This is my excuse so I can write about corgos.

Flashback
Light! I saw light! I was in a small box in a bigger box. My brothers and sisters taked about getting "adopted". I didn't know what that was so I asked them. "It's where a human comes and takes you to their home and takes care of you!" This idea didn't seem to fun right away. "But don't you want to explore?!"

"Why would we want to do that?" I didn't understand. "You can see the world! I don't want to be cooped up with some boring old human until I at least have an adventure!"

I always felt different from my brothers and sisters. One by one, they all got adopted. Until only my brother and I were left.

He was like me. He wanted to see the world before he got adopted, so we planned an escape. "I think that's what they call a latch." He said. "If I could move it so it's not blocking the opening, we could get out.

"But what about the moving wall up front? The one humans go through to get in and out?"

"I...Don't know." He laid down and sulked. "If we do get out...Let's stick together, okay?"

"Okay..!"

I sprung up, scaring the woman. "My brother!" I tried to get her attention that I needed to go out, running to the door and running back, and thankfully she got what I meant.

She opened the door, and I sprinted to the woods, going to the place where I last saw him.

I knew the woman was following me.

I told my brother I would come straight back after finding food, but I got distracted!

I finally made it to the small cave.

There he was.

Thank god he was okay!

I rushed towards him, and nuzzled his face. But he seemed upset. "Where were you..?"

"I-I got distracted! I'm sorry!" The woman finally caught up. My brother lowly growled at her. "Who did you bring with you..."

"She gave me food! We can be safe with them! And if you don't like it, we...We'll leave!"

He looked at me with cold eyes, and got up. "Fine. But I'm only doing this because you're my sister." He slowly walked towards the woman, keeping his guard up.

"Is this your friend, Asher?" My brother turned to look at me, then went back to staring at the woman. I know he doesn't trust her. But I can't have us living like this forever!

She took us both back. She tried to carry us, but my brother seemed too hostile for her. I was being carried, but I don't think my brother appreciates her holding me.

She placed us on what they call a couch, and looked at my brother. Now, we need a name for you mister!

He didn't seem very keen on the idea, but he sat down and waited for her to say a name he liked.

"Uhm...Bear!" No response.
"Dexter!" Nope.
"Connor!" Nuh uh.
"Ace!" Nah.
"Eren!" His ears perked up. "Hi Eren!" She said, slowly reaching out to pet him. Surprisingly, he let her.

I think Eren fits him. He'll like this place. I know it.

And also...
Since the first episode of Attack On Titan season 2 came out yesterday...

I wanted to name the pupper after Eren.
Oops.

Lol just wait until there are tons of puppers in this story and all of them are named after anime characters except Asher.
