I
His shoes hit the ground, mind running wild. His thoughts could drive him absolutely insane; But they didn't. Not yet. His hands covered his face, cold at the touch—pale, bruising skin— he removed them, looking at the ledge. His deep pupils started down at the railroads, mind sinking.
He was suddenly moved, now at the tracks. He was crying, body trembling. The brunette stared- a train barreling his way, hearing a loud blaring whistle. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a figure, but his eyes were focused on the train. He couldn't move them, no matter how hard he tried. The figure ran as fast as it could to save the boy, but he was a fraction of a second too late.
The moment the train collided with his figure, the moment he was back sitting at the ledge, alive. Tyler was crying- Terrified. He'd seen the vision many times, but never the figure. Who was it, and why didn't they want him dead? His demons hated it. Maybe the thought of the mysterious figure would drive him to the edge. He was tempted- tempted to stand in front of the train, just to see who the figure was, but he didn't. As if a coincidence, someone tapped his shoulder.
"You okay?" Someone asked, it was a masculine tone.
He didn't answer, hugging himself. He didn't want to be there anymore as he felt the stranger sit down beside him.
"Why are you here?"
"What, am I not allowed to be?!" Tyler snapped.
The stranger fell silent, and he immediately felt guilty.
"My name's Tyler. "
"Well Tyler, I want to help you."
"I don't need help."
"You do. " The stranger whispered
Tyler knew he was right, but he denied it. He wouldn't admit to a stranger that he needed help.
"Do you have friends Tyler?"
'Ouch' Tyler thought. But it was true. He didn't.
"No."
"Wrong."
"Excuse me? "
"Try again. You have at least one. "
"No, I don't. " He whispered, self-consciously hugging himself.
"No I don't. "
"You have me."
"I don't even know your name. "
"Josh."
