MIK 53

53: Reunion.

"Merry Christmas, Aunty!" Jeongin exclaimed, hugging Mrs.Han excitedly, who hugged him back with the same enthusiasm.

The Lee family has joined the Han family for the celebration as per Minho's request, but the said person wasn't present at the moment, saying that he will be picking Jisung from his grandmother's house.

Mrs.Han invited the family inside, greeting each and everyone. Mr.Han hugged Mr.Lee, both of them walking away from the hall, discussing something among each other in whispers.

"Merry Christmas, Jane." Said Mrs.Lee, patting her friend's shoulder since she was holding Minho's three pet cats.

"Merry Christmas, Nayeon."  Jane exclaimed, smiling. Both the ladies started heading towards the kitchen, helping each other in making the dishes for dinner. Meanwhile, the other young couple stayed seated over the sofa in the hall, looking at Avantanza – who was playing a random game on the hand phone – in a daze

"Shouldn't we tell them today?" Jeongin asked, looking at Chan who sighed, smiling softly.

"We should."

"But, how? It's been months since the surrogacy has been kept hidden and we will be becoming parents anytime soon,so wouldn't they be hurt and disappointed since we kept it hidden all this time?" Jeongin asked, his voice laced with concern and worry. Chan hugged the male close to him and hummed in wonder.

"Maybe? But at the moment let's hope for the best." Jeongin nodded, snuggling close to his husband with a sigh. The moment got interrupted when the doorbell rang, the sound echoing through the house.

"I will get it!" Avatanza yelled, announcing about her actions with a loud exclaim – making the couple near her to hiss at the loud voice– she skipped excitedly towards the door, opening it welcoming the other couple, Minho and Jisung with a wide grin.

"Jisung Oppa Minho Oppa are here!" As if the family were waiting to hear the couple's name, the people inside came dashing towards the door, taking the couple into a group hug, startling the males.

"Merry Christmas!" The couple laughed at the enthusiasm, wishing them back with the same energy. They broke the hug as Avatanza closed the door behind, happy chatters started filling in the Han family.

"Why were you both late?" Mr.Lee asked, making the couple throw a subtle glance at each other, embarrassment covering the tip of their ears.

"Jisung was talking with the neighbouring aunty non stop so we lost track of time." Minho replied immediately, but in his mind he was reminded about the hot makeout session he and his husband shared at the house which was the actual reason to lose track of time.

Jisung glanced over at his parents who were looking at Minho with a smile, which made him happy. He walked towards them, startling the older couple at their son's sudden presence. They stood there in silence, staring at each other for a solid second until Jisung took them into his arms, crashing them into a warm hug, surprising the older couple.

Minho smiled knowing that Jisung finally got to know the truth, watching the parents hugging Jisung back tightly. The Lee family watched the heart swelling moment with a smile.

"Merry Christmas, Ma, Pa." Jisung softly said, breaking the hug as he kissed his parents' forehead making Mrs.Han emotional. She hugged him, softly crying which made Jisung pat her head, his father hugging both him and his mother.

"What a beautiful sight." Minho exclaimed, making Jisung and his parents break the hug apart, chuckling with dry tears still over their face. Mr.Han rubbed his wife's face, removing the tear stains away, making Minho have the urge to do that to Jisung.

Before Mr.Han could rub Jisung's tears away, Minho reached out, removing his tears quickly, making everyone laugh at the couple's antics while the said couple stood there in embarrassment.

"Kids these days." Mr.Lee exclaimed, shaking his head, chuckling along with Mr.Han. "Let's have dinner shall we?" Everyone nodded at Mrs.Han's words.

Shortly after they were greeted with delicious foods, making their mouths water with the aroma. They dug in, savouring the taste and a burst of satisfaction touched their mouth making them feel happy.

"Aunty! You are such a great cook. They are so delicious." Said Jeongin enthusiastically, taking more curry rice in his spoon.

"I know, right? She has always made mouth watering dishes." Jisung complemented his mother, making Jisung's parents shocked especially Mrs.Han who felt very much happy to hear her son praise her cooking. He has never complimented her after his marriage, so this felt almost foreign to her.

The table got filled with laughter and talking, occasionally praising Mrs.Han's cooking skills, but they were short lived until the first couple interrupted the table making everyone go silent and throw their attention towards them.

Jeongin was slightly shaking in nervousness. He doesn't want his in-laws to get disappointed with their secret decision, that won't do anything good for them as they both love the said parents so much.

"Ma, Pa, we have something to tell you." Said Chan, holding Jeongin's hands from under the table, squeezing it to reassure him. Jisung and Minho glanced at each other already knowing what it was about.

"Oh, what is it, son?" Mr.Lee questioned, patiently waiting for a response from his oldest son.

Chan felt a slight pressure over his hands, signalling that Jeongin was getting extremely anxious about the situation when the atmosphere around them was as light as feather, but Chan knows Jeongin as someone who takes people's words into his sensitive heart and carries it around for years, so the older has to be careful.

"We are going to be fathers." A loud cling sound was heard when the spoon from Mrs.Lee's hand, fell over the plate in shook, Mr.Lee and the Han family was looking at the males in utter surprise, but slowly it was gone when Mrs.Han let out a loud sequel snapping the elders from their shocked state.

"Oh my! Oh my goodness! I am going to be a grandmother!" Mrs.Lee stood from her seat, rushing towards the other side of the table – where Chan and Jeongin were seated – and sat on the floor grabbing them for a hug. All the elders smiled, congratulating them on becoming parents.

"So you guys knew it before?" Mr.Lee asked, noticing that the siblings and Jisung were sitting on their seats, motionlessly as if the news wasn't anything new for them.

"They know." Said Jeongin, after pulling himself  from the bone crushing hug of his mother in law.

"So adoption or surrogacy?" Asked Mrs.Lee, looking at the males expectantly.

"Surrogacy."

"Who is the donor?" This time Mr.Han asked.

"Both of us. We actually opted for two surrogates."

"What!" Everyone yelled at the same time, making the couple flinch at the voices. The siblings and Jisung were the few people that were too shocked with the news. They didn't know that the couple were trying surrogacy under two people.

"So I will be having two grandchildren!?" Mrs.Lee squealed, but was immediately asked to calm down by her husband. She huffed and stood up, going round the table, taking a seat beside her husband, who patted her shoulder.

"Actually, three. Fraternal twins and a boy." The couple waited for the people to get their minds sunk in with the information as they were indirectly trying to let them know that the process had been taken down before they revealed the news.

"Wait a second." Mr.Lee exclaimed, " Both of you already know how many kids you are going to have and their gender?" The couple slowly nodded, making him blink his eyes as his brain short circuited." So since when?"

The couple looked at eachother, then at the elders, " Ah we will be having them by the first week of February."

"That's when my birthday is!" Exclaimed Jisung out of nowhere and Minho mentally facepalmed at the off topic. Well Jisung was well aware of that, but he wanted the upcoming tense atmosphere to lighten up.

Mr.Lee stared at the couple blankly, making them sweat buckets in nervousness. " So you both were hiding this for what?"

"We weren't hiding it, Pa." Said Chan,

" A few months back there was a high chance of infertility from the twins' mother and the doctor said it would happen in cases if the donor's sperm is weak, so we didn't want to tell you guys without any progress."

"So we thought about informing you guys once we are confident enough to say that the babies are fine." This time Jeongin said, supporting his husband's words.

"So…" Suddenly Mrs.Lee hissed in anger, interrupting her husband.

"Aish stop with your interrogation, old man."

"What…"

"Shut up! Let's celebrate this news with wine!"
_______________

"Well that escalated quite well."  Said Jisung, sliding the glass door open as the husbands stepped out to the balcony of Jisung's bedroom. Jisung felt sneaky arms wrapping around his waist, pulling him closely towards a hard surface, making him glance up at his side to see Minho, whose eyes were looking down at him.

Jisung smiled at the sneaky elder and moved even more closer to feel the body heat. Both the husbands closed their eyes, giving in to the moment, marking it in their memories.

"What do you think about having kids?" Jisung opened his eyes, tilting head as he felt Minho's warm breath over the nape of his neck.

"I do want one." Jisung took a short pause, gathering his words, "but not at the moment. I first want us to settle down and if we both have time to take care of our kid. I don't want them to be neglected in their childhood."

Our kid. Oh how much the husbands wanted that label to happen, but as much as they wanted it to happen in reality they both knew that they were too busy to be on that stage. Becoming parents comes with responsibility.

"Jisung?" Jisung hummed, staring at the sky, watching the clouds shining under the moonlight. "Do you regret marrying me?" Jisung moved his body around Minho's arms, hugging the male by wrapping his arms around Minho's neck.

"I did in the beginning." Jisung smiled, "but not anymore. I know you felt the same." He giggled, making Minho chuckle. He pulled the younger, leaving a small peck over Jisung's forehead, making him sigh at the feeling.

They slowly swayed their body, as if they were dancing to music, but the irony was there was no music playing out loud, instead it was the music from their heart which was playing oh so rhythmically, matching with their secret desire which only the both of them know.

Suddenly, loud explosive sounds were heard along with some flashy light which made them look up at the sky, greeting them with the impressive display of fireworks. It was an unforgettable sight as they exploded in the sky – twirling and going around in spirals – glitters and colours. It was quite dazzling to watch as some of the fireworks shot straight up before exploding, while others quickly shattered into thousands of sparks.

"Wow." That was the only remark Jisung could make at the moment. Sure enough he has watched the fireworks for an unhealthy amount of times, but all those moments appeared clearly worthless at the present.

He has someone to share the beautiful picture with.

"Jisung." Jisung broke his gaze away from the fireworks and paid his attention to his husband who stared at him with the most beautiful galaxies in his eyes, making Jisung feel like his whole body was on fire when the atmosphere was as cold as ice.

"Once you are back from America, let's get married." Jisung blinked his eyes, looking at Minho in bewilderment as he tilted his head in a daze.

"Huh? But we are already married…"

"Not in this way." Minho placed his forehead over Jisung's, staring straight at the younger's eyes making Jisung's heart go crazy.

"I want the whole world to know that this, Made in Korea titled man is no longer available."

"But what about this? Don't we have to tell them that we are already married?" Minho shook his head, leaving a small peck over Jisung's lips.

"They don't have to know everything about us."
