MIK 57

57: Leaving you.

Finally the day came in a blink of an eye much to Minho's dismay; Jisung would be leaving for America by one in the morning as it would be a suitable time for him to take a journey in America.

Minho let out another sigh, feeling totally dejected with the thought as he stared at one of the staff – who was explaining their plans for a new survival show– absent mind.

"The teams will be divided into P01 and P02 and these teams have to showcase their individual vocal, performance and lyrical skills to determine their ranks as…" Minho once again zoned out, thinking about Jisung.

How would the younger one survive alone without any one's help in a country that he hasn't been to before? Jisung was not that good when it came to speaking a foreign language, so wouldn't it be hard for him to understand the language when the language barrier is strong?

"... the finalists will be officially introduced as the next group in KNTV under the group name ZerotoOne. This is the plan, Sir." Minho blinked his eyes. In the midst of worrying about Jisung, he forgot that the meeting was important.

He leaned against the chair, rubbing his forehead. " Let me check the program details once again. I will let you know the results in an hour. Good work everyone. Meeting dismissed." The staff got up, exiting the meeting room.

" Here is the minute of the meeting." His Secretary said handing the file, noticing that their boss was once again zoning out.

"Are you okay, Sir?" Minho nodded.

Minho pointed at the chair beside him, "Please sit down." His Secretary sat down on the chair, hesitatingly.

"What do you think about their plan?"

"It's an excellent plan, Sir. However I do think ninety-two participants are a bit too much since there will be around 12 people who could actually debut." The Secretary paused and scratched their nape in embarrassment. "Sorry for rambling, Sir."

Minho nodded, looking at the file, "I'm giving you the responsibility of this program." He said, taking a glance at his panicking secretary.

"Also, arrange a meeting for a brief introduction about the costs."

"But… Sir? Do you think I will be able to do this? What if I mess up?" The Secretary was too shocked by Minho's behaviour. Even though they were a secretary who was keen to do these type of works, Minho never once let them do it as Minho was a perfectionist when it came to work, so he tried hard to avoid possible errors, so this was an absolute surprise for the secretary.

Minho smiled.

"I know you won't." The Secretary smiled.

"Thank you for giving me the opportunity, Sir."

"Oh? You didn't finish packing?" Jisung stopped what he was doing and looked up to see Minho near the door, still in his office attire. Jisung left the clothes behind and immediately ran towards the elder, hugging him tightly making Minho happy.

"I thought you won't be there at the airport." Said Jisung, breaking the hug with a small pout making Minho's heart melt with his husband's whining. He placed a small peck over Jisung's forehead, patting his back with a grin.

"Can't miss my husband's special day." Jisung grinned, turned around and started packing the rest of the things, meanwhile Minho decided to take a quick shower.

Disturbing thoughts were all Minho could think of under the shower head as the water trickled down his body, calming him down for a moment only for it to get replaced with another set of unsettling thoughts.

America was a place of immense opportunities for migrants, but at the same time it was dangerous. Surely, Korea was no different but the difference was that he and his secret helpers were there to watch Jisung whereas in America it was a different story.

If it wasn't for the fact that Jisung was a quick-witted person, he would have immediately dug into the details and contacted the authorities to give him the job, however if he would have done that Jisung would have taken actions to the point he would divorce Minho. That shit was scary.

Jisung was already dressed by the time Minho came out of the washroom. Minho noticed the comparatively big luggage laying beside the younger who was currently typing a message to his best friends who were sending him wishes to ace the exam.

Jisung glanced up and saw Minho. " You… Why aren't you dressed up? Come on, get ready. We have to reach the airport one hour before the actual time." Minho shook his head, letting out a mocking cough as he started getting dressed up.

"I told you to take the private jet."

"No thanks, I'm a normal citizen." Minho grinned, leaning forward, his face coming closer to Jisung's who looked at him with the same mischievous expression.

"Even after you are married to a world star?"

"Even if I am married." Jisung laughed out loud when Minho started peppering his face with kisses, making him feel ticklish. Minho chuckled, stopping his actions, but not before leaving a small peck over Jisung's forehead affectionately.

"Stop." Jisung giggled, slapping Minho's arms, who let out a fake hiss afterwards laughing as he started to button up the shirt he was wearing.

"Did you check everything?" Jisung nodded, waving his phone, grinning widely.

"I have made a list two days before." Minho, however, didn't respond as he watched Jisung's grinning face glowing with happiness which made Minho realise that his sacrifice and decision would be worth it.

I am going to miss you.

Soon after some minutes later, they left the villa for airport along with Minho's driver. Jisung was still chatting with his friends occasionally sending messages to his parents who gave him well wishes whereas Minho was looking outside the car window, getting sadder as the distance to airport shortened.

Jisung stopped typing when he noticed that Minho hadn't been talking since the time they left the villa. He glanced at the side, noticing the atmosphere around Minho being gloomy unlike the teasing and happy filled one. Jisung calmly placed the phone over his lap.

"I am trying my best to make the atmosphere light," He calmly said, grabbing Minho's attention, "and there is you!"  He snapped, making Minho flinch.

"Why are you looking depressed? Did someone say you are old and not handsome?"

"H-Hey!" Minho's voice wavered at the sudden shock he received from Jisung. "That's offensive!"

"As if I care." Jisung mocked, feeling happy that Minho was responding with his usual cranky remarks. He looked outside, hearing Minho muttering words which made him smile.

By the time they reached the airport there were only a few people which wasn't that surprising considering it was already midnight. Minho's driver helped Jisung in the luggages arranged in the trolley.

"We are on time." Said Jisung, when the driver left them both alone to give privacy," But it's already time for me to check in." He let out a huff in annoyance since there won't be any time for him to chat with the elder. He looked beside him and saw Minho holding the tickets in his hands.

"Here." Jisung grabbed the tickets, staring at the letters blankly. He wanted to say something, but at the same time he couldn't after getting a glimpse of the elder who looked like a kicked out puppy.

It's not like it's my first time going out. He thought, however he knew for a fact that it was his first time where someone he loved sent him off to a place, and that too that someone was whom he hated in the past.

Oh, how the tables have turned.

"I'm leaving then." He exclaimed, hugging Minho, and he felt it. The trembling giant figure, crashing into his arms for a bear hug, picking him up making Jisung panic. Thank goodness that Minho was wearing a mask otherwise there would have been headlines all over the internet by the next day.

Minho broke the hug when he realised that the time was ticking, he glanced at Jisung who looked at him with a small smile. Minho smiled for the sake of his husband's happiness and patted his shoulder.

"Do ace your exams." Jisung smiled widely as he happily nodded. They shared a hug once more before Jisung turned on his heels walking away, as Minho watched him leave.

Jisung paused on his tracks, making Minho confused when the latter immediately turned around. Jisung saw Minho standing there, looking at him longingly, the elder's shoulders slumped.

Without giving another thought, Jisung ran towards the elder –leaving his luggages behind– and took him for another hug and if it wasn't for Minho's fast reflex, both of them would have planted their bodies on the platform.

Jisung pulled away without breaking the hug, and kissed the elder through his mask, making Minho's eyes widen.

"I will miss you." Thousands of firecrackers exploded in Minho as he heard the words which carried a tone of affection. Jisung pulled away, walking backwards with a smile.

"Wait for me, okay?" Minho nodded, waving his hands as he watched Jisung check in with a smile.

"I will." Minho muttered to no one.
