Chapter Five~Chara

Alphys was eager to try this new project.

Surprisingly, Chara's body was still intact. Alphys hypothesizes it's because of monster magic, but she's not sure. Sans, Frisk, and Flowey were waiting in the lab. Alphys had created an artificial soul, and nobody knew if Alphys was successful or not. Soon Alphys came out of the room she was doing her work in.

"Y- You can come in now," She said with her classic stutter. Frisk stood up, holding Flowey's pot. Sans reluctantly stood as well. The group went just outside the room.

"were you successful?" Sans asked. Alphys smiled a little and nodded. She opened the door, and there was someone sitting on a bed, arms crossed. Her eyes were bright red, and she wore a green and yellow striped shirt. Her brown hair went a little below her shoulders, and her skin was as pale as the moon. Frisk and Flowey went inside first. Flowey widened his eyes, and smiled a little.

"H- Hey Chara..." He greeted quietly. Chara looked up at him. Frisk smiled a little and walked over. He sat next to her. Sans was in the doorway, watching with narrowed eyes. He didn't trust Chara one bit.

"I'm Frisk," Frisk greeted with a smile.

"Why are you so damn nice?" Chara muttered under her breath.

"Because everyone deserves kindness." Frisk stated. This was the most he's ever spoken. Frisk looked over at Sans. "Call Toriel?" He asked. Sans froze a little. He knew that if he told Toriel that Chara was now alive, she'd want her to live with them. Frisk gave Sans a stern look, and he sighed and called her up. Toriel arrived quickly and widened her eyes when she saw Chara.

"Ch- Chara...?" Toriel asked quietly. She couldn't believe this. How was she alive?

"H- Hey." Chara said quietly. Toriel smiled and walked over, and hugged Chara tightly. Chara froze a little, and hugged back. Frisk and Flowey smiled. Sans crossed his arms. After a while Toriel let go, smiling wide.

"I'm so glad you're back!" Toriel exclaimed happily. Chara smiled.

"I am too." She lied.
