Jacob Willams road on his horse, Midnight. The black stallion was surrounded by the blood-scouts. The prince was going to the village next to the sea. Jacob had never gone travelling, but this time, it wasn't anything good. Jacob's father had sent him to kill a shifter. He shivered at the thought. He was one of them! he couldn't kill his own people!

"Sir." a gruff voice interrupted the teen.

"Yes?" He asked, holding the reins to make Midnight stop. "What is it?" The man bowed, and held out a letter. Jacob nodded, and grabbed it. He read through the scroll.

And how am i supposed to that when monitored? He thought, sighing. The messenger ran off again. He snapped the reins to catch up to his party.

By mid-day they made it to the village, and Jacob got a room all to himself. Well, mainly except the guards outside his door.

Jacob woke up with a start. an owl woke him up, but he needed a way to get away. He put on a cloak, and brought some of the things the note said. The teen opened his door. "I'm going for a bit." One of the guards opened his mouth, Jacob interrupted. "Alone." He shuffled his way through the hotel, ignoring the insults that were thrown at him on the way. He got his way to the stable were Midnight was, and took some of the hay and started to sleep again.
