Scott stood by the Vault entrance listening while the others remained in their previous places, each of them had a slick layer of sweat and had grown pale. "Anything?" Stiles asked as he stood with Scott by the door, turning his head to see Jasmine laying on the ground with her jacket as a pillow using the cold ground to cool her high fever. "They're looking for us. Someone's going to have to go out there," Scott answered with a tired sigh, his own body was flooded with discomfort. Scott spotted Malia and frowned, the girl had become a sister to him and his mind reeled back to what he and Stiles knew.
"We need to tell her the truth about Peter. She's going to see the rest of the Deadpool eventually," Scott expressed, his worry for their Coyote companion was present in regards to their knowledge of her connection to Peter Hale. "Try to remember that Peter is the one name missing on that list─ which either makes him incredibly lucky or the Benefactor," Stiles reminded Scott with worried eyes, they couldn't risk Peter getting into Malia's head purely because she wanted to potentially bond with her biological father. And he was right, Peter was too suspicious in all of this due to not being on the list at all.
"She finds out about him, she's going to go to him. You know she is. And then he's going to twist his way into her head, like he does with everyone─ including us. We let him walk around like nothing ever happened, like he's one of the good guys..." Stiles trailed off with a frown, his mind replaying all the times that Peter had used them or even attacked them; the night of Scott being bitten, the night of Lydia being bitten, the death of Kate resulting in her transformation into a Werejaguar, and finally, the way he manipulated everyone around him at every chance he got.
"Scott, he's not one of the good guys. If she finds out about him, she's gone. That's probably what he's waiting for. And if he wins, we lose," Stiles finished off with a pleading gaze, Malia had become a sister to him and to lose her would be painful after everything she did to help him remain sane during his time in Eichen House. "We're already losing," Scott expressed sorrowfully, his heart aching as he and Stiles turned to Jasmine as she coughed heavily, both of them moved over to her and assisted her in sitting up, leaning back against Scott's chest. "Jasmine?" Stiles called softly as he brushed her hair away from her face.
"I think my symptoms are a little less Supernatural and a little more human... something feels wrong," Jasmine expressed as she rested her hand on her stomach, the two eighteen year olds shared a worried look before sharing a nod. "Okay, we need to get you to a doctor," Stiles said, they couldn't risk the baby. After helping Jasmine stand, exhaustion clear on her face as Stiles approached Malia, "I gotta leave for a few, okay?" Malia hummed, "Where are you going?" Stiles placed his jacket over her shivering body, "Whatever's happening... it's worse for you guys. That means it's not just people getting sick... but Jasmine needs a doctor."
Malia opened her eyes fully and looked towards Jasmine who was leaning on Scott, her breathing heavy and her skin flushed and layered in sweat. "Okay... just make she's okay... you'll both come back, right?" Malia asked, her voice small as she watched Jasmine, the brunette smiled. "We'd never leave you behind, Malia," Jasmine assured her with a motherly smile, the sight eased Malia and she relaxed under the comfort of Stiles' jacket. Stiles took Jasmine's arm and wrapped it around his shoulders, slipping his arm around her waist as the two walked towards the door. Scott opened it letting the two step out, he leaned forward and kissed Jasmine's temple, "Don't worry about us."

Back at the hospital, Deaton was inspecting the brain of the werewolf that died from the virus, his brows furrowed in uncertainty due to the signs of familiarity. "I think I know what this is..." Deaton told Satomi and Melissa, both of them share a worried look in the process as the vet continued, "Unfortunately, if I'm right, and Scott and the rest are infected? It's not good... they're going to die without an antidote. And Jasmine... she'll suffer the worst of it." Melissa's heart dropped into the pit of her stomach, worry for the pack she deemed all her children and worry for the to-be mother who didn't deserve any of this.
Meanwhile, Derek Hale sat by Braeden's bed watching her with a soft expression having found an interest in the fiesty woman. However, her clearing her throat startled him out of his staring causing him to move back and stand; though his soft expression didn't disappear. "What are you still doing here?" Braeden asked trying to fight off a smile in the process. "I'm protecting my investment. Got a lot of money riding on you," Derek remarked as an excuse despite the fact that Braeden could see right through his excuse, she didn't push it, just smiled once again at the Hale wolf.
Derek's attention is taken when a knock echoes from the door followed by Melissa opening it and peeking in, "Derek. I think there's someone here you've been trying to find." He furrowed his brows in confusion until Satomi stepped up from behind Melissa, his expression dropping into one of recognition and sympathy. With the reveal, Melissa and Satomi lead Derek to the morgue where Deaton had finished his autopsy of the body. "It's a variant of Canine Distemper. A few years ago, an outbreak in Yellowstone killed 40% of the Wolf population," Deaton explained to them causing concern to stir in each of them.
"What's it going to do to our wolf population?" Melissa asked as her mind trailed back to her son and his friends. "Well, it's been altered to infect quite a bit faster," Deaton answered her, his mind reeling on the knowledge he had about this as a vet. "You mean it's been weaponized," Derek expressed with his arms crossed, he was beginning to grow tired of these assassins. "It infected my whole pack," Satomi expressed sadly, her face crestfallen at the large loss she had experienced. "Everyone except for you," Deaton pointed out, his finger directly on her, "That's the real question. Did you not get infected? Or are you immune?"
Derek looked over at Satomi as she thought it over, her own mind trying to understand what had made her immune. "If your pack was infected, then who was doing all the shooting at the entrance of the woods?" Derek asked Satomi as Deaton covered the body of the deceased pack member. "Apparently another assassin. Personally, I'd rather face a gun than a variant of smallpox," Satomi expressed to them. "Sounds like you're going to get plenty of chances," Melissa remarked. Satomi lowered her head at those words before glancing at Derek, he sent her an expression of confusion.
"Sorry. I just noticed how much you remind me of Talia," Satomi told Derek who perked up at the mention of his late mother, "I used to visit her a lot, you know. Do you remember me?" Derek smiled fondly at the older werewolf before huffing a small chuckle, "I remember the tea. You always brought that tea that smelled terrible." Satomi smiled reminiscently, "I brought that tea as a gift. Your mother loved it." Deaton stood up straight at the mention of tea, "What kind of tea?" Both of them turned to look at the Vet before Satomi asked, "What?" Deaton stepped forward slightly, "The tea with the smell, what kind was it?"
"Reishi. Wild purple reishi. It's very rare," Satomi answered him, she wasn't quite sure what it mattered. "It's also a very powerful remedy for sickness," Deaton replied as he leaned forward, "Satomi, you didn't get infected because you've been inoculated." Melissa stepped forward feeling a sense of hope for the pack, "Okay, okay. How rare is it? Can we find it?" Derek shook his head, "We don't have to. My mother kept some of it. It's in our vault." Melissa perked up completely at that before asking, "If this is more animal based, why is it affecting Jasmine?" Deaton hummed while Derek and Satomi turned their gazes to the vet.
"Canine Distemper shouldn't affect Jasmine past the limit it makes humans sick... but the baby she is carrying is the product of a Siren and a Wolf," Deaton explained. "So it's affecting the baby?" Satomi asked with her brows furrowed, concern for Andrea's daughter rushing through her. "Not quite. Sirens, when carrying a baby form a protective shield around the womb to prevent any Poison or death to the baby as they are a legacy and blessing under the light of Calypso," Deaton expressed as he crossed his arms and lowered his gaze slightly, Derek frowned worried for the Lute Siren and her Soulmates while Melissa took a steadying breath.
"If I'm right, I believe that Jasmine has interlinked herself with the pack much like an Alpha with a Beta so as they grow weaker, she does too. Essentially, if they die, she'll die with them similar to a human dying from broken heart syndrome after a painful loss in their life," Deaton continued with his explanation prompting Melissa to look up at him as she spoke, "So once the others are cured, she'll be fine?" Deaton sighed, "That is the theory and hope. There isn't a lot about Lute Sirens due to years of being poached and most of them disappearing from the world for their own safety." The room fell quiet at the information hoping that was the case.

Back in the school, Stiles and Jasmine made their way through the halls until they reached the quarantine area where Natalie Martin stood looking at the students who were all with rashes and high fevers. "Stiles, Jasmine, you two aren't looking so good, maybe you ought to lie down," Ms Martin suggested as she turned to the two when they approached her quickly. "It's okay, have you seen Mr Yukimura?" Stiles asked, they had to go to him first due to his knowledge on Sirens─ Mr Yukimura did research on Lute Sirens to be more helpful to his daughters newest friend.
"Yeah, he's fine. He's helping the other students," Ms Martin replied, her brows raised in concern for the two teens. "Okay," Stiles replied before he and Jasmine moved to leave only for Stiles to stop and spot Coach Finstock lying in one of the quarantine beds. "Is Coach the only adult who got sick today?" Stiles questioned Ms Martin, Jasmine leaning her head on Stiles' shoulder as she felt another wave of exhaustion hit her. "As far as I know," Ms Martin answered, the motherly expression of worry on her face was comforting to Jasmine. "Why is he..." Stiles trailed off.
"Stiles, I think you two should lay down. Jasmine needs to be checked," Ms Martin explained but the seventeen year old shook her head before saying, "I know what you're thinking, Stiles, let's go." He looked at her before looking back at Ms Martin, "Yeah, no, it's okay. We'll be back, we'll be right back." Stiles and Jasmine moved to leave the quarantine space, their feet taking them straight to Coaches office in hopes to find an answer as to why Finstock was the only one who managed to get sick out of the adults. It wasn't long until they reached the familiar office connected to the boys locker room, Jasmine leaned against the wall as Stiles searched Coaches desk.
Jasmine rubbed her eyes, her sight blurring immensely as Stiles continued searching the room, falling into Coaches seat where he noticed the bold and red 'APPROVED' letters on a form of some kind. As he looked through the papers, the red ink faded until finally the letters were bold and black much like the liquid that was seeping from Jasmine's chapped lips. "Stiles?" Jasmine whimpered, he looked up and quickly stood from the chair before approaching her and cupping her face. "It's gonna be okay, baby... I promise you," Stiles whispered as he used his sleeve to wipe the blood away, closing his eyes for a moment before opening them, determination blazing within them.
"I was wondering how that idiot got sick," A male voice startled the two teens, Stiles pushing Jasmine behind him as they stepped back from the Host Teacher, Simon. "I'm also wondering where the rest of your friends are," Simon expressed as his eyes landed on Jasmine, "Didn't expect you to get so sick... but you're still worth a pretty penny." Stiles glared at the man, his hold on Jasmine's hand was tight as she shook fearfully. Simon tightened a silencer onto his gun, the sight leaving both teenagers scared and uncomfortable but Stiles was determined to protect Jasmine even if its with his last breath. His gaze darkened in a way it hadn't since the Void days of his life.
"Since in order to get paid by the Benefactor, I need to have proof they're dead," Simon explained further. "Visual confirmation," Stiles muttered out, anxiety gnawing at his chest trying to work out how to escape this situation. With the gun pointed at them, Simon motioned for them to move towards the locker room hoping to lead them over to the showers where the mess would be easier to clean if he didn't get the answers he wished for. "Still a bit feverish, Mr Stilinski?" Simon asked mockingly, "But you should know something, the virus doesn't kill humans. You'll get better. So, don't you think you should tell me where they are? Shouldn't one of you get to live?"
Jasmine stumbled slightly, her vision blurring more as heat blossomed in her chest, she leaned into Stiles' side and he held her close as they stumbled back from Simon. "I think I saw them in the library..." Stiles mocked shaken, "...Or, it might have been the cafeteria. It was definitely one of those two." Simon clicked his tongue as he raised the gun to point directly at Stiles' head, "I'm going to count to three, and then I'm going to kill you." Stiles stood tall, his arm tight around Jasmine as he focused her face to his memories so his last moments would be filled with love, "You think you can scare me?" Simon scoffed, "No... I think I can kill you. I just thought the countdown would make it more exciting."
As Simon counted down, Jasmine moved to push the two of them to the ground when a gunshot echoed followed by blood splatter. Jasmine and Stiles opened their eyes to see Simon's body flop to the ground with a single shot through his head, standing behind him was a tall man wearing a hazmat suit before revealing himself to be Raphael McCall. "Where did you come from?" Stiles asked stunned and panting, his mind racing as Jasmine closed her eyes and took steady breaths. "Stiles, listen. I got a call from Melissa. I don't know what it means. She said there's an antidote. It's in the vault, reishi mushrooms. Jasmine will be better once the others are," Raphael explained as Jasmine sat down on the bench.
"Wait, what in a vault?" Stiles questioned as he glanced at Jasmine, she waved him off and continued to take steadying breaths. "It's in a jar on one of the shelves. She said to tell Scott, it's in the vault," Raphael spoke clearly for the traumatised teenager, Stiles nodded finally understanding what was being said. "Go, Stiles!" Jasmine called out as Raphael dropped by her side, Stiles hesitated for a second before rushing off to the basement where the door to the vault was. After a few moments, Jasmine took in a large breath feeling the discomfort and pain fade; they were okay. "Are you alright?" Raphael asked the teenager. "I will be... we all will be," Jasmine replied softly.
