Chapter Seventeen~Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

Frisk, Chara, and Flowey were currently at Alphys's lab. The dinosaur monster was stunned by the sight of Flowey, seeming to remember something. She looked him over, then something surprised her even more.

She made his soul glow.

It was nearly complete, only one little fragment needed to complete the classic White upside down heart that made up the appearance of a monster soul. Flowey...

Was sobbing the whole time.

In between sobs, one could hear him blubbering the words 'sorry' and 'feeling many feelings'. Chara felt bad, as did Frisk. Alphys took Flowey into a room to find a way to make his soul grow quicker.

And... She did.

Miraculously, the way to do so was quite easy. Chara came into the room, and Alphys left the two alone.

After around fifteen minutes...

FLASH!

There was a blinding light, and Asriel was standing where Flowey was. He was smiling, still crying, and it was debatable on whether his tears were happy or still sad. Chara hugged him tightly.

Looks like that, with enough time spent with those he loved, a soul could manifest and grow.
