"20 MORE!" Veronica shouts at me. I groaned and flopped down on my stomach.

"You try doing 203 push-ups." I spat at her. She chuckles.

"Oi! Don't kill her!" A voice booms. I rolled onto my back and glared at a smirking Veronica. I pointed an accusing finger at her.

"She is tiring to kill me just to get to my brother." I say as I got up. She rolled her eyes.

"Eww I'd rather jump the chasm." She told me. I turned towards an amused Eric. I walked into his embrace and leaned into his sturdy figure. His chest rumbled as he
chucked.

"How was training?" He asked. I looked up at him and playfully glared.

"How do you think it went?" I countered. He shook his head and cracked a smile.

A sudden gasp was hear from Veronica. "H-h-he s-s-s-s-smiled?" She asked in mocking horror. Eric flipped her off.

"C'mon, we have a load of initiates to scare." Eric told me as a devious smirk spread across his face. I nodded and skipped towards the exit like an Amity.

Eric wrapped his arm around my waist as we walked.

"You excited to train initiates?" He asked. I nodded and smiled. We met max at the opening where the initiates would enter.

"Ok," Max started, "Four and Stormy will stay here while Eric and I will be on the roof. Lauren, you'll be handling all the dauntless born by yourself today because Michael is sick." Max explained. Lauren frowned and leaned towards my ear.

"Tell Michael that he's a bïtch for leaving me today." She whispered. I nodded while chuckling.

Four and I waited as the choosing started.

"Did you see Sam today?" He asked. I shook my head.

"I think he went early...something about a prank." I replied.
We both leaned against the net in silence. Almost everyone was at the ceremony, so we sat here all alone. My mind wandered off about my family. Am I really their child. As much as I wanted to, I didn't tell Four about seeing his mother in those files, but I told him everything else.

"Four," I said, nervous about the question I was about to ask.

"Yeah?"

"What was your mothers last name?" I asked.

He furrowed his eyebrows meaning he was deep in thought.

"I think...it was Foster...why?" I stiffened. Oh my.

"Can I come over to your apartment later? So we could discuss some things." I asked he nodded. Before he could say anything a loud train whistle was heard.

"Here they come." Four said.

We listened to the leader's boring speech and waited in anticipation as Eric asked,

"Who's first?"

We heard someone volunteer. It sounded like a girl. Suddenly, a blur of grey clothing came into view.

She was abnegation.

Well then, kudos to you abnegation for loosing members every 2 damn years.
The girl started to laugh as she bounced off of the net. I laughed along with her since her laugh was almost contagious.

Before I could get to her, Four helped her off of the net.

"Did you get pushed?" He asked her rudely. I smacked his arm and glared at him.

"What's you name?" I asked her.

She stuttered for a bit.

"Is it a hard one? You could change it if you want." I told her while smiling at the end. She thought about it for a second.

"Tris." She stated confidently. "My name is Tris."

"Nice name." I complimented her. "Make the announcement Four." I told Four who was staring at the Tris. Ooooo, he's not getting away with that.

"First jumper, TRIS!" He shouted

Initiates came down one by one. I would be lying if I said I wasn't relived when I saw Sam. As much as Sam belonged to Dauntless, I still second guessed his choosing.

While glancing at the pool of initiates behind me, I internally groaned as I saw all the Candor. Luckily, either Four or Eric would scare them enough for them to keep their mouths shut.

The final initiate came down. I was surprised as I saw a blur of grey and short hair. As I helped the initiate off I froze.

It was as though I was looking in a mirror.
