Chapter 37

*1 WHOLE YEAR LATER*

Narrators POV

All is fair in love and war...

But the two never really go together, don't they?

A long young love is trying to last while a newly birthed war is coming to hand.

From the age of nine Stormy has felt a love that she had never experienced. She has received love; but not this type.

But now it was destroyed. All because of one serum.

Transmute Serum

As said from the pages of every faction teen's text book, "Transmite Serum is the most barbaric serum ever invented, second to fear stimulants.
The serum creates a form of vapor that enters the circulatory system of the victim. Once fully activated, the person would then see their enemy's as their friends or vice versa. If specific DNA is placed in this serum. The injector will look like whoever the DNA sample belongs too. This newly formed perspective would and could be only seen from the injected member."

Interesting...isn't it?

One would assume that this could be used for good.

But as my mother would say, "assumptions where the mother of all fück ups"

Dearest Stormy huddled in the back corner of the room, cradling herself from the twisted reality that awaited her.

She's seen it all

From Eric doing unwanted things to her and then to loved one's verbal abuse.

She was seeing it all.

The serums injected in her system have now turned her to a phase of doubts. Did Eric really love her? Who really was her siblings? Did Lilly jump the chasm? Or was it just an illusion.

The questions would creep all around her mind.

As a wise man said (or sang in his case)

I've been thinking in my bed, I've been thinking in my bed.

A lot of things in my head

Contemplating in my head

- Trevor Moran

But all was lost for Stormy for everything now confused her now worn out mind.

But there was only one thing left to do,

Hope

However, everything runs out at a certain period of time.

Stormy's POV

The door quietly creaks, signaling that it's about to shut, signaling that my torture is over.

I slightly winced as I managed to get on my feet. Quickly I sprinted towards the door of my room and pushed my foot out, making the door abruptly stop. It slightly creaks as I opened it with my foot. After closing it, I followed the pathway Tony and Jason went through.

Abruptly, I stopped as soon as their loud footsteps came to a halt.

"You really are crazy," Jason stated while looking at his sister. Tony rolled her eyes as I mufflers my chuckle. I've been here for quite some time, but the siblings and their quarrels never get old.

"This is so unfair! He still loves her..." Tony now broke into a rant about how this 'her' was now stealing her lover. I wasn't dumb, I put two and two together to see that 'her' was me.

This was usually what Tony bickered about. I now knew that she despised me only because of Eric...pretty ignorant isn't it? She could hate me for much other reasons, but no, she chose this one reason.

She kept ranting and ranting which honestly bore me to death. All her words meant nothing, except one.

"If only she knew this much about Eric," Jason chuckles.

"I guess her soft bad boy had more secrets than she thinks," Teddy says, also chuckling.
I contemplated on their words. What did I not know about Eric that was so grave.

"Well, I must go check on her," Teddy says with a smile at the end, which was very odd on Teddy's play.

"Oh, how is Holly?" He asked.

Holly?

They continued to chat about this 'Holly' as I continued to wonder who this new character was. I cautiously watched their body actions. They seemed...light and carefree about this person, which was really unusual coming from the two people who Tortured me for the past...i don't know, 11 months?

Suddenly a rush of cold hair hit me like a train. I furiously shivered at this sudden temperature change. A quick flash went towards my eyes. It was bitch black, just for a millisecond, and then everything was back to normal.

However I knew what this meant.

I needed to get back fast.

My breath hitches in my throat as my legs picked up their pace and sped towards my quarters.

"Get her!" A guard shouted.

My distance from them was a good 20 feet away.

Right. Left. Left. Right.

Quickly I ripped open the door and pushed myself in.
My breath suddenly became heavy and I forced myself to fall on my knees.
My heart was heavily pounding where it felt like multiple punches where thrown my way.

I immediately familiarized the sensation that I've been feeling everyday...almost for a total of 365 days.

Welcome to insanity.

That was when the pounding was coming down to a steady pace. the punches that where thrown now came to a sudden halt. The intense breathing I felt now came to an end.
I refused to believe it was done though. It was as though it was the calm before the storm.

Sweat drenched my brow and neck as I slowly got up. Everything in the room looked normal, too normal.

My legs took me towards the glass window.

The two guards from before where now replaced with...Zeke and Uriah. They weren't just normal Zeke and Uriah, their bodies looked broken down and torn. Their hair was ruffled and a substance that resembled of blood covered them here and there.

I only did the one thing I could do.............

Scream.

Four's POV

"But I want. To. Come," Noor growled. I gave her a look as though telling her to shut her mouth before i shut her mouth for her

This girl was pricking each of my nerves. After many persuasions from Lilly and Lucas, she finally stepped down.
I gave her a smug look, meaning I had won.

My eyes adverted from the teenage mother towards Tris who was helping fresh new set of Dauntless for the fight. My lips slightly twitched as I saw all the fresh members obey her orders out of pure fear.

"You hear me?" She shouted to the crowd.

"Yes Six!" They say in unison while saluting her. I chuckled before turning towards another group.

"What's going on here?" I asked.

"We set up the coordinates where each soldier would be located," Will instantly speaks up. He then bites his lip, as though refraining from telling me something.

"But?" I persist at his hesitation.

"She could be anywhere," he tells me.

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"He means that she could be anywhere in Erudite's massive compound," Christina interjects. I nodded gruffly before walking away.

Everything was going according to plan. Will, Christina, Michael, and Zeke will work mostly on the technology role of this plan.

Surprisingly, Melissa had volunteered to help with weaponry. I was very skeptical at first-doesn't mean I stopped my assumptions- but somehow, Tris managed to convince me to let her on board.

So now, Uriah, Lynn, Marlene helped teach another group of soldiers weaponry while Melissa added a few comments here and there.

Tris, Lilly, and Luke where training the fresh members of Dauntless. I was honestly proud and had some sympathy for these people. The new members haven't even been here for an official week and they where now preparing to fight for someone they didn't know.

What surprised was that all of these new soldiers where mostly made up of transfers. There where a few Dauntless born, but the transfers overpowered them.

I was proud in their bravery. Often during breaks, they anticipated a story of one of Stormy's many challenges she had faced or acts of true bravery.

No, that wasn't a tear, I had something in my eye.

"Okay! Time for break!" I shout over everyone's voice.

Just as the new members and soldiers scurry away, only the eight of us where left.

"Anything new?" I asked them with a monotone voice.
They all shook their heads making me frustrated.

"You all are dismissed," I tell them before stalking off towards the punching bags. All of their footsteps echoed further and further away from here.

I took in the room where everyone was training. This wasn't the training center of course, we would of been easily caught if we used that place.

This place was the Dauntless warehouse. All we had to do was place all the training equipment and other important things down here.

I was majorly concerned on the turnouts if we do get Stormy. Would she still be the same? Would they find out she was divergent? Did that punk...touch her?

The last though infuriated me to the point where I couldn't bottle it up anymore. I took a swing at the punching bag that was resting in front of me. Another swing, another.

Back, forth, back, forth...

All of my anger and worries where balled up into each punch and thrown at the bag.

Suddenly, an icy cold hand was placed on my shoulder, making me stop abruptly. I turned around ready to snap at the person, but I didn't.

"Tris," I breathed out.
She gave me a soft smile which made my heart melt. I was falling for her...hard.

"So," Stormy starts as she skipped along side of me. "You and the stiff?"

I rolled my eyes at her.

"So, you and the leader?" I mocked. This time, she rolled her eyes.

"Don't change the subject...I see the way you look at her," she states while smiling like an idiot.

"What makes you say that?" I ask keeping my face void of emotion. Yet I still felt an I atrial heat rush to my face.

"I see the way you look at her!" Stormy exclaims. "You'll get married and you tie eachother's shoe laces and do some non stuff things," she add with a wink towards the end.

For the first time in a while, I laughed. She was probably the only one (the only girl) who brought it out of me.

I inwardly smiled at the memory.
For a while I hadn't realized it, but Stormy was right. I was falling for Tris, but she caught me.

"You don't have to do this." I say after a while. She ignored my words and continued to wrap gauze around my bloody knuckles.

After she finished, I took a hold of her chin and looked deep into her majestic blue orbs. They reminded me so much of Stormy's eyes, except Stormy's where a darker blue, just like mine.

"Well get her back, Tobias." She told me quietly.

"I'm worried about her," I murmured while looking down at our intwined hands. Tris kisses my cheek and leans our foreheads together.

As much as I didn't show it...I was nervous. The outcomes of Stormy coming back could be very grave. Dauntless hasn't been the same since her...agreement. This could possibly bring a massive feud between Dauntless and Erudite.

That was the least of my worries...

I was getting my sister back

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<>> (A/N) poor Stormy :(
