A/N: This is the 2nd upload for today out of the 3 I will be doing! Just a heads up, part 2 of Chapter 4 for Different Dimensions will be in the FTO universe. InspiredJelly was very INSPIRING for this oneshot... hehe get it? Ok sorry i'm not funny :,)

(David's POV)

My boyfriend and I were making ice sculptures for the Christmas party that's happening tomorrow with all the guilds. I make the big blocks of ice while Mario carves them, to which I didn't know he was good at carving.

"Alright, 4 down, 2 to go!" I say while getting my magic ready to make the next block.

As I was shooting my ice, Boat ran into me, making me off balance and I shot my magic at Mario by accident. I immediately stop my powers and look over at my boyfriend to see him frozen in place by a giant ice cube.

"Mario!" I yelled as I ran over to him, Boat came with me.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Do you want help getting him out?" Boat looked over at me and I nodded my head quickly.

We grabbed the tools and started to carve our way to him but they weren't quick enough.

"He can't be in there for too long. I read that cavern magic users tend to get hypothermia quicker than other magic users. We need to speed this up." I say quickly and panicked.

"How about we get Kit or Bryan? They're fire magic users so they could burn the ice." Boat suggested.

"Perfect! I'll go to the protectors and get Bryan, you go find Kit."

We ran in our own directions to find where the fire users are.

(Boat's POV)

I ran as fast as I could to the guildhall to see if Kit was there and yes she was, but along with Brandon and Ritchie.

"Hello Boat? Do you need-"

"KIT, I NEED YOUR FIRE MAGIC IMMEDIATELY!!" I yelled while running up to her and grabbing her hand.

"Wait why? Why do you need me?" Kit was very confused and I'm pretty sure the twins were too.

"Mario and David were making ice sculptures. I accidentally bumped him and he froze Mario in an ice cube."

They looked at me shocked and Brandon looked concerned a bit.

"How bad is that?" Ritchie was still confused at why I was so panicked.

"They can't get him out and he needs to out quickly because Cavern magic users get hypothermia quicker than any other magic users. He'll get extremely sick and his powers will weaken." Thank the heavens Brandon knows. Kit and Ritchie went wide-eyed.

"Well then! What are we waiting for, let's go!" Ritchie yelled as we ran out the door (well, Brandon flew).

(David's POV)

I was very impatient on the boat ride and practically sprinted off the boat towards the guildhall.

I slammed the door open, and saw that the Protectors were all inside having a meeting. Everyone turned over to me and stared, I was embarassed but was too focused.

"Ummm, what a surprise David? What is it you need?" Lo Pho asked walking up to me.

"I need Bryan, urgently." I said, panic and worry laced in my voice but I didn't care enough to hide it.

"Why do you need Bryan?"

"Because Mario is stuck in a block of ice and I need Bryan to help melt it." As soon as I said Mario's name, Bryan jumped out of his seat and ran over to me.

"What?! He could get Hypothermia!!" He yelled.

"But doesn't hypothermia come later? Wouldn't he just be a little sick?" Kay said, still confused.

"Well, yes he would get Hypothermia, but he'll get it quicker because he's a cavern magic user. His powers will drain and he'll be extremely sick and weak." Bri now spoke up.

"So! Let's go then! Lead the way David!" Me, Bryan and Lo Pho went back to the island. Lo Pho came in case Mario needed any healing.

Once we arrived at the island, I, again, sprinted off the boat towards the garden where me and my boyfriend were making the sculptures.

Once we got there, Kit was already shooting here magic at him but it wasn't enough. Ritchie and Brandon were using their magic to help break some of the ice away. Boat was standing away because water doesn't do much against ice.

"Bryan! Come help! Maybe two is better than one!" Kit yelled as Bryan ran over and blew flames at the ice. It was starting to melt but it still wasn't quick enough.

"Maybe this will help." Bryan transforms into his dragon force form and shoots a very strong flame at Mario.

The ice melts quickly and sooner or later, Mario is out of the ice, standing up. Byran also transforms out of his dragon force. We all look over to Mario, who was wobbling quite a bit and had a very red face.

"H-H-Hi, g-guys..." was all he got out before he passed out so I had to run and catch him before he fell over.

I checked his head and it's freezing cold.

"He's got hypothermia..." I said while I look at my boyfriend, worried.

"David, run him over to the infirmary. Kit and Bryan, I need you guys to go to the market and find some hypothermia pills and mana bottles since we're freshly out." Ritchie instructed so I picked up Mario and ran to the infirmary with Brandon and Lo Pho by my side.

Once we got to the infirmary, I laid Mario on the bed and Lo Pho got to work to help increase his body temperature.

"We're back!" Bryan yelled with Kit running beside him. They handed the pills to Brandon, who got a few out and handed them to me.

"You just need him to swallow these. They should help his temperature to rise. Also, make him drink this. They will help his powers to come back." Brandon instructed me while handing me the required things.

I walk over to Mario and try to shake him awake. His eyes flutter open for a few seconds before he forcefully shuts them and shivers.

"Mario." I say softly, making his eyes open and look at me.

"I need you to take these pills. They will help with the cold." I gently say while I give him the pills and he takes them. I then give him the mana bottle and he slowly drinks it.

"Feel better?"

"K-Kinda. I-It's just r-r-really cold," His voice was shivering like his body. I felt bad for him so I got in the bed and pulled him into my lap. He instantly snuggles up to my chest and falls asleep again. I wrapped my arms around him to keep him warm.

While I was looking at Mario, I forgot that the others were here.

"Ummm, David. What are you doing?" I look up and everyone was confused.

"He seemed cold so, I decided to warm him up." They all made an 'oh' face.

"Well we need to head back to the Protectors guild so, goodbye and see you tomorrow!" Lo pho and Bryan left while Ritchie and Brandon went back to their office. Kit went to find something else to do while Boat was looking at the ground.

"Boat? Why are you still here?"

"I just... I feel guilty. Mario has hypothermia because of me. If I wasn't so clumsy, he wouldn't be sick right now," I could tell he was blaming himself with guilt laced in his voice.

"Boat, seriously. It was an accident. He'll be fine in a few days anyways. Maybe tomorrow, if he's up to it, I'll bring him to the Christmas party. Stop blaming yourself, alright?" He looked over at me with a small smile on his face.

"Well Ok. Night David." He said while walking off.

"Night Boat."

I looked down at the sleeping dragon slayer in my arms and kissed his head.

"And goodnight to you too, Rocky."

A/N: Honestly, this was so fun to write! Thank you InspiredJelly for this idea. I have been writing for the last 2 hrs to finish this because of the constant notifications I have had.

Also, Different Dimensions will be updated in around 3 to 4 hrs as I am going to take a break of writing.
