I stared at the woman in front of me. Questions started to flood through my mind.

Happened?

My mother. Not my aunt...but my mother. So many emotions stared to flood though my system. I think I mighty faint.

Evelyn-or I should say mom-held a hand to my cheek.

"I've waited for this day for 17 years," she told me quietly. Anger suddenly started to rush through my veins.

"Why did you give me up?" I stood up. My mother soon followed. "I didn't give you up," she explained calmly.

I scoffed. "Ok. It's only just the person who gave birth to me giving me over to a family who is just as messed up as her real family-" I sarcastically ranted, but I suddenly stopped realizing one thing.

Four is my brother

I've always felt a brotherly thing for him. But I just though it was just like considering Zeke, Luke, and Uriah my brother. No, no, no, his was more.

"Just let me explain," she pleaded. You could see the desperation in her facial features.

Dang it! Why did I have to be divergent?? The dauntless part of my brain wants be to run away before I do something drastic. The Erudite part wants me to stay so I could get my questions answered by a reliable source. The Abnegation part of me wants to forgive my mother-you know what, I'm just going to say Evelyn. Anyway, the abnegation part of my brain wants to forgive Evelyn for what she has done and comfort her current affliction.

"Explain," I hissed at her as I sat back down on the bench. Relief flooded over Evelyn's facial features. She visibly relaxed and let out a sigh of relief. I took a deep breath and calmed myself down.

"Ok...so I am your mother," she stated proudly, "the reason you stayed with Ella was because I didn't want you to live the life of abuse."

I slightly scoffed.

"But," she insisted that I listened ,"I had no idea that Ella was going though the same thing with Aaron." She spat Aron's name as though the name itself tasted disgusting on her tong.

"After I was 'dead' I have visited you more than you think." She told me with a soft smile. "Many times I have came to your school as the 'Erudite' chemistry teacher. Or the 'Candor' factions debate teacher."

"Why didn't you send, Tobias with me?" I asked. She shook her head.

"Marcus always wanted a girl. But only one. I'm guessing you already but two and two together by now about you and Tessa being twins?" She asked I nodded.

"Since Tessa was 8 minutes older than you, she would of corse be in Marcus's favor. But I'm glad I made the decision I made, look at how much of a young woman you have became." She stated at the end. I nodded. She's glad she made her decision? I held my tong back from saying anything.

"How come I looked just like Calum, Kian, and Sam; but later I changed..." I trailed off while replaying the words in my head. I hoped it made sense to her.

"That my dear, is makeup serum. I'm guessing you know what that is?" She asked, but it sounded like she was stating it.

"Calum was caught in the Erudite labs with makeup serum with Kian. They've changed. " I told her.

She shook her head and muttered , 'like father like sons, insane.'
"You were given makeup serum when you were a baby. It has just recently worn off by the look of your features. You have my eyes and hair but Marcus's tanned skin."

Evelyn then checked her watch. "It is getting late, I'll have to wrap up this reunion." She told me.

"The reason I called you was for a...what you say...proposal." She said oh so elegantly. A proposal. Woah woah woah lady we ain't getting married here.

"This proposal is it join me, along with the factionless. There is buzz about uprisings and corrupt systems, Sarah. Excuse me, I'm guessing you still prefer Stormy. Anyway, I want you to join the right side, Stormy." Evelyn says. I stood there, still processing the information. Goodness I'm getting a headache because of this.

"Now I'm not saying you have to decide now. But I'm saying you should at least think about it." That was when her watch went off.

"Well then...we will see each other soon, Stormy." Evelyn states as she walks away into the darkness.
