Things went by in a blur now that it was so close to the wedding. We had about two weeks until we said i do. The chapel was being decorated in a frenzy every day. I was asked to eat dinner in the dining room with the royal family since i would be one soon. I thought the prince had his own castle for some reason. I didn't mind living with his parents it was just weird. And his parents were certainly never the in laws i pictured. I thought we'd go shopping or to get lunch and get our nails done. But i suppose if my own parents weren't going to be in my life then this would have to do.

While we were eating a footman came into the room. He leaned down to the king and whispered something in his ear. He looked at me and sighed. "You have a visitor. I warn you that you may not like who is here." Said the king. "If you'll follow me out this way." The footman pointed. I stood up and followed him outside into the entrance of the castle.

"We have security on standby and we can escort them out at any time." He said. "If it's Lady Esmerelda you can just ask her to leave right now, i have nothing to say to her." I scowled. "Well it is not her." He pointed. I looked up to see my father. Yep you can ask him to leave as well. I sighed.

"What do you want? How did you find me?" "You're all over the news and media. What do you mean how did i find you?" He cleared his throat. "I need help." He said. "Awe let me guess, you're all out of money and you think I'll be willing to help you." I said. He smiled. "Yes, exactly." "Wrong. You sold your own parents house. The one that your father built with his bare hands. The house that your own daughter was living in. You didn't tell me you were selling it." I said. "Oh did you want half of the money?" He asked. "No you jerk! I don't care about the money! You left me homeless!!" I screamed.

"Well it turned out to be a great thing! You got this job, and now you'll be queen soon." He said. "Are you implying that you did me a favor?" I asked. He slipped his hands into his pockets and shrugged. "Well i mean i did..." He said. "Listen here, i owe you nothing. You made the choices that you made. You are the parent you are supposed to take care of me, not the other way around. You didn't do that. Get smarted with your money next time. You had a house that you could have lived in. Get a job. I shouldn't have to be telling you any of this." I shook my head.

"So you're not going to help me?" He asked. "No, I'm sorry. You've proven that you can't handle money. You'd just blow it. And if I'm being honest. I'm a little hurt about the way everything went down so excuse me if i feel i shouldn't have to help you." I said. "Well i don't even know what to say." He said. "I know, i have pictures of you. Do you think i could sell those to the tabloid? I mean do you think they would buy them?" He asked. "Are you being serious right now? You're gonna make money off of me?" I asked. "Well dear, i need the money." "What is wrong with you!? Get a job like everybody else." The baby started kicking.

I took a deep breath. "I have to leave now, you're upsetting my baby. Oh before i leave. You don't have to come back. I mean if you thought you should see your grand child. You don't have to come back. What I'm saying is, i don't want you to come back." I said. I nodded to the guard. "Well add his name to the list mam. Thank you!" And with that he led my father out of the castle and out of my life forever. I thought I'd never have to see him again. That threw me for a loop. I headed back to the dining room.

I could tell Prince Cedric wanted to check on me. But it just wasn't the way. They had brought out the final course so we ate in silence. Once the meal was over he offered to escort me back to my room. "Are you okay?" He asked once we were safely outside. "Yes, i just never thought my father would actually show up here." I said. "Nor I, but did you have a good conversation? What did he want?" He asked. "My father wanted money, i told him no. And that he didn't need to come back." I said. "Oh." He scowled. "It's okay." I put a hand on his arm. "I'm not mad. I just didn't expect it. But i tried to handle it with grace." I said. "Well if you're not mad then everything is fine." He said.

"Fine? I dunno about that. Were getting married in two weeks." I said. "Are you excited?" He asked finally reaching our rooms. "Yes, i suppose so. But ya know i never thought I'd be pregnant at my own wedding." I frowned. "Well the invites are all sent out. The royals are coming from all over. This is a monumental event." He said. "No i know, it's just that's frowned upon ya know? Like why would a person get pregnant before they get married? It's almost embarrassing i guess." I said frowning. He nodded. "No, i know what you mean. But nobody cares about that. They are happy for us. Even if we didn't do it the 'right' way." He said. "I hope you're right." I agreed.

"Are you ready to rule by my side?" He asked. "Yes of course, but I'm nervous." I said. "You'll be great, and I'll show you the ropes. As prince i don't have that many duties really. I just take some of the load off of my father." He said. I nodded If he was going to show me the ropes then it would be okay. "I'm just panicking that we won't be able to see much of our child. That's not at all what i was expecting." I said. He shook his head. "I think you'll see more of our child then you think. It's just sometimes we have to do things that we can't bring a young child too. And they will help our child stay on a schedule." He said. "But i get a say? If i want to see my child." I said.

"Of course it's your child. I won't let them keep you from him or her. Look the nanny is the royal nanny. In fact she was my nanny. She will take over your room once you move into mine. She can get up on nights that you need more rest. You'll see it's a blessing and not a curse. I promise." He said.

I nodded. "I'm still not sure." I said. "I have an idea. Let's go meet with her. She's already here in the palace in case you go into labor early. Come on, I'll introduce you to her." He said taking my hand in his. We had to go to the servants wing to meet with her. He knocked on her door and she opened it surprised. "Oh your majesty i wasn't expecting you, is everything okay with the baby?" She asked.

"Oh yes of course the baby is fine, but my fiancé Alex wanted to meet you. She had some concerns." Said Prince Cedric. "Oh well of course, please come in. My name is Bea. It's so nice to finally meet you Alex." We stepped into the room and she closed the door behind us. Bea looked like a friendly grandmother. She had white hair that was curled. Glasses and a yellow dress. She looked nice even. I don't know why i expected a stern lady with a ruler.

"So, they told you that i was going to be taking care of your little one and you're worried that you won't get to see it?" She asked. I smiled feeling foolish. "Actually yes." I said. "Well don't you worry. We are going to work together to make sure your little one is raised to be nice and polite. And that the king will be proud of him or her." She said. I let out a sigh of relief. "I'm so glad to hear that." I said. "I work for you, you just tell me what you need. And we'll come up with a good schedule that works for everyone." She said. "Good, I'm so glad to hear that." I said. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

"I'm here for you. You'll be so busy with events and i want to make sure your little one is taken care of." She said. "And besides i would imagine you'd want another kid somewhere down the road ya know?" She grinned. "Oh i feel so silly now." I said. "Don't feel silly, i know this is all so new for you. But you're doing great. And if you have any questions or concerns you can come to me. We're on the same team." She took my hand and squeezed it. "Thank you so much for putting my fears to rest." I told her. "Of course dear." She said.

I smiled at the Prince. "Thank you." I said. "Of course. Thank you so much Bea. We'll see you soon with a new little one." The prince grinned. "I can't wait to hold that sweet baby." She said clasping her hands in front of her. We thanked her again and left her room. It had already been a crazy busy day. But everything was falling into place.
