"She is not responding. .."

Mrs. Arora 's words blew shan brutally. ..He forgot where he is. .He ran frantically inside the emergency room. ..pushkar and nirmala who were beside him tried to stop him. .He ignored all their yells ...

As he was closing her, his legs tangled. ..His heart thumped hardly. ..His breath hitched. ..His steps weakened. ..

He scooped her in his arms. .she was cold. ..He was too nervous to feel her coldness.  ..He felt as if his soul went out of him. ..He embraced her and shouted her name. ...

   Pushkar who followed him was desperate and he was about to get shan back. .Mrs. Arora gestured him to stop. .

   Nirmala and ramnath  had to watch their son with painful sob. The doctor had nothing to do with. she herself felt bad for shraman since they were like their own kids. .

   As minutes pass on ,Shan's sob turned out to a wild cry. .He didn't leave sumo ...He forgot to wink. ..His eyes continued to shed tears nonstop. ..

Physically he was weak , mentally he was more than fragile. ..

He couldn't bear the truth  that his better half is struggling for life. .His sumo was too weak to fight. ..He scared about the emptiness with which he had to undergo without his sumo. ..

This storm hit him with the truth that he is nothing without sumo. ..He wiped his tears, stood up straight as if he had made his decision. ..

   He gathered all his potential to call her name. ..

     " sumo. ..."

He shaked her vigorously ...

" sumo. ..don't even think to leave me. .."

   His words came out agitatedly. .at the very next instant, his voice broke down. ..

   "yaar. ..I am nothing without you. ..sumo. ..I gave you so much of pain. ..you struggled with everything around you to prove yourself ...why not now. .?"

" see. ..I want you to fight ....sumo. ..listen to me. ..I hope you hear me. ..get up ...sumo. ..get up. .."

" sumo. ..I thought I was dead when I met with the accident in Kenya . ..Our love has given a second chance. ..I guess I lived those three months as I had  memory loss.  ..but. ..now. .."

His words came out in between his sob. ....

" sumo. .

Please understand. ..I am not that much strong to live without you. .."

He cupped her face and caressed her cheeks. ..

   "I love you so much. ..I need you at my side till my death by  every single minute. .."

" don't think to leave me. ..It would be hard even in a dream. .."

Nirmala cried bitterly. .ramnath consoled her to stay calm which was impossible. ..

Shan kept on shaking her. .He intertwined his fingers with hers. ..He touched her belly softly with the intertwined hand. ..and spoke softly to the baby. ..

" angel. ..tell mumma to get up. ..tell her that she is perfectly alright. ..at least, will you listen to me. .?"

He continued to speak as if his angel was listening to him. ..

" baby. ..I know you are quite strong like your mumma. ..I need both of you. ..you and your mumma. ..you both are my life. ..help mumma to get up. ..give her all the energy to fight with. .."

While conversing, shan felt Sumo's abdomen getting harder to feel ...not less than a cricket ball. ..He was panicked and looked the doctor quizzically. ..at next instant. ..

" aaammmmhhha..."

The ear splitting shout brought joyous smile in Shan's face. ..

Sumo screamed and gagged. ..her breath and heart beat came  to normal at step by step. ..
   

    Shan ran to her side and held her at her shoulders. ..

Mrs. Arora  summoned the nurses to arrange for the delivery. .everyone except shan waited outside. ..

It's obviously, a million dollar question,  how sumo got her breath back. ..perhaps,  it was a late response for medical procedures. ..and medications. ..

  In other way, it may be due to   the strong  emotional bond  between shraman  and baby. ..
 

    Mrs Arora understood that it was the love they had for each other that made the miracle. ..so, undoubtedly she insisted shan to be with sumo. ..

" shravan beta. ..she is undergoing labour pain. ..don't panic. ..she will have the same contractions at periodic intervals. ..at the peakest contraction, the baby will be delivered. .."

" shravan. . Now, she is too tired to bear with the pain. ..you are the only one who could support her. .. interact with her and encourage her to push downward during the contraction. .."

   Shan nodded to her instructions. ..He sat in the bed and he made sumo to sit upright reclining on his chest. ..He held her hands reassuringly. ..He kissed softly at her hair. .

" sumo. ..you are my everything. ..listen now. . I am here with you. ..relax yourself. .."

Shan' s words came out strongly to convey her comfort whereas his eyes shed fresh set of tears... .probably  happy tears ..

  Sumo felt his tears at her cheeks. ..

" Shan. ..why you are crying. ..I am alright. .."

She said in a feeble voice. ..

" yes. ..you are all right. ..it's like. ....all  my dream  has come true .."

He smiled fondly. ..

" sumo ...do you remember when did we first meet. .?"

Though sumo was undergoing the delivery pain, she listen shan with much  eager. ..

" I have met you in a mehandi function. ..at the very first sight itself I fell in love with you. ..I pretended to be normal when I met you at the channel. .."

  Sumo's brows arched high since he was recalling his memory. ..she stammered with disbelief. ..

" shhaan. .?"

Shan sighed with relief. ..

" yes sumo. ..I acted with much effort that you had nothing to do with me. ..I went far away from you. ..Whereas my thoughts were racing around you. ..I couldn't  bear even. .The breeze. ..the tiny raindrops. ..the winter. .."

Shan was speaking as like he was experiencing the same even now. ..sumo pressed her lips on his palms with an adorable smile. ..

" sumo. ..that's when I understood my love for you. ..and I confessed to you as such. ..I am blessed with you in my life. .."

Shan paused a second and huffed. ..

" it was a darkest day in my life, I was churned at the wildebeest. ..I thought I was dead. ..I remembered your face and smile at my last wink. .."

Sumo felt his pain ...she tugged herself  closer to him. .

" I saw you at Joshi's house... without any reason , my heart pounded for you. ..I had feelings for you when I didn't even know you. .."

" when I came to know about us, I wondered the love we had for each other. ..I loved you as adil. ..as shan. ..you were right. ..no matter what the name is. ..the love brought us together. ..even now, it's our love which had  brought you back. .."

Sumo nodded with a huff. ..

Her grimace changed. ..she moved by  side to side uncomfortably. ..

" Shan. ..it's paining. .."

Her voice resonanced her pain. .

" sumo. ..it's okay. ..i am here with you. .. just relax and push downwards. .."

  Sumo screamed with pain. Her hold, on his hand tightened as if his finger bones are going to crack.. ..

Her face was beaded with sweat. ..shan wiped her sweat and held her reassuringly. ..He encouraged her to push. ..

" sumo. ..you can. ..Our angel won't trouble you much. ..push. ..push downwards. .."

Sumo nodded no. ..she was exhausted. ..

" Shan. ..I can't. ..I am so tired. ..I can't shan. .."

Her words were feeble. ..

" sumo. ..take your breath in slowly. ..let it out slowly. ."

Sumo followed his instructions. ..

" mmmm. ..that's like my girl. ..now ,if sumo can't who can. .? Focus on our angel and push down when you feel pain. ..."

  It was easy to comprehend for shan. but for sumo it was as difficult as rock climbing. ..

  At one of the peakest point, sumo screamed loudly and pushed with all her energy. ..the baby's head decended ...sumo gave birth to a baby girl. ..

At Sumo's loud cry, shan clenched his eyes tighter, holding her closely. .His eyes dripple down fresh tears to see her pain. ..

" it's a baby girl. ..shravan. .."

Shan opened his eyes with the doctor's voice. ..

His face bloomed with happiness. ..He saw sumo with apparent glint. .she was lying on his shoulders like a creeper spoilt at a storm. ..her lips were quivering and her entire body was shaking ..her eyes were shut ,letting out lone tear. ..

Doctor and the nurse was busy in bathing the baby after clearing the umbilical cord. ..

Shan wiped her tears. .kissed her eyelids gently. ..He embraced her warmth. ..and whispered in her ears. ..

" congratulations mrs. Shravan malhothra. ..you made me a father. ...thank you my love. .."

  He pecked her lips quickly. ..Sumo's lips curved into a smile, recognising herself as a mother. ..

And they are three now. ..
