A New Years Eve Special
Madison Potter and the Half Blood Prince
A New Years Eve Special
"Do we have to go to my Mom and Dad's house?" George whined.
The date was December 31st, and it was around three in the afternoon. George and I were due to go over to the Burrow at five that evening.
At midnight it was going to be 2000, and I was excited. A new century. I'd be twenty this July... God, I'm so old...
"Yes," I replied to him, putting down my book as he came and cuddled next to me.
"But I want to have our New Year's kiss here... And maybe... Have that kiss go somewhere else... Maybe do some things down south?" George told me.
I slapped his shoulder lightly. "That sounds like a wonderful idea... But we can wait till maybe... Well, I promised your Mom that we'd be there."
"It's not too late to cancel," George told me in a husky voice.
"You know how your Mom gets... Besides, maybe we can take things down south over there. Your old room is always a good place... Good memories there," I reminisced.
"Alright... I know for sure that Fred is going to be out of town with Angelina. They're in New York City to see that ball drop," he laughed towards the end.
"Oh my lord," I laughed. "You take everything weirdly! The ball drop!"
"You love it!" George smiled, kissing my cheek.
"I know I do," I grinned, kissing his cheek.
I was dressed in a nice red dress. (A/N: see pic. That's her dress.)
"Now I think you're just trying to make me feel lustful," George told me as he wrapped his arms around me once I came out of the bathroom.
"Oh, Georgie, how ever did you know?" I rolled my eyes.
"Because I'm in love with you."
"And I'm in love with you."
"Let's get going," George told me.
"Madison! George! I haven't seen you in forever!"
"You saw us last week, Mom," George rolled his eyes.
"Still!" Mrs. Weasley called out. "Now, George, all the guys are in the family room. Madison, dear, come with me to the kitchen, will you? The other girls are there too."
"Okay," I told her, giving George a quick kiss on the lips that he quickly returned.
"Madison!" Ginny suddenly called out.
"Ginny!" I exclaimed. "Hermione! Fleur! Audrey!"
"How are you doing?" Hermione asked me.
"Good," I replied.
"Have you discussed... You know, having kids with George?" Audrey asked.
I smiled and shrugged.
"I mean... We've kind of... Discussed it through doing the frick frack. I mean, we've been trying for a month or so now. And it hasn't been working! And it's making me frustrated."
"Have you thought about maybe seeing a doctor or something?" Ginny asked me.
I nodded and laughed.
"Half of the time I think a lot of you guys forget that I am a Healer. I've checked it all out, and I've discovered that it's not something that deals with George and I not being infertile. It's simply just we've been deciding to do it at the time where I am the least fertile during the month."
"So... What are you now?" Fleur asked me.
"Extremely fertile," I told her.
"Well then why the fuck are you here? Shouldn't you be with George?" Mrs. Weasley surprised us all by swearing.
"We're doing some South Pole stuff later tonight," I awkwardly stated.
There was a pregnant pause before I asked, "Ginny, where's my brother?"
"Harry's with Ron in the other room."
I nodded before walking out with a huge blush on my face.
"Hey, Harry?" I asked, walking into the room.
"What, Madison?" Harry asked me, looking up from his chess game with Ron. He was loosing horribly.
It was nice to know that after all these years, Ron would still beat everybody at chess.
It was also nice to know that Harry still sucked at it.
"Can you grab my purse? It's right behind you."
"Sure," he said, grabbing the purse,
The purse grew a mouth as he tried to take out of it and yelled at him, "HANDS OFF THE PURSE, YOU WEIRDO!"
Harry dropped the purse and squeaked in horror.
"What the hell?" Harry squeaked out.
I laughed and plopped down next to him and grabbed it.
"It's this new idea I came up with, since you always seem to go into my purse and take my gum out of it-"
"No I don't," Harry innocently lied.
"I figured that George and Fred could sell these purses at the shop, that when somebody else besides the owner tried to go in it, the purse yells at you and shocks you. That way, nobody but the person who owns the purse can get into it."
"Bloody hell, that's actually a good idea," Ron looked up from the chess board.
"I have them some times," I told him.
"Checkmate," Ron told Harry. "I'm sure Madison would love to play against you, Harry."
I smiled. "I would, but I don't want my brother here to get beaten... Again. Besides, the last time we played, we fought over who would have which color."
Percy scoffed. "Such children, the both of you."
"Funny, I recall us having that same fight the other day," Bill sassed his younger brother.
I stood up and went over and sat next to George. I whispered what we talked about in the kitchen into his ear, and he blushed.
"That was my reaction," I told him.
"Do you wanna leave two minutes after midnight?" George asked me.
I nodded.
"Five... Four... Three... Two.... One!"
George and I brought our lips together and kissed as it became the year 2000.
"Happy New Year," I whispered to George.
"Happy New Year," George replied to me.
