Arjun Pov:

It has been a week since I moved to Chennai the city which made millions of dreams true I tried to convince the family about me moving alone but everyone were strictly against my idea but I tried my all might to convince them but it gone totally waste in front of the great stubborn Meera

Rekha aunty, krishna uncle (Meera's parents)  and Rishi (Meera's brother) are so welcoming and never let me feel like a guest and well about Meera after the confession and her newly found love story I consoled my heart and now she's the best friend I could ever ask for

"Arjuuunnn!!!!!  Look what I got" Screamed Meera running towards my room

"Woah girl stop shouting around the house people may go def with your loud noise" I said closing my ears she playfully punched my shoulder

"Get ready we're gonna watch movie and then shopping" Batting her eye lashes innocently

"Uhmm why suddenly" I asked when I saw Rishi waving his hands gesturing something

"Just like that I'm kind of bored" She turn towards Rishi and yelled "what the hell is problem when I asked you to join me you said your not coming now when I ask Arjun to join me you brainwashing him go away idiot" She screamed at Rishi who ran away saving his life and gulped seeing the angry avatar

"So you getting ready or not" She said giving a deadly smile

Watching movie with her is fun we both together watched the new  Annabel movie and made some funny comments when I thought everything is going fine there came a plot twist
THE SHOPPING we have been to every single shop in the mall yet she didn't find a dress for the past two hours

"Did you find anything in here" I asked hoping to get an yes but as usual she shook her head negatively at one side I felt totally bad for Rahul so I asked her

"Hey why you didn't bring Rahul" I asked her as she's been hanging out with him daily when the time we returned

"Oh that idiot is going out with his mom to some family gathering" She said fiddling with her phone

"Ohh, so are we returning home" I asked hoping to get a positive reply but how can I expect something like that from the great Meera

"Nope actually... Wait a minute" She said running towards a shop where we went a few minutes back

"Hey Meera don't run wait for me too" I ran behind her

I'm waiting outside a trial room where she went with a pile of clothes god I should have given some excuse when she asked me to accompany her. In the mean time I went towards the men's section to get me some formal shirt for my work I took 3 shirts and head towards the trial room and I got a call from Rahul

"Hello" I said

"Hey man having fun it seems" He asked me in a mocking tone and I can hear Rishi's voice too

"Oh please don't tell me you both trapped me" I said little annoyed

"Well brother we kind of" They both said together

I jerked off when someone snatched my phone and it's none other than Meera after hearing the conversation from the other side she looked really pissed and looked scarier than Annabelle

"Wait till I come home boys" She said in a sugar coated voice and I know both of them must be gulping in fear

"How am I looking" She asked wearing a yellow kurti

"Hmm good" I said

"Just good" She said with a frown

"No no you look beautiful" I said afraid of going for another round of window shopping in the mall

When we reached home Rahul and Rishi were nowhere to be found so I retired to my room wishing everyone good night

I'm quite nervous as today is a big day finally I'm gonna attend my dream job I dressed in my formal attire I looked towards my childhood picture where I'm holding my dad's hand I wish they all were alive to see me starting my career I hope they're proud of what I'm now

"Arjun come soon you may get late to your office" Rekha aunty called me

"Yeah coming aunty" I said tying my tie

I went out passing Meera's room and to my surprise I couldn't see her on her bed does she woke earlier I thought to myself and went down stairs

"Meera today is your first day to college and you still didn't woke up from your sleepy state" Yelled Rekha aunty

"Maa be happy that I at least took bath and got ready this soon" She said drowsily

"Aunty leave he aside give the chocolate you bought yesterday as it is my first day why not start with sweet" I said looking at Meera who stood up in mentioning chocolate

"Well Mr Arjun stay away from my chocolate be responsible and get going to your work if you don't wanna be late on your first day" She said in a threatening tone

"Arjun you come and have your breakfast if you start argue with her she'll won't let you reach there on time" She said and turned towards Meera "and you if you want to go hungry on your first day of college your most welcomed" Saying this she went towards the kitchen and we both like a obedient kids sat in the dinning table and ate our breakfast silently. After we finished she passed me a box

"What's this I asked" Looking at the box

"Just open it " She said passing a smile

I opened a box and there's a letter and a photo frame of our family with our young self I opened the letter and read "All the best for the new life my friend" My lips curved into a small smile I tried hard not to cry but a tear drop feel without unnoticed

" Thank you " I said emotionally

"Come on don't there's no sorry and thanks between friends" She said and give me friendly hug

Please don't mind the error as I wrote this chapter in my phone and didn't crosscheck yet 😅 and am so emotional that this book reached 200 reads 😁
