Getting to Know The Hales Better

"Laura, where are we going?" I shouted.

Derek and Laura where ahead of us, running. They run so fast. Me and Peter were trying to follow but I keep on slowly him down. He's basically dragging me.

I looked down at are hands that were still intertwined and smiled.

"Stop asking and hurry up you two." She shouted back.

While we ran twinges and leaves crushed underneath our feet. We had to jump and duck under fallen logs along the way.

I started to become tired and wore out, so I stopped and put my hands on my knees trying to catch my breath.

"H-ho-hold on." I said in between breath.

"Hey you okay?" Peter said putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah just tired, I'm a bad runner" I said with a little laugh.

I see Peter turn around, his back facing me, and kneel down. He turned his head to face me. "Hop on."

"Really?" I was dying to laugh, "You're going to give me a piggy back?" He nodded his head smiling. I shrugged and said, "Okay then."

I jumped on his back and wrapping my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. He put his hands on the lower part of my legs and said, "Hold on tight."

He started to run, and I had to hide my face into his back because flies were flying into my face. He is running very fast, how is that possible?

I felt Peter come to a stop to I was too scared to let go. "Is it safe? Can I come down?" I said but it was muted because my head was pressed into his back.

"Yes, it's safe, now come down." He laughs.

I slowly raised my head and my jaw dropped at the site in front of me. It was beautiful. I slid down from Peters back and walked forward. We were on a hill with a view of the town, the sun was just setting and some lights in the town were on.

"You like it?" Derek asked. I looked over at him and nodded. I was at a loss for words.

After I had finished admiring the scenery we got to talking.

We talked about growing up, birthdays, Christmas', funny and embarrassing stories.

"One day Derek can back home at least 3 o'clock in the morning and Peter thought it was a bugler, so he went down stairs and jumped on him, literally. He pinned him to the floor, mum turned the down stairs lights on to see. Me and Cora found it hilarious!" Laura finished her story and started to laugh, and I joined in only to notice one thing.

"Wait, who's Cora?" I asked

"Oh God, yeah you don't know, she is our sister," Derek explained. "We can meet her if you want, it's getting late anyway."

"Yeah, okay. I would love to meet the new Hale."

We all started to stand up and go. Laura and Derek ran off again. I sighed.

"Want a piggy back?" Peter asked with a cheeky grin.

I smiled and nodded. I jumped on his back and he took off.

A few minutes later we were back at the house. I hopped off Peter and we walked inside the house.

"Cora, there is someone I wound like you to meet." Derek said. He was in another room. He walked out holding a girl's hand.

She had brown hair and brown eyes. She looked like 10-11 years old.

"Cora, this is Madison she was our friend when I was 5 years old. Madison, this is Cora my youngest sister she is 11 years old." Derek introduced us.

Cora walked up to me and extended her hand to me to shake, which I did.

"Nice to meet Madison, I have heard a lot about you."

"Nice to meet you too. I have just heard about you, but I would love to know you better." I said.

She looked at something behind me and smiled, she then stood on her tip-toes to whispered in my ear, I leaned down a little to help her.

"By the way, Peter keeps on checking you out."

My head snapped to where Peter was standing and just in time I seen him look the other way. I smiled and looked back at Cora.

"You should do something about it." She joked.

"Okay Cora, shut the hell up and go away." Peter snapped. Cora just smiled and walked away.

I looked back at Peter and smiled at him. He winked back, and I blushed.
