A/N: Sorry I haven't been typing as much as I used to ;-;, I've been quite... busy as I'll like to call it. I haven't had much inspiration or motivation to write all these interesting and amazing requests that you all have taken the time to write to me. You guys have all been doing your part as readers and it's about time I do my part as a writer >:3. This being said, even though I am not as motivated or inspired to write, I am determined to get all these requests done. I won't let what happened last time happen again.

(???'s POV)

To think, it's been over a year since they were set free. An entire year I've spent left alone, stuck within the walls of this maze. The last people I ever saw were my friends. Over a year ago, we were forced to make a decision, one which was the hardest we'd ever have to make in our lives...

~~FlashBack~~

"EXCUSE ME?!" The panda hat-wearing dork we all knew as Austin, who we also called Panda, yelled in front of my face. There was shock and disbelief in the faces of my friends around me, not wanting to believe in the reality of what I was saying. I don't blame them, I sounded unsure of it myself. "YOU'RE SAYING THERE'S A SCIENTIST BEHIND ALL OF THIS?!" I nodded my head, looking at my other two companions. They were just as shocked as Austin and myself, except Mario looked more scared than anything but once again, I can't blame him.

"Yes, that is precisely what I'm saying. I was on a scout through the maze along with 3 others. Like all the other times, there were new paths, new dead ends. Fortunately, we did not run into any crawlers but we did find an old science lab." I tried my best to explain to them what we had seen, and as usual Austin didn't believe most of it. Mario looked a little unsure but a bit more scared than before I explained, and Michael was the only one listening to everything I was saying in detail, gripping my hand as support all the way through it. I mean, it's what I would expect from my own boyfriend. "Later today, at around I'd say 2pm, a strange man within the building told us to look to the sky. I don't trust him but I'm going to follow what he said."

"Why would you do something that someone you trust told you to do?" Austin asked curiously, looking at me with investigating eyes like he always does. I rolled my eyes at him, ignoring his question as I looked towards the other two of my best friends, well, other best friend and boyfriend, for their opinions on the matter. "How about you two?"

Michael looked at me with a soft smile, gripping my hand before loosening it a bit. "I say we do it, it may seem weird but maybe it'll bring us some clues about getting out of here. You'll never know what happens until you do something." I smiled back at my purple bean, quickly kissing him on the cheek before looking towards Mario, silently asking him for his intake on the situation. Even though he looked a little shaken up, he still nodded quietly.

"Alright, I'll go too. Just because I'm deciding to go with you guys doesn't mean I trust this one but." The panda man grumbled, walking out of the mapping room and I'm guessing towards the main eating area. Mario hurried to catch up to him, while Michael tried to tug me along with them, which it actually worked. What? I was hungy too.

--Time skip to 1:58pm--

All four of us were stood outside of our main building, in the middle of the Glade and looking to the sky like the man said we should do. Suddenly, after we had been standing for what felt like forever, a bright light appeared in front of us, forcing us to cover our eyes as if otherwise, we'd blind ourselves. When we looked back, the geekiest nerd I had ever seen was standing right there, right in front of our eyes. Looking up with his huge freaking glasses, he smirked at us with this creepy smile that would give the even the biggest and baddest criminals shivers down their spines.

"Well well well! I guess you listened to me after all, ginger boy. I am very aware that you all may be wondering the same thing, 'who's the geeky nerd random person?' One, I am not geeky, I am just a very intelligent intellectual human being who has a lot of brain power on their side. Two, My name is Kikipo and I am the man responsible for creating the Glade." ...WHAT?! We all were probably the most shocked we had ever been in our entire lives, don't know about the others but I certainly didn't see that one coming. I looked over at Austin as he had just gotten a rage-filled look in his face, when all of a sudden he tried to charge at this 'Kikipo' person.

"HOW COULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS?! PEOPLE DIED HERE, TRYING TO SURVIVE!! YOU RIPPED US ALL OF OUR OWN LIVES!!! WHEN I'M DONE WITH YOU, YOU WILL WISH YOU WERE NEVER ALIVE!!!" Austin screamed at him, his face red as a beetroot while full with anger. His attack was stopped by some sort of an invisible wall, making the panda fall back onto his butt. Mario rushed over to see if he was alright, Austin toning his voice down a little seeing as he knows Mario doesn't like loud yelling. "Why'd you do it?! Why did you take all of us away from our families, our friends, and our homes?!"

The crazy man smiled crazily, like he was waiting for someone to ask him that exact question, which creeped us all out. "I was waiting for that precise question to be asked! Thank you~ and if you must know, I did it for science! People weren't going to voluntarily sign up for something that would basically risk their lives, so I had to take the test subjects... by force." My brain and probably everyone else's brains were spinning. This guy was an absolute nut job!

"You're messed up..." I mumbled, a small question lurking in my brain but probably not just my own. "Why have you come here? Now of all times?"

The smile never left his face, even as he continued to explain the following few things which shocked and relieved us all. "Today marks the 4 year anniversary of when I created this place. Around this maze is an invisible forcefield where people physically cannot leave this area, and it can only be taken down on this day. Currently, it is down meaning anyone who leaves the Glade leaves for good, never having to return again. I have come to tell you this and offer a proposal for you all." Michael and Mario look curious to this supposed 'offering' while Austin looks hesistant and still distrusting this man. "And what is this 'proposal' you speak of?"

His smile faded into more of a sincere frown, which shocked me more than anything."A way out. In exchange for all of your freedom, one person must stay behind. Honestly, that part is not my choice, a partner of mine sabotaged the project. All of you were supposed to be released on this day but with the sabotage in place, I must sadly say that only 20 of you can leave. One of you must stay. I am honestly sorry that it must be this way, you were all supposed to leave, never return and keep your memories. But, that can't happen. Anyone who leaves, loses their memories of their life here in the Glade, and anything before, but lives their lives in freedom. The person who stays here keeps all their memories, but is stuck alone, here in the Glade. Now, before I leave, I must know who's the person staying as they'll be coming with me for a moment. The rest of you will be teleported out of here while your memories will be wiped. Now, who is it?"

Nobody spoke, we all just stood in silence. None of us wanted to move, none of us wanted to speak, all of us were frozen in shock. This offered a way out, a way to freedom, but with freedom comes a sacrifice. All of us wanted to escape, but none of us wanted to forget about each other.

"I'll stay." I spoke up, stepping forward and surprising everyone. I heard hurried footsteps as I saw Michael step in front of me, a few tears in his eyes already. "No! I can't leave you, Ritchie! I w-won't-" I placed a hand on his cheek and took his other hand in my own, stopping him from continuing. "Michael, I don't want to leave you either, but I want you to live your own life. I won't forget you or anyone else here, and if I ever escape, I'll find you. I'll find a way to bring us back together. Because I love you." I closed the gap between us for the last time, his arms hesitantly wrapped themselves around my neck before gripping me like his life depended on it. My arms tightened around his waist just as much, knowing that this most likely will be the last time we ever see each other again. When we parted, he had fat tears rolling down his eyes, I probably did as well. 

"I l-love you too. J-Just please, c-come back to me..." I rested my forehead on his while wiping away the rest of his glittering tears, even though some of my own tears are starting to fall. "Of course I'll come back, I promise."

"Once again I am sorry that this must happen and I'm also sorry that I must interrupt this small moment, but our time is up. The 20 survivors who are leaving are teleporting in about 1 minute." The mad man smiled sadly as I walked over to him, turning to face my friends for the last time. Michael had a tear-stained face, Mario looks like he's about to burst into tears while Austin was trying to stay strong but it wasn't working so much. Suddenly, a bright light engulfed us all..."

~~Flashback End~~

That's all I remember from that day. Right now I was in the middle of just harvesting carrot farm as I decided I was gonna have some carrot soup for lunch. As I was about to pick my 5th carrot, a hand rested on my shoulder, scaring the absolute crap out of me as I swung my hoe at the random person, making them jump backwards quickly. "WHO'S THERE?!"

"Chill! It's just me! Kikipo! I have come to tell you some good news!" He blubbered out quickly, holding a hand to his heart. I lowered my hoe and narrowed my eyes at him, he hasn't told me any good news, just small updates on the place every week. Other than that, it's just me. "Oh really? When have you ever told me good news..."

"No honestly! There's a way for you to escape this place!" My eyes widened as wide as frying pans, my mouth gaped and I dropped my carrot, and hoe. This couldn't be real, I was stuck in here to let my friends out. I basically sacrificed myself for my friends' freedom, and now the same scientist who trapped me here is telling me that there's a way to escape?!

"There is?! How?!" I was in his face in seconds, frightening him a bit but I didn't care. I was able to leave! Don't worry Michael...

 I'm coming for you...

A/N: Alright so, this was supposed to be a one parter but I got carried away XD. This story is 2003 words long and at the beginning I was say I didn't have any motivation or inspiration but woops -w-.
