(A/N: if you haven't read my previous Authors Note, go read it because it had a small little bonus chapter for 'Made of Steel)

I sat against the wall of Erudite, resting my head against its smooth surface.

Suddenly a soft letter was coming towards my direction. I lifted my head to see Jason Matthew coming towards me.

"What do you want nose?" I snapped at him. I instantly felt regret wash over me when I saw the way he flinched.

"I just wanted to talk," he says cautiously as though I would bite his head off any second. I just about to apologize before remembering that he was the son of Jennine Matthews and brother of Tony and Teddy Matthews

"Mind if it sit?" He asked awkwardly while nodding towards the seat beside me. Well, it wasn't really a seat. I was sitting in a middle of an abandoned hallway.

I nodded before fiddling with the necklace I was giving to by Evelyn. Hey, she may have abandoned my life and sketchy-ly came back to it, but she was still my mother.

"Why did you flinch when my mother stood up?" He asked, bringing me out of my thoughts. I was taken aback by his sudden question before remembering that he was Erudite. Curiosity is a general characteristic for them.

"Are you also?" He whispered.

The first word that came into my mind was divergent. But I didn't say anything, yet.

"What do you mean?"

He fiddled nervously with the hem of his shirt. Before I could snap at him for doing such a thing, he began to talk again.

"Are you also abused?"

Also?

I was at cross roads by now. One road was towards believing this story, and the other was too slap him for making up such a story.

He basically just told me his life story. How do I respond to that?

There wasn't really a reason for him to lie. Then again, there wasn't a reason for him to tell the truth either.

Tears brimmed his eyes as he sniffed and looked down. I had no idea how to deal with this situation. His eyes adverted behind me before engulfing me into a hug.

Awkwardly, I patted his back before pulling away.

"Uh-um-it'll be alright..." I say awkwardly not knowing what to really say.

He gave me a small smile before blushing. Suddenly loud footsteps where heard behind me. I turned around to see a fuming Eric.

"Excuse me Jason," he spats. Eric grabs my wrist tightly before pulling me away.

His steel grip tightened by the second.

"Eric your hurting me," I whimpered. I was disgusted at how weak I sounded. His grip loosened but it was still strong.

Eric was acting more aggressive than he normally was. I was confused yet determined to find out why.

Eric turned us towards a deserted hallway before giving me a hard gaze.

"Why did he touch you?" He growled. My cold gaze softened when I realized how it looked like.

"He was talking about an issue he had," I told him softly. His eyes still held and intimidating coldness which started to scare me.

"Why you?" He spat. I shrugged, not knowing what to say.

"He's been through what we've been through" I told him ever so quietly. "You know how much it hurts'

Now, his gaze softened. He suddenly pulled me into an embrace.

"Sorry for acting all..." he trails off.

"Jealous" I finished with an amused tone.

'Yeah' he muttered before crashing his lips onto mine. Recurrently I kissed back, embracing the Eric I knew and loved.
We pulled away and rested our foreheads against each other's.

"Your mine, Princess," he murmurs.

"All yours"

"This is so unfair!" Lilly shouted while plopping down on the scarily blue duvet.

I shook my head and sat down on my own disturbing looking bed. "Why do we have to say here again?" I groaned.

Jeanine insisted we stay over for the night because there will be a faction banquet along with something that 'important' she needed to show us.
Simultaneously we groaned at the lack of Dauntlesn-ness in this place.

"You know what we should do?" I say suddenly as I sat up.
Lilly looked up at me expectantly.

"We should prank some Noses," I say with a mischievous smirk.
Lilly shares my expression.

"I knew you would say that

"I can't believe you did that!" Lilly exclaims before locking our door shut.

"I've done this before, remember?" I said laughing. Her eyes narrowed at the memory.

"My hair was pink for a week," she muttered making me laugh even more.

"Eric's was red for two," I managed to choke out. Eric's face was priceless that time. Lilly then joined in on the laughter.

I fell onto the my bed and stared up the the ceiling.

We pulled my oh so classical prank. Putting hair dye in the shower system. Lilly apparently knew that I wanted to pull a prank so she came prepared.

"I'm gonna hit the sack," Lilly says while tossing herself into the sheets.

I replied with a goodnight before touching the contents in my pocket

Who's ready for an adventure?
