In the middle of the night
I walk my head held high. 
I'm lonely in this street,
Where no one now breathes.
It's dark, but I have the stars,
Though they don't make me feel less lonely
At a time like this,
When I have lost myself
And life is just too boring for me now.
I look around myself and I see no light,
Everyone is long asleep and
The world doesn't know that I still exist.
I stand at the end of the road and
I wish something could make me breathe.
I close my eyes and I feel the wind,
It's so nice, now I feel like I could fly, indeed.
And then the wind suddenly hits me hard,
No, I think, it's not the wind,
It's magic in the form of it.
I open my eyes, struck by the force,
And at the other end of the street
I see you standing there like a real movie.
Your hands in your pockets,
Your head up to the sky,
If I could take a picture of you like that,
I'd be a happy star.
I take a step and another one,
With every sound of my footsteps
A streetlamp lights up and
A figure fills the wide street.
I walk faster and then I start to run,
My smile is so big, I'm afraid I will combust. 
I run without looking back,
My hair flying in the air, like a white flag.
I know what I've been looking for all this time-
And he's standing in front of me right now.
Don't take a step toward me, I will do all the running,
All you have to do is wait, you have done enough chasing in your life,
I know it too well. 
You've been the light on my way,
During my dark times,
Let me be your light now, 
To sweeten up your bitter nights.
I come to a stop right in front of you,
And when you turn to face me,
I know it for sure.
I realize why I have been like this all my life,
I've been missing a piece,
And I've finally found it...
