MADE FOR MIN IS FINALLY, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT FINISHED!

*insert claps*

This fic was started on December 18th, 2020, and today, August 28th, marks 2 years, 8 months, and 10 days since it came to life. It's been a hot minute since I've managed to close a book completely (I've done one shot fics but a fully fleshed out novel with so many chapters like this one has not been completed in the longest time). I almost forgot how it felt to write, The End, on such a long, arduous journey.

So much in my life has changed during the writing of this story. It's crazy to think I'm closing the door now.

I was in my first year of university when I started this, and now as it ends, I'm starting my final year. Time flies so much, and looking back at the then versus now, I'm quite content with where life has taken me. While writing has not become the focus of me, I've learned about interests I didn't even know that I had. I have gotten the help that I need so that I can manage myself better— was diagnosed with things I didn't even think I could have, and overall, I'm much happier now. With that, I can approach my books in a way that is not just an escape, but also something that is just routine in my life.

I feel like I had to put myself first and get my life together at least to some point before I could continue writing. I didn't want writing to just be something that I did while I was depressed— I wanted it to be something I did because it gives me strength and is not just a crutch for me, and for the longest time it felt like writing was something I did to vent. Yes, I enjoyed it, but I wanted it to be something that I went back to only when I was feeling negative.

Had to have that self growth, y'know?

Made for Min actually used to be a vampire x demigod fic, not SOPE centered at all. It was Namjin. In this fic, Namjoon was the only son of Artemis, and Seokjin was someone who was turned vampire by Selene, and to earn his freedom had to kill Namjoon, Artemis's son. So, the rivalry between Artemis and Selene still existed, it was just in a different font. In the end, they would have lived happily ever after. I wanted to figure something out that could combine everyone— thus I created an imaginary world where the supernatural existed, and there were Purebloods that to me were vampires born not made, along with the rest of the vampire population.

I literally wrote this because I missed writing supernatural stuff. I missed having complicated plots that made you think, writing that left you at the edge of your seat, and it was a growth component for me because I am to be a versatile writer, I just have a lot of commitment issues (I'm trying to work on them please it just be hard with writing BAHAHA).

Originally, I was supposed to write a really heartwrenching multitude of deaths surrounding the Purebloods, before Hoseok would come and save them, but I decided against it. I feel like my book had pushed past that and was now more "We have one more target and we're done", and frankly, I wanted to give them all a break. I was actually going to have Seokjin sacrifice himself, but I was like nah, him aiming to be better is enough.

While this was mostly centered around SOPE, apart from Micah, this also stemmed from Artemis and Selene (our residential lesbian couple). Artemis in my rendition was in love with Selene, and Selene broke her heart, her promise to Artemis, and the last thing you want to do is make a God the laughingstock of anything, so really all of the problems they had were because Artemis's ego was hurt.

Yes, Yeonjun does get his happy ending eventually. It isn't for another couple of centuries though, they had to let the Gwan line re-establish first.

Artemis and Selene will end up on good terms, and eventually make up. As in the epilogue, Artemis does apologize and promised the Purebloods and Hoseok that she wouldn't interfere with them anymore. Yoongi stayed true to his word and helped revitalize Korea, making it so that the Treaty made the way for a unified country of humans and vampires.

Micah wanted to keep the division— eventually, get rid of all the vampires so that only humans would exist. There was no redeeming him, he was the absolute worse. Even in his end, he remained defiant, and care about no one but himself. So, literally, fuck him. He can rot in the Underworld.

Lowkey, I want to do a full demigod AU, that would be so exciting. Like son of Hades, son of Aphrodite, etc. etc. I think it would be whew. I love Greek Mythology, y'all. Anyways lemme not get too ahead of myself.

The rest of 2023 is going to be packed. As many of you guys probably know, and if you don't, I will fill you in right now, but I am on AO3 as well. There are actually more works over there that I have not brought here, and have no real intention to bring them here because then I have to make graphics and stuff and it's just easier for me to only do the complex fics here and AO3, and then the one shots and such can stay over there (plus there are other ships I've written there/will write, while here I want it to be strictly sope, because SOPE DROUGHT FR)

My AO3 is @/ sopepathy, it's a link in my profile too.

Here's what we have in store for the rest of 2023 now that MFM is completed (Wattpad version):

~ Updates for A Clichéd Affair: it's been a year since I've updated that, and I'm going to take the time to fully flesh out everything I want to do. It should be an easy book, but my complex book ass wants to make it complicated, so we won't do that at all. I reread it just the other day, and honestly, guys their dynamic is so funny, I actually love it so I need me some brainrot enemies to lovers sope.

For those who don't know what A Cliched Affair is about here is the blurb:

"❝I'd rather bathe in a bathroom filled with poisonous snakes than to ever say you're my fiancé!❞

❝Oh, you think that's something? I'd rather be burned at the stake than even entertain the thought of marrying you!❞

In efforts to sustain his parent's insatiable greed for money, Hoseok Jung, the troublemaker of Fide High (or free-spirit as he likes to call it), agrees to a blind engagement, with the expectation that his parents will let him do whatever his heart desires.

The only problem?

The one he's to be engaged to be Fide High's notorious student body president, Yoongi Min, the one person Hoseok hates the most."

So, if that sounds like something that would interest you, I'd encourage you to put it in your library (I'm going to be writing it more frequently, I promiseeeee)

~ Updates for Midnight Roses: This is my other ongoing fic, which will also be updated. This is another very complex fic, which kind of like this one, will have you trying to piece everything together. This is a more complex version of 'project heartbreak', so it's a fic that takes me a while because it's me trying to expand my writing and shit (dark romance is very much not my style but versatility!). I love this fic actually, I cannot wait to write more on it (the twists and everything are gonna go crazy)

For those who want the blurb:

❝He sends me golden roses if I'm correct and bloodstained if I'm incorrect.❞

Hoseok's fingers tremble as he opens the compartment filled to the brim with bloodstained white roses. Yoongi's eyes widen a fraction as he leans over it, and he points to the single golden rose that lies above all of Hoseok's failures.

❝What's the one thing you've been right about?❞

❝You.❞

Yoongi Min is a police officer known for his achievements in the Mauve Division, Orande's most elusive police unit. Due to personal reasons, he decides to resign from his job. His colleagues, still enamored with Yoongi, send in Hoseok Jung, their newest hire, to be trained by him in hopes of gaining a newer version of Yoongi.

Hoseok is just how Yoongi expects him to be: bright, naive, and carrying all the right reasons to pursue evil and bring them to justice. The way his eyes gloss over with admiration doesn't help. It's almost as if Hoseok's begging to be used.

Fortunately for Hoseok, Yoongi is more than ready to comply.

After all, what type of criminal doesn't go out of their way to help nurture the newest addition of the police force into the fiercest of weapons?

I will also be releasing something in December 2023, which I cannot talk about yet, but is supposed to be another complex, extra-long fic. I'm actually hoping for it to be a trilogy, and it is the first high fantasy book I will be doing. I'm really excited about this and have written a lot for it already (just because I'm not updating doesn't mean I'm not writing!!)

Of course, I have other works that you can check out in my profile. Lots of plans for 2024 as I transition out of college (in my last year this is so crazy), so expect more activity from me.

Finally, thank you, guys, for sticking by me. I never expected this book to get as much traffic as it did and I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to share my work with people from all over the world. Despite my taking so long: 2 years, 8 months, and 10 days to be exact, to finish Made for Min, none of this would have been possible without all of your continuous support.

We have gone through so much together, and I appreciate every single one of y'all. It is one of the biggest privileges that I have for people like you who take the time to read my books, and while I don't know why, I'm just very glad that you are here on this journey with me. I love you all so so much.

Feel free to reach out if you need anything. I'm always here as a resource!

f you want to come on this journey with me permanently, feel free to follow me so you can stay up to date with everything I do.

Thank you so much for reading. I love you ❤️

with love,

scar
