Serendipity; that crap actually exists. Really!

It took me a few moments to wrap my head around what Chiron had actually said. It took me another few moments after that to realise what it meant. Everyone was sitting back at the Dining Pavilion, but I was moved to the Poseidon table, sitting across from—of all people—Percy. He didn't look at me, but he was muttering to himself angrily. At least, I assumed it was to himself, and I assumed he was angry. I had grabbed my plate from before and asked for a new slice of pizza from a thankfully passing nymph, so I was munching on that. Aspen was sitting next to me crunching tin cans, and next to Percy was a satyr I didn't recognise. The two satyrs were engrossed in a deep conversation, so I guessed they already knew each other.
"Percy... are you ok?" I asked cautiously. Percy looked up from his plate of pizza and at me, but he didn't look angry or frustrated. Then it hit me; he was upset. Percy had probably spent his whole time at Camp Half-blood being the only kid of Poseidon, and now he suddenly had a little sister that his dad didn't think to tell him about. Or even mention.
"I'm fine. Just a little shocked, that's all. Although I do see the resemblance." He said with a sigh. I gestured for him to continue. "Between you and dad that is. Same eyes mainly." Percy pointed out, and went back to eating his pizza. I had finished my pizza and salad, and I honestly couldn't eat another bite. I had just taken a sip of my once-again-filled goblet of juice, when Chiron clopped to the middle of the Dining Pavilion.
"Alright everyone settle down. We've all had a good lunch, and I would like to thank Maddy and Savannah for giving us the... interesting entertainment," he said, looking at me then the girl he called Savannah, who was at a table with a lot of really pretty girls. I felt my cheeks grow hot at the comment, "but I would just like to make an announcement. Tonight after dinner, we will be holding a game of Capture the Flag!" This received a hearty cheer from the rest of the campers, including Percy. I guess it was popular.
"Sort yourselves into teams based on your cabins. Do not be afraid to team up with different cabins," he looked at Percy, and then the Athena cabin. I knew it was the Athena cabin because Annabeth was at that table, and Percy had told me before that she was the Cabin Counsellor of the Athena Cabin. I looked back at Chiron, "rather than ones you're used to. That is all." Chiron then calmly walked down the steps leading out of the Dining Pavilion.

"That was a pretty cool display of H2O back there." Someone said behind me. I jumped, my arrow flying from the bow. Surprisingly, it hit the target. I frowned and turned around, and saw a boy who was my age, with pale skin, longish dark hair and narrow eyes. I rubbed my eyes in disbelief; I couldn't believe who was standing in front of me.
"Colin? Colin Temachi?" I asked in awe. Colin grinned, nodding. I dropped the bow in my hand, and almost tackled Colin with my bear hug. I guess I should explain; Colin used to go to my primary school back in Australia, before his mum got a job in D.C as a medical research robotics technician when we were ten. I thought I would never actually see him again. We finished our hug laughing like crazy, but I was just so happy. Colin was like, my best friend when we were little. We were both dyslexic and had ADHD, so we just kinda understood each other. I wiped a joyful tear from my eye and picked up the bow. Luckily for us Chiron hadn't seen us almost wrestling on the ground, so I casually plucked another arrow from the bucket and placed it against the string and bow. Colin picked up a bow that was lying on the other side of the bucket, and carefully picked an arrow from the bucket. We pulled the cord back as far as we could, and then let the arrow fly. Colin's arrow hit one of the inner rings, while mine hit the outermost ring. I was ok with that, since I was terrible at archery.
"I'm in Cabin Nine. That's the Hephaestus Cabin." Colin said, handing me an arrow. I thanked him and shot it in the direction of the target, it hitting the blue ring. Hopefully that meant I was getting better. I grabbed another arrow and passed it to Colin.
"That's pretty cool. I'm guessing you and your siblings are responsible for the awesome metalwork I've been seeing around, then?" I asked sarcastically with a smirk. Colin fired another arrow at the target, and fist pumped the sky when it hit one of the red rings.
"Yeah we are. You know... I'm sure that my brother Leo would be stoked to have Cabin Nine team up with you and your brother." Colin said, setting up another arrow. I let loose another arrow, sighing as it hit the white ring again. The way he said your brother felt strange to me, like, really strange.
"Sounds good. I'll talk to Percy." I said, going to retrieve another arrow. Only there weren't any. Colin and I walked to our respective targets, with me stopping every few metres to pick up another arrow. We had just gotten back to the bucket when Chiron told us to stop.
"Alright campers! Now you have an hour before your next sessions begin, so take this opportunity to take a rest, and to get your armour fitted." Chiron shouted. Colin and I returned our bows to the stand.
"I have rock climbing next. What about you?" Colin asked me cheerfully. I racked my brain for a moment, trying to remember what the piece of paper Chiron had given me said. It was kinda hard, since I had barely been able to read it.
"Uh... Sword fighting... I think." I said, still thinking it over. Colin nodded silently, and then smiled.
"Could you come with me while I swing past the forge? There's something I need to get..." Colin asked. I rolled my eyes, but agreed.
