(No one's POV)

It was the festive season in the demigod world. Everyone in Camp Oasis is happy and preparing themselves for Christmas!

Jake was decorating the entire camp with snow and little snowflake decorations. Everyone knew that he was doing this so, they got their own warm clothes.

All the campers loved the winter feeling.

Except Brandeen...

"Jaaaaake," Brandeen whined while following Jake as he was making the snow and decorations.

"What is it, Brandeen?" Jake turned around to see him shivering and rubbing his arms.

"Why do you have to add snow?" He whined more.

Jake giggled at his friend's attitude. "Cause it's the Christmas season! I gotta add snow to make this place more festive! Plus we live in a desert meaning no snow comes here." Jake smiled.

This made Brandeen pout. "But I don't like snow. I'm the literal son of Ares."

Jake giggles even more, making Brandeen blush slightly. "Oh c'mon. It's only til tomorrow. Once Christmas is over, it will all melt away so you can last just one day."

"Hmph," Brandeen huffed and turned away.

Jake saw this and grabbed Brandeen's chin making him look into his eyes. "Maybe I can warm you up in my secret base~" He smirked when Brandeen's face went a dark red.

"E-Excuse me?!"

He let go of Brandeen's chin. "Y'know, with the fireplace? Maybe some mineswitch?" He smiled innocently.

Brandeen's face was now a little less red than before, but still an obvious red. "Ohh..." He was kinda disappointed it wasn't what he was thinking about.

'Maybe? Maybe we could...' He thought as Jake continued to decorate.

A few hours...

(Brandeen's POV)

Right now, I was in front of Jake's fireplace in his base warming up. Him being a son of a god that has freaking ice powers makes it pretty cold in his living areas. Me being a son of a god with freaking fire powers makes this difficult for me.

My body heat is warmer than normal, while his is colder than normal.

'How in the world did I end up liking the person with the opposite power as mine? I have FIRE powers and he has ICE! And my stupid mind decided to have a freaking crush on him?!' I thought.

I didn't mind having a crush on him cause is actually really lovable when you get to know him.

'No wonder Bryan went for him first. But he moved on because Jake didn't like him like that, meaning Jake might like someone else. But I don't think that Jake likes me like that! Would he even like the person who had the opposite power as him?'

"Brandeen?" I was knocked out of my thoughts when I heard Jake call out my name.

"U-Uh huh?" I shivered out as currently, the fire is helping but not by much.

He looked at me worriedly as he sat next to me on the couch. "Are you alright?"

I shook my head. "I-It's freezing s-still."

"Sorry about that. It's my fault this place is so cold. I can change the snow if it will help?" I looked at him puzzled.

'Change the snow? What does that mean?'

I think he answered my question when I felt the atmosphere become warmer by the second. I looked over to Jake, I saw him with his hands together and his eyes were closed.

When he opened his eyes, he smiled at me and I smiled slightly back. "Thanks, but how did you 'change' the snow exactly?"

His smile brightened when I asked. "I can change the temperature of the atmosphere. I can make it warm enough for you but cold enough to keep the snow for me!"

"Well thanks, it was starting to get very cold in here. I would've become a popsicle if you didn't do something." He giggled at my little joke, he freaking giggled that cute giggle of his.

"Well we know you can't become a popsicle. You would've just been a puddle of warm water!" He laughed and I quietly laughed with him.

We laughed for a bit but I began to shiver a bit more. He noticed and stopped laughing to look at me concerned. "Are you still cold?"

I nodded while curling into a ball to get some warmth.

Suddenly I felt two arms wrap around my waist, and I yelped when I was suddenly pulled into their lap.

"U-Uh, Jake? What are you doing?" I looked up at him with a red face while he was just smiling.

"You looked cold so, I decided to warm you up! I did say before I could warm you up in my base, didn't I?" He smirked which made my face even warmer.

"Oh yeah you did, but I didn't think that it would be this way." I looked down.

"Sorry, do you feel uncomfortable? I could put you down." He wrapped his arms around my waist again to pick me up. I didn't wanna leave his lap so I snuggled into his chest.

"No, I'm perfectly comfortable." I smiled up at him. His face was red this time and he smiled back at me.

I looked at him, worried slightly as I thought of something. "Wait, won't you get overheated because of my body heat?"

He chuckled. "Nope! My body temperature isn't as sensitive as yours, meaning this doesn't affect me. I'm happy it doesn't because this is also comfortable."

I got cozy again while laying on his chest while he laid down on the couch, his arms still around my waist.

'Maybe I could ask him now?' I looked up at Jake to see him getting ready to sleep.

"Umm, Jake?" I asked, hoping I didn't interupt him from him trying to sleep.

He hummed to let me know he was listening.

"Do you like anyone?" I was really hoping he either says no or me. If he says no, then maybe I have a chance. If he says me then I can reveal mine too.

"Yeah I do. It's someone special to me and has been with me all the way through camp. I enjoy their company and I hope they enjoy mine." He explained while looking at me. "Have you got a crush too?

My face went red thinking about it. "Yep. He is also special to me and is really one of my only friends. Most people think that being the son of Ares, you're expected to be the bully or the mean one out of everyone. I'm honestly not like that. I may look like it because of the way I dress and my attitude towards others. Its only because I don't know how to be nice, I was always taught to be mean. Now, I don't think that they like me." I looked down, now upset that he probably doesn't like me back.

"Brandeen." He said softly. I didn't loom at him but this made him lift my chin so I was looking at him in the eyes.

"Yes people would think of you to be a bully because of your attitude or the way you dress. But they don't know the real reason you do the things you do unless they get to know you. You are actually a very nice guy and nothing like your father might say. Whoever you like would be dumb to not like you back!" He smiles down at me. I smiled back.

We stared at each other til I started to slowly move closer to his face. It was like I was asking him if I could do this. I feel like I got my answer when he started to move closer to me.

Once we got close enough, we both closed our eyes and connected our lips. They felt perfect together and a warm sensation went through my body, no longer feeling cold.

He sits up, not breaking the kiss, to tighten his grip on my waist. I snake my arms around his neck, pulling him in to deepen the kiss.

We kiss for what felt like hours until we finally pulled apart. We were panting and smiling while staring into each others eyes.

"So I guess you like me, huh?" I said while still smiling at him. He nodded with his smile growing.

"Well I like you too, Jake!" I layed back down on his chest when he got comfortable again. He chuckled.

"Well, I guess were dating? If you wanna," he wrapped his arms around me again pulling me closer to him.

"Of course." I smiled as I started to fall asleep.

"I love you, Flameboi." He whispers as he kisses my head.

"Love you too, Frosty. And Merry Christmas." We smiled as we fell asleep, knowing this was the best christmas together.
