hermione and Ron. I felt almost as if the four of us haven't talked all together in ages.

"Wait up!" I called, snow getting inside of my boots. Wonderful; they would be soaking wet later on.

"Madison! How'd your date go?" Hermione asked me, excited.

"Good! We talked about random stuff, and-" I was interrupted by somebody in the air right in front of us.

There was a scream, and I looked up only to recognize the girl.

It was Katie Bell, the other Gryffindor chaser alongside Ginny and I. Horror crossed my face. What the fuck happened?
