M's The Little Angel Story
A long time ago, roughly twelve years, the was a little angel with the most beautiful wings, a smile that put the stars to shame, golden curls that made the sun shine brighter and the brightest blue eyes that made oceans green with envy. This angel lived with her family, but the family was a broken one. It was missing a father but she didn't mind, she saw it as something that made her different in a good way. She was always happy no matter what.
The little angel had a special gift: she always saw the beauty in all things. Especially in the world around her, and the world would smile to her and invite her into it's sky. So she'd use her beautiful wings and fly about seeing nothing but beauty in the world below her. All was wonderful and she loved her little paradise.
But like all good things, her paradise had to come to an end.
One night as a storm raged on outside, the little angel lay in her bed frightened. She was not cowering in fear of the angry raindrops pelting her window or the ferocious roar of the thunder that shook her home, she was afraid of the screaming demons in her living room. Her once mother and grandmother had been replaced by angry demons, demons out for the blood of the other. She listened as they screamed louder and louder with each word, crying and clutching her teddy bear tightly. Where did the beautiful go? Is this how people really are? Suddenly she heard the demons disappear and her family was back, but they didn't sound the same. Her mother was crying and her grandmother talked softly, like trying to hush a baby to sleep. Then all went quiet as her mother walked out the door slamming it behind her. She cried hard as she started seeing how ugly people really were. The little angel hoped it wasn't true, so she climbed out her bedroom window and flew up into the night sky, whose storm had calmed as the demons left. She flew as high as she could, hoping to still see the beauty that once stood. But that's when the unthinkable happened. Suddenly out of no where, a pair of strong cold hands grabbed hold of her wings. She tried to tear loose from their grip, but the effort was in vain. Then she felt the most unbearable pain; the hands slowly ripped her wings, her beautiful wings, away from her back and let her fall to the earth below. She crashed hard on the ground, slowly rising with tears streaming down her face. Each tear pulling away some of the brightness from her now slowly dulling blue eyes. She looked up at the sky and frowned, hiding away a smile that was no longer real. The rain slowly started up again, washing away her golden hair and darkening it to a tarnished brown. The little angel walked around, finally seeing the true form of the world. It was ugly and it hurt people when given the chance. She screamed at the sky, screamed for her wings. Begging to have them back. Walking about this ugly world, she asked anyone and everyone to help her get her wings back. Her voice pleading and filled with such pain, but no one helped her.
The little angel isn't so little anymore, she's now a teenager and fights to survive in this ugly, cruel world. She doesn't ask for help to get her wings back anymore; if you listen very closely when she speaks to you, you can her it in her voice. That same pain and pleading for help, can you help me get my wings back, never left all these years.
