Alex was in the jungle, practicing some new trapeze moves up in the trees. He did a backflip and landed on a vine, using it like a handle. "Ok nice. And Marty said the jungle isn't a good place to practice" Alex told himself as he got off the vine and got back on the tree.

Splash! "Huh?" He said as his ears twitched at the sound of water splashing. The lion walked over to some branched and leaves and moved them away to get a better look. There was a huge waterfall with a pool.

"Hmm?" Alex said suspicious as he jumped off the tree and landed on the ground. He walked around, his eyes scanning around for whatever made that splash.

His ears twitched at a splash and he turned his head to the pool and his eyes caught something emerging from the water.

It was Gia. Gia had swam below the water and came back up for air. Alex froze in his spot and tried to stay quiet. He didn't wanna bother Gia or make her fell uncomfortable.

Gia smoothed her wet fur up on her head and down to her neck and she shook her head to shake off her soaking wet fur. Alex tried to quietly tiptoe away and head back to the big top but then...

"Whoa!" He said startled as his foot slipped at a small hill below him and he fell down and slided. Gia's ears twitched at the sounds and she turned around fast, startled. Alex hit the ground face flat.

"Ow" he groaned in pain as he stood up. "Alex?" His ears perked up at Gia's voice and he looked at her, the jaguar stared at him wide eye and surprised to see him.

"Gia! I am so so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you or anything" he apologized to her quickly. Gia could see he felt really bad that he spooked her so she smiled at him reassuringly.

"It's ok Alex. But what are you doing here in the jungle?" She asked him curious. "I was coming up with some new trapeze moves" he told her as he relaxed a bit, seeing she wasn't mad or anything. "You?" He asked her about what she was doing.

"Just swimming. I love swimming. It so nice and cool here in the water" she told him as she swam closer to him. Alex nodded in agreement. "Do you wanna join me?" She asked him and Alex's eyes widen in surprise.

"You want me to join you? In swimming?" He asked her and she nodded "you can swim right?" She asked hin puzzled "Well um yeah" he told her "alright then jump in" she told him smiling.

"But first can you help me get out first?" She asked him, holding her paw. "Oh yeah sure" he told her, grabbing her paw but then a sneaky smirk came up on her face.

She pulled the lion into the water and SPLASH! Alex fell into the cold water. He bursted out coughing "Gia!" He told her annoyed and surprised. She chuckled at him. Alex never thought that Gia was the sneaky kind.

"Come on! Have some fun!" She told him and splashed some water at him before swimming off, giggling. Alex smirked at her, determined to get revenge om the jaguar. "Oh ho you're gonna regret this Gia!" He yelled out and chased after her.

Gia swam to a corner and Alex saw his chance "got ya!" He said confident and tried to catch her but then Gia ducked into the water and he missed the catch and she zoomed over under water and appeared behind him and far.

"Whoa!" Alex said surprised and impressed by how fast she swam. Being a jaguar, Gia had the advantage in the water. She turned around, smirking at him and Alex blushed a bit. He found that the sneaky playful side of her made him fall for her more.

She went down into the water again, her paw remerged and beckoned him to followed her before disappearing into the water. Alex smiled confident, determined to get her so he swam under the water, after her.

The lion looked around in the water, his eyes scanning for the jaguar. He was actually surprised. Gia was nowhere in sight. 'How did I lose her that fast?' He wondered but then Gia came out of nowhere, got on his back and pushed herself up. The push sent Alex a bit deeper and he turned around and spotted her leap out of the water and back on dry land.

Alex swam up back to the surface, breathing in and out for air. He turned around and found Gia sitting on the edge near the water, licking her paw. He swam over to her, smiling "You're...you're really fast in the water" he complimented her, impressed and shook his mane to get the water out. Gia chuckled at getting all sprinkled by the wet drops coming from his mane.

"You're not bad in the water either" she told him. Alex looked up and spotted something that got him interested. "Hey look! Over there! That would the a great spot to a cannonball" he commented and pointed at a large tree in front of the pool that would make the best spot for a cannonball.

Gia looked at it curious and looked back at Alex "I've never tried a cannonball before Alex" she told him nervously. "Look you showed me that you're really fast in the water. So I'll show you how to do a cannonball. Come on" he offered her and got out of the water with Gia following him.
