Acts of Foolishness

I see you carrying the corpse,
underneath the pure white sheet
as it sways,
it almost looks like you are holding
a newborn instead.

Return me.
Return me to myself.
For no one remembers me,
No one but myself.

Walking
Heels to tips,
A tightrope high in the sky.
Shall 'myself' drop
Or drip into the hands of a lover
it will never have seen the light
for it cannot glide from one nor the other.

And 'I'.
I swallowed too much fear.
But I,
I do not falter;
not without grace.
Gracing myself with
all that my eyes can engulf
before going blind.

I said, my voice a desert;
"Expect the unexpected
And you'll be safe from the fall.

Only fools say
I should've known..."

I part my dry lips again,
my voice a sky -
maybe day maybe night...

Eagles from the sky; might take your child
Xenophobic quivers; will save your live!
Pain of a lover; might make your heart defiled
Enthusiastic urges, will not make you survive.
Careful; nothing here is safe nor sound.
Take care; even your soul is not abound.

Timeless,
heartless,
enraged!

Underground, the pillars are crashing down
Never underestimate the nefarious glance!
End your story, or in its pages you shall drown.
Xanas near the rivers, locking you in a trance
pulling you into the translucence around
enveloping you with beauty and a soft dance
caressing your fingertips, which turn blue
the water is cold, but their warmth...
Expect the unexpected, didn't I tell you?
Death will catch up, despite your virtue.

One step ahead,
smarter than time,
the world in my head,
thinks it knows every line.

And yet,
through all the possibilities
it never reached my mind.
Why can't I wrap
my head around
what one can never reach?

I do not lie in the hands of fate,
just in the eyes of coincidence...

And outside of that,
there is nothing but acts
of foolishness.
