MIK 1
1: First Meeting
When the fuck does this end?
"And... Cut! Good work, Mr. Lee! Your acting is amazing as usual!" Minho forced out a smile, waving his hands in acknowledgment.
"I have to go early. Let's stop the shoot here." Declaring this, Minho exited the shooting set without waiting for the director's words, and the poor manager ran behind a speed-walking Minho.
The crew members shrugged while the director sighed, already immune to Minho's sudden mood swings, "Everyone, pack up!" The director's voice boomed through the set. Everyone jumped into its hectic chaos as they began packing up their things. A series of gossip circulated in the room as usual but there were two people who shared an interesting topic.
Lee Minho.
"Don't you think that actor Minho is rude to go in between the shootings?" A young man asked, helping the lady staff in picking up the items. She paused, looking at the man with raised eyebrows.
"Are you a new hireling?" The boy hesitantly nodded, "No wonder you asked the question to which everyone knows the answer." The man glanced at her, feeling perplexed with her response.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, that's Lee Minho for you. He carries and controls the entire film industry on his pinky finger. We are used to this treatment of his, so it's not surprising."
"But still... Isn't that rude?"
"Well, listen here," Her sudden exclamation so out of the box which startled the younger, "If you don't want to get fired by Sir Minho, then you better shut your mouth."
"But I was appointed by the director of this movie," The young man replied, feeling wronged for something he didn't do. She smirked.
"Well, the great Lee Minho we know won't even hesitate to destroy the director's life, so whom will the director prefer? A normal man or a superstar?" The boy didn't say anything further, making her smirk more.
"Well, that's your answer. Now help me pick those bags."
While the said actor was inside his SUV car, looking out the window calmly. He looked down at his lap, watching his cat sleep soundly. All of a sudden, he exclaimed,
"Soobin, go to the nearby veterinary clinic." Minho ordered his driver, who nodded in acknowledgment, while Minho's manager looked at him, confusedly speaking out,
"Ah, Mr.Lee, we didn't book any appointments."
"Well, no need for that; I thought about showing him now, so they should check him now too," Minho said coldly while petting his sleepy pet softly.
Yeonjun, Minho's manager, nodded, not asking anything further.
There is no use in arguing. He thought, looking at the spacing out actor.
Somewhere in Lotus Veterinary Clinic.
"Dr. Jisung, is your shift over?" Lee Nam, the receptionist, asked as she watched the younger man scroll through the phone, walking towards where Nam was.
He removed the white coat, placed it inside his black office bag, and slung it over his shoulder.
"My shift isn't over yet; there are still 5 more minutes." Jisung answered back, examining his digital watch, "But I have to pack my clothes to go home. I took the day off for 4 days, and there aren't any more appointments." Ms. Nam nodded, smiling.
"Well, have a nice evening!" She exclaimed enthusiastically.
"Thanks, Noona." Jisung let out, waving his hands as he went from the reception area, still typing something.
Mom
When are you coming back?
Hannie <3
Soon mom. I have to pack some more clothes.
Mom
Okay, call us when you leave.
Hannie <3
Okay, mom, but there is a doubt. What's the occasion?
Mom
You will know soon. :)
He was about to respond when he suddenly bumped into someone, which resulted in his phone collapsing into the white-tiled hospital floor. He gathered it up and glimpsed at it, seeing a big scratch on the screen.
He looked up to see someone in a jet-black jacket leaving without saying an apology.
"Hey you, jacket guy! Don't you have eyes?" Jisung yelled at the man who stopped on his track.
Minho turned around and looked at Jisung with raised eyebrows, thinking the latter would shut up, after seeing who he was but to his surprise, Jisung didn't stop.
"What are you looking at? Never seen a human before?" Minho glared at the man in anger.
"I have the same question for you. Don't you have eyes? Also, don't yell at me with that attitude. You will regret it."
Jisung drew his brows up. "Tsk, just who are you, old man?"
"What did you say?" Minho asked, making the veterinarian roll his eyes.
"So grumpy; no wonder you are an old man," Jisung said, waving his hands, making Minho even angrier.
"You... " Before they both could start again, Ms. Nam rushed to the scene, hearing the commotion happening outside.
"Dr. Jisung, what's happening?" Nam paused, her eyes widening in fear. " Mr.Lee?" She let out a scared mumble.
Jisung looked at her with anger eclectic with confusion. "Do you know this arrogant man?"
"Mind your language there," Minho said, angrily moving forward while Jisung placed his hand over Minho's chest. They are both the same height, so the scene was a bit scary and fierce.
Seeing this, Ms.Nam got scared and said, "Dr.Jisung! He is Mr.Lee!" Jisung looked at Ms.Nam in anger, but not directed at her but at the person in front of him. He pushed Minho away, surprising Ms.Nam and the actor.
Soonie jumped, hissing loudly, after witnessing his owner being pushed by someone. That's when Ms.Nam caught a glimpse of the orange coloured cat.
"Oh, Sir. Did you come here to check up on your pet?" Minho nodded, still scowling at Jisung, who was equally glaring at him.
How arrogant. Minho thought, then looked at Ms. Nam and said, "I want my cat to be checked thoroughly and see the doctor." Ms.Nam nodded.
Jisung heard the conversation and scoffed.
Who does he think he is? Some royalty? He thought, shaking his head as he tried to switch on the phone.
"Please do wait, sir. Our last doctor..." Ms.Nam paused, glancing at Jisung slightly, then glanced at Minho and said, "Just ended his shift. So you have to wait for Dr.Ken to arrive, Sir." Jisung heard what Ms.Nam said and mentally smirked.
I see, so Mr. Old Man is here without an appointment? Such a good opportunity shouldn't go to waste. Jisung thought, smirking. He looked at them both and slowly turned around.
"I don't have that much time to waste. Where is the last doctor? I want them to check on my cat."
"Hm, Sir..." Ms.Nam stuttered, pointing at Jisung's back, who left the place as he should: "He was the last doctor." Minho glanced at Jisung's fading figure, gritting his teeth.
"Tell him to check up on my cat." Ms.Nam nodded, and at jet speed, she ran towards Jisung, grabbing his wrist.
"What happened, Noona?" Asked Jisung, acting innocent and clueless.
"Mr.Lee wants you to check up on his cat." Jisung slightly looked at Minho, who smirked, thinking Jisung had to do it, but he frowned when he received a smirk in return.
"But I don't remember him taking an appointment." Jisung exclaimed loudly for the latter to hear. "Besides, my duty time is over, so I'm not going to work extra time," He said, darting his eyes at Minho with a sly grin,
"For anyone." The actor looked at him furiously.
"Han!" Ms. Nam whisper-yelled, then smiled awkwardly at Minho, then again looked at the younger, saying, "It's a matter of 10 minutes, since it's a normal checkup." Jisung glanced at the man with a smile.
"Nah, even 10 minutes is important to me. Also, since it's a normal checkup," He trailed off, peeking at Minho. "Why doesn't he make an appointment like everyone else and wait till tomorrow?" He winked, waving his hands at the actor, who was going to explode at any moment.
"You! You will regret rejecting me!"
